Found in Vuokatti Ski Centre, this apartment is a lovely spot to return to after a day of tearing up the slopes. Not only is there a crackling fireplace in the living room next to which you can warm cold fingers, but there's also an electric sauna so you can fully embrace a Finnish tradition. An added bonus comes in the shape of a balcony with forest views and some seating from which to enjoy this peaceful vista. You also appreciate this scenery rom the communal living space, which is full of comfy furnishings and some pretty jazzy curtains. Interior design aside, there's a simple reason why people consider this address — the resort's slopes can be reached in a mere five minutes on foot, along with a pair of restaurants. In addition to skiing, the banks of Jäätiönlampi lake can be reached in six minutes' drive and the town of Kajaani is half an hour away.
