When it comes to a stay on the slopes, you can’t get much more charming or convenient than this chic chalet-style home. The white walls and natural woods of the interior design are as pretty as the Swiss mountains outside, and if you fancy a glimpse of the real thing, just step out onto your private balcony and take in the view of the slopes. During the summer months you can hit the hiking trails, and in the winter there’s a free shuttle bus to the ski runs of Corviglia Piz Nair, where you can shred some powder. Or you could just grab a hot chocolate, bundle up on the sofa, and spend the day watching the snowflakes drift down over the peaks – we won't judge you, the view is utterly incredible. 

A Real Corker

To say the views of Lake Como seen from this apartment are remarkable is an understatement. It’s a panorama best admired from the private wraparound balcony or the complex's shared poolside. Inside, the open-plan living and kitchen isn’t the most palatial, and that canary yellow bedroom might be too perky for some. That said, it’s all beautifully cared for and perfect for a small family sharing. Nestled in the quaint village of Perledo, you’ve got all of Lake Como’s best bits within easy reach, starting with Varenna, just a short drive away. Or hop on the nearby ferry to other hotspots including Lecco, Bergamo, and Milan.

Lake Como View

With its jagged peaks covered in pristine snow and dotted with evergreen trees, St Moritz is regarded as one of the jewels in the crown of the Swiss Alps. And just imagine waking up to a view of the mountainside you will shortly be skiing down. This charming apartment may not be huge, but it's homely, warm, and has everything you need to stay in comfort. There’s even a conservatory balcony so you can sit and admire the view with a hot drink without feeling the chill. There’s a ski storage room on-site so you can have quick access to your equipment, and with the cable car nearby, you can be on the slopes in no time. During the summer months, it's equally as lovely as a destination for hiking, cycling, fishing and golfing. Here you'll be just a few minutes' walk from the shore of the lake and within striking distance the buzzing town.

Hide & Peak

Ski enthusiasts will feel right at home in this cosy apartment at the foot of the slopes in Lenzerheide. With the nearest run just a seven-minute walk away, and plenty more snowy descents surrounding it, the wood-ceilinged pad is the perfect jumping-off point.

When you need some post-piste downtime, you'll have access to a sauna, outdoor hot tub and wellness centre in the building. Unwind while taking in the breathtaking mountainscapes in every direction, then head into the town centre for some aprés-ski cuisine. Lenzerheide has a selection of homely restaurants serving classic dishes that will warm you up in no time.

If you're visiting in the summer, you can enjoy a whole different set of activities – the town is equipped with tennis courts and golf courses, and there's no shortage of scenic hiking routes to embark on. 

Timber Triangle

If you’re looking for a home with a view, then how about this apartment, which has captivating Lake Como vistas from its small balcony? Inside, the open-plan living space sleeps two guests on a sofa bed at full capacity. We love the outlook from the dining table here, too – at this home, you can create wonderful memories. Set in the town of Menaggio with its lakeside promenade, you’ll have plenty to occupy your time or go for a scenic hike in the nearby mountains. With its fantastic location, this apartment is the perfect retreat.

Lakeside Chic

The views of Lake Como from this home are simply gorgeous – we could sit on the balcony here gazing out over the gently rippling water to the mountains for hours. You can enjoy the incredible vistas from the terrace too, where you can relax on the sun loungers or dine alfresco. Whip up some tortelli di zucca in the sleek, dove grey kitchen for dinner. On chilly evenings gather around the fire or get some rest in the stylish bedrooms with their ornate wallpaper. 

Situated in Argegno, there are a range of eateries within a five-minute walk. Further afield, the alpine city of Lecco, with its splendid Basilica di San Nicolò, is eleven minutes in the car. Or walk the trails of the stunning Monte Barro Regional Park, a sixteen-minute drive from this lovely home.



Watching The Boats Go By

Just a stone’s throw from the banks of Lake Lugano, this stylish, modern apartment is ready to ease you into a heavenly, relaxing stay – this is Paradiso, of course. 
 
Contemporary furnishings and large windows provide a cool, sophisticated welcome in the open-plan living area where the sofas beckon hours lounging with a good book and the sleek kitchen is all set to help you cook up homemade feasts. 
 
Gaze out onto views of the lake and its surrounding mountains – gorgeous at any time of day. 
 
