Housed in a beautiful building dating back to 1895, you'll instantly feel the history of your neighbourhood while also enjoying 21st-century comforts. Pared-back and elegantly simple, the main open-plan living space allows the large windows to do the talking, from which you can see the stunning architecture that defines your vibrant area. Whether you’re starting mornings at the breakfast island over pancakes and coffee or kicking back on the sofa with a glass of wine, you’ll have no trouble feeling right at home here. Factor in two inviting bedrooms and a communal lounge downstairs complete with a roaring fire and you’ve got everything you need for a relaxing stay. Outside of your home, Philadelphia City Hall is a three-minute walk away, Independence Hall is an eighteen-minute stroll, while Rittenhouse Square is ten minutes on foot from your door.

The trendy modernity of this bright apartment beautifully contrasts with its surroundings – Philadelphia’s Old City district. Inside, contemporary furnishings and a light, neutral colour scheme create a thoroughly relaxing space that’s a pleasure to return to after a busy day. Put together a Philly cheesesteak in the well-equipped kitchen and dig in at the breakfast bar. Once you’re ready and raring to go, make a beeline for the Liberty Bell, Betsy Moss House and Elfreth's Alley Museum – all situated within a ten-minute walk from your building. Picnic at Race Street Pier before taking a gentle stroll along the promenade to the Museum of the American Revolution. In the evening, wander into Center City for cool drinking dens and must-book restaurants and – Morimoto was one of our favourites. And when it’s time to call it a night, your comfy bed awaits for a long and restful slumber.

Love Shy

A comfortable hub in Philly's "Loft District", known for its high-rises and refurbished industrial buildings. Originally home to a major manufacturer, your own former factory building features a stunning open-plan layout with large Crittall windows, a polished concrete floor, and Edison bulbs hanging from the ceiling. The apartment leans into the artsy, creative vibe of this emerging neighbourhood by providing you with a vinyl player so you can sit back and relax to the warm tones of perfectly imperfect records at the end of the day. Head downstairs, and you'll find a vast three-dimensional, wall-mounted sculpture that sets the tone for the neighbourhood. Next, take a five-minute stroll to The Rail Park. Much like New York's High Line, it's an urban nature walk that winds between the skyscrapers. Come evening, those in the know flock to Spring Garden Street for its cool brewpubs and live music venues like Union Transfer, or head over to Underground Arts for music, comedy, poetry, and theatre performances. Elsewhere, vibrant 13th street is lined with lively bars and chic eats, while the area's art galleries show off eclectic works by local artists. If you're looking for non-stop entertainment, this Callowhill St flat is hard to top.

Holmes & Watson

Only recently built-in 2018, guests can expect high-quality finishings throughout. And since you're positioned in the heart of the historic Old City district, this place doesn't lack charm either. The vast floor-to-ceiling apartment invites floods of natural light and a street view that overlooks the local architecture. It's a bright and inviting space with a sociable open layout to match. One person can be cooking in the kitchen while the other relaxes just a few metres away on the sofa with a glass of wine in hand – we'll let you fight between yourselves over who takes which role. Ideal for a small group of friends or a family in town to discover the local sights, it's safe to say you won't be short on things to see and do when staying here. Explore the streets filled with an endless array of hip cafes, galleries, and restaurants, before playing a round of mini-golf at Franklin Square, just a six-minute walk away. Not to mention the historical monuments of Liberty Bell and the Independence Hall, which offer photograph-worthy moments, only a twelve-minute stroll away from your front door. 

The Bourbon

Modern and stylish, this smart set-up will instantly put you at ease, whether you're a seasoned business traveller or exploring Philadelphia for the very first time. Located in the lively Midtown Village, many of the city's top sights and monuments are within easy walking distance, as well as plenty of culinary delights, so you don't need to worry about the lack of a kitchen here. Inside, rustic hardwood floors, tall windows and a calming navy-blue colour scheme combine to create a warm and welcoming home to call your own.

When you're not lounging in the plush atmosphere of your pad, you're right in the thick of things here. With beautiful Rittenhouse Square and the conveniently located Walnut-Locust station nearby, plenty of trendy restaurants and lively bars right on your doorstep, and Philadelphia City Hall only a short stroll away. If your number one priority is a central base in a desired location, then look no further.

