Batignolles is a laid-back part of town where different generations live happily alongside each other in a trendy and unpretentious atmosphere. It has tons of bistros, wine bars and arts spaces concentrated across a couple of streets and it's the supposed birthplace of a new hip young class called 'bobo' (bourgeois bohemians). It has a charming little square with its own church and market and is a cool pocket of Paris which tourists haven't properly discovered yet.