At the end of the night, your comfortable bedroom waits to drift you into a peaceful night’s sleep, leaving you rested and ready for another day of fun. 
 
Speaking of adventures that await, you’ve also got access to a resident’s garden across the street where a diving board is primed to let you jump straight into Lake Lugano’s crystal clear waters. You’re also a fourteen-minute stroll from Parco Panoramico Paradiso, while countless restaurants, shops and bars wait to be discovered along the water’s edge. With the Sentiero dell'Olivo hiking path and the picturesque village of Gandria both also a fifteen-minute drive away, you’re spoilt for choice when it comes to scenic ways to spend your days.


Paradiso Found

If a view of Lake Lugano is at the top of your holiday wishlist, then this is the home for you. Smart and sophisticated, this Paradiso apartment is just a stone's throw away from the water's edge, and makes the perfect place to kick back and relax between your adventures. 

Step inside, and you'll find a serene space with plenty of contemporary style. Flop down on the sofa to rest your legs, or get busy in the kitchen cooking up some tasty dishes using fresh local ingredients. The large windows bring in plenty of natural light, and you can step out onto the balcony for a better look at the panoramic views. There's space to eat outside, should you fancy dining in the sunshine, and the bedrooms also have terrace access so you can sip your morning coffee in the fresh air. 

From here, the lakeside is just across the road, where you can saunter along and marvel at the mountains across the water. If you fancy taking a boat trip, then the Lugano Paradiso ferry stop is a five-minute walk away. And, with the city centre of Lugano just a ten-minute drive away, you can visit the museums, take a dip in the lido, and stroll through the serene Parco Ciani with ease. 

Lake Magic

The Italian Alps offer charm and excitement throughout both summer and winter. While ski resorts like Livigno have enough excellent terrain to draw the snowsports crowds, a relaxing stay in lush mountain scenery wouldn’t go amiss in warmer months. In a similar way, this home allows you to experience both sides of the region.

Just a five-minute walk from the nearest ski lift, this studio apartment is more than handy for skiers and snowboarders. But as the sun beats down in the heat of July, it’s equally wonderful for picturesque bike rides (courtesy of your host). Either way, you’ll be in need of relaxation afterwards – that’s where the sauna comes in.

Beyond the wooden porch and pine interiors of this modern building, the luxe spa sits on its own floor. With beanbags and a chill-out area next to the glass door to the sauna, you’ve got plenty of space to kick back if it gets too hot. 

Two Seasons

You’ll find this slick, modern apartment in the centre of Churwalden, a charming town with lift access to Lenzerheide, one of the best ski resorts in Switzerland. Outdoorsy types will spend their days hiking through the Eichhörnchenwald forest, hitting the Arosa Lenzerheide slopes and strolling around Heidsee lake, a seven-minute drive away. But if you’d prefer to take it easy, unwind in the nearby wellness centre or bob about in the outdoor swimming pool, just a two-minute walk from your doorstep. 

Inside the home, the open-plan living space is the perfect place to kick back with a mug of hot cocoa after a busy day of exploring. Cook up a storm in the fully-equipped kitchen and serve to your loved ones at the dining table. After a glass of wine on the private balcony, retreat to quiet bedrooms for a restful sleep, ready to do it all again in the morning. 

Alpine Meadow

This quiet hilltop apartment with mountain and river views from a private terrace is all about rest and reset. Set in a small village two kilometres outside Sorico, besides nearby hiking trails and a local park and bar, there's little else within walking distance. But for us, that's all part of the charm – and Lago di Como and Lago di Mezzola are just a short drive away when it's time to join the bustle. It's worth noting, at full occupancy, the last two guests will share a sofa bed in the lounge. While this won't suit everyone, it would work out great for a small family sharing.

Leonardo's Haven

Situated in a prime location overlooking Lake Como with a backdrop of mountains – the setting couldn’t be more dramatic. There’s an infinity swimming pool and terrace with wonderful views, while inside, the vistas continue to wow. Inside, there’s an open-plan living room and a cosy bar area – perfect for entertaining. And to make sure you have time to relax, a free breakfast is served daily by the private chef. For lunch, you can do some cooking in the stylish kitchen or visit one of the local restaurants a short stroll away.
