Top 20 Sutton Place, New York vacation rentals & luxury serviced apartments
Sutton Place is a cosy, affluent enclave on the East River at the upper end of Midtown. One of New York City's smallest and most exclusive neighbourhoods, its six or so tree-lined blocks are marked with regal townhouses and lovely pre-war apartment buildings. Unlike other districts in the city, Sutton Place’s cross streets end in cul-de-sacs (which means that traffic is light), opening up into delightful parks offering astounding views and fresh air. The quiet streets offer a calm respite from the hustle and bustle of inner Manhattan, but the thing we really love about this neighbourhood is the intricate architectural detail you'll see dotted all over – delicate filigree work on lamp posts, finely carved doors, and beautiful iron railings all contribute to Sutton Place's sophisticated charm and artistry. It is still worth noting that New York is a very busy city (it’s not called “the city that never sleeps” for nothing). As part of an authentic New York experience, you can expect some noise and construction coming from the streets, whether it be roadwork, scaffolding, or honking yellow taxis.
