Top 20 Vinegar Hill, New York vacation rentals & luxury serviced apartments

As far as anyone knows, no vinegar has ever been mass-produced in Vinegar Hill, a minuscule neighbourhood covering only eight blocks, on Brooklyn's northwestern shore, just to the East of the noisier, busier neighbourhood of Dumbo. The neighbourhood was originally home to Irish and Eastern European immigrants who arrived here in search of a better life, but today the neighbourhood is mainly filled with artists and professionals who enjoy the quiet, olde worlde feel and quaint cobbled streets. Tree-lined Hudson Avenue is the longest continuous stretch of the Vinegar Hill historic district, and probably gives the best impression of what the neighbourhood must have been like nearly two hundred years ago. The area maintains a lovely tight-knit community feel whilst also being well-connected to the bright lights of the city proper - you can whizz on a train to Downtown Manhattan in no time from the nearby York Street subway station.
