Top 20 Navona, Rome vacation rentals & luxury serviced apartments
Stretching from Piazza Navona to the river, the area is one of the most atmospheric in the city. The Piazza, with its Bernini statues and Borromini church, is the main draw, but there are any number of golden palazzos, many with inner courtyards to explore. The area is sliced in two by Corso Vittorio Emmanuele, one of Rome's most frenetic roads, but you can dive down the nearest sides street and you'll immediately find yourself in Renaissance surroundings. While there are many charming art galleries and pottery stores, be sure to tear your gaze up so as not to miss the century-old friezes and iconography preserved on the walls. Neighbours include the rich and famous – Fendi scions are known to live in the area – as well as a fair few pilgrims enjoying the proximity to the Vatican.