Philly Blue

While the Liberty Bell is an eleven-minute walk away and Benjamin Franklin’s Grave is just seven minutes away, you’ll also find the area teeming with restaurants, bars and cafes. Tree-lined streets in the neighbourhood are dotted with a mix of charming row houses, cosy cafes and sleek new builds, while excellent eateries, lively bars and local boutique shops are all within easy reach. After a cheesesteak and a stroll along the Delaware River, come home to this bright and inviting living space. The aesthetic is contemporary and chic, with a glossy bathroom and Scandi-inspired furniture. Sprawl out on the sofa and stream your favourite show on the Chromecast or, come dinnertime, rustle up a meal in the kitchen – it has all the cookware you'll need. Prepare to make an entrance at this exclusive serviced apartment located right in the heart of Philly’s city centre. Housed in a grand 19th Century building, there’s a feeling of luxury the moment you set foot inside the impressive lobby. Ornate arches and columns and lofty original windows show the bones of its past, while the rest of the building is reworked for chic, modern living. After a busy day exploring Philly, you’ll be able to relax in style here. Crash out in the light-filled living space with dual aspect windows overlooking the grand avenues below. Whip up a bite to eat in the well-equipped kitchen. Or spill out into the dining area, which could easily double up as a handy space to catch up on emails should you be combining work and play in the city. And when it’s time to time to experience some culture and meet the locals, you won’t have far to go. Rittenhouse Square and the iconic City Hall are less than ten minutes away on foot. Or hop on the subway at Walnut-Locus Station (four minutes on foot) and head to the Old City to see the famous Liberty Bell and Independence Hall. And when thoughts turn to food, try out some of the best restaurants that the city has to offer, just a five-minute stroll around the block on 13th Street.

Juniper Row

Housed in a building that was originally used by a major manufacturer, this cool, industrial-style apartment in Philadephia’s Callowhill neighbourhood offers an arty, comfortable stay in one of the city’s trendiest areas. You’ll instantly love the large open-plan layout of the main living space with its canary yellow sofa, beam light fixtures, tall Crittal-style windows and beautiful mural handpainted by a local artist. After waking up in the stylish bedrooms, step out onto the living area’s private balcony for a cup of joe in the fresh air. Then, following a meal at the sleek breakfast bar or around the glass dining table, head out to explore the surrounding sights – of which there are many. Enjoy some quiet reading in The Rail Park (a five-minute walk away), visit Philadelphia City Hall (an eleven-minute walk), spend an afternoon at the Franklin Institute (an eighteen-minute walk) and be sure to catch an indie gig at one of the countless live music venues right on your doorstep. 


Art & Soul

To say this place has kerb appeal is an understatement. A smart apartment in a recently converted office building, it dates from the late 1890s and features one of the most impressive facades in the city centre. Originally built for the Presbyterian Board of Publications, its sculptures and ornate decoration describe the story of this denomination. Step inside and you'll find the lobby is warm and welcoming, with high ceilings, a seating area and a fireplace. But it's been thoroughly modernised – with an emphasis on the modern. The apartment is so new it practically sparkles. Minimal and neat, its white walls and wood floors make for a calm feeling and its open layout makes it a sociable space for up to four guests. Just down the street from the unmistakable Philadelphia City Hall, you'll be right in the heart of things and just a short walk from most of the area's major attractions.

How to make an Entrance

This building was once the site of a major manufacturer and there are certain industrial-chic aspects retained in the current apartment, such as the exposed whitewashed brickwork and the bare lightbulbs hanging artfully from a girder. The huge windows that line the walls feel similarly functional, in that they flood the space with natural light — the fact that they also give wonderful views of the Philadelphia skyline is an added bonus. Despite this direction with the interior design, the minimalist white kitchen and bathroom look completely brand new. We appreciated the mural on the bedroom wall by a local artist, which feels appropriate given the creative spirit of the surrounding Callowhill neighbourhood. Here, it's possible to catch concerts at Franklin Music Hall and Union Transfer, both around ten minutes' walk away, or you can take a wander along The Rail Park, which sits just across the street.

The Eagle Has Landed

With exceptional neighbourhood restaurants and vibrant LGBTQ+ nightlife right on your doorstep, and many of Philadelphia's headline attractions a short distance away, this accessible Midtown Village studio is set within a historic red-brick building that certainly stands out from the crowd.

Inside, its soaring ceilings and hardwood floors provide a pleasing contrast to the eye-catching modern art adorning the walls, while there are small nods to the building's industrial past dotted around. It's small, and there isn't a kitchen, but it's a fantastic base for exploring nonetheless.

Spend your days discovering the neighbourhood and unwinding in Rittenhouse Square. For Rocky fans, no trip to the city would be complete without making the pilgrimage to the Philadelphia Museum of Art steps for a chance to recreate that iconic shot from the movie. Afterwards, return home for a chance to freshen up before painting the town pink on a night out in the Gayborhood.
