You could while away hours simply admiring the stunning views from the balcony or living area. But it will be hard to resist the fun that awaits outdoors. 

This home is a gateway to the majestic Chamonix-Mont-Blanc region, where adventurers come to ski, hike, mountain bike or simply enjoy this location. The closest ski lifts are within five-minutes walk and the centre of Argentière is only eight-minutes on foot. You’ll love the laid-back and rustic charm of this village. After a day exploring mountain paths, enjoy a heart-warming drink at a local bar.

Whether you’re here for a natural high or to relax and unwind, this home makes the perfect setting to experience the best of Alpine living.

The Juliette

If you’re looking for a getaway near Lago Maggiore, this studio apartment next to Bogogno Golf Club might be the one. It’s part of a renovated farmhouse, so it’s full of character with stone walls and terracotta floors. At full capacity, two guests will share the sofa bed. However, the bedroom is screened off, which creates a sense of separation. The space opens onto your own section of terrace under a wisteria pergola, and there are shared gardens too. Restaurants are just a short walk away, and you can even add breakfast or a full butler service if you want to make things easy.

Serenity Serenade

This historic farmhouse and barn have been transformed into a striking modern apartment, perfect for exploring the Italian Lake District. Open up the sliding doors to combine the indoor space with the outdoor terrace – ideal for sunny evenings when eating on the patio is a must. However, the space is equally inviting inside, where you can admire original features, such as the exposed stone walls and wooden beams. Halfway between Lakes Maggiore and Lugano, you'll have lots of options for days out – set sail on a boat trip, explore nearby cycling trails (there's bike storage here), or drive to the nearby town of Varese for historic sights.

The Priory

Built in 2020, you’ll find this pristine chalet just a nine-minute walk from the picture-perfect ski village of Nendaz, overlooking the Rhone Valley. Indoors is all about comfort, with soft-as-butter leather sofas, high ceilings and blissful beds with crisp linens. An open-plan living space is complete with modern furnishings in warm neutrals, a perfect match to the exposed wood walls. For snow-sports lovers, Nendaz boasts 412 kilometres of powdery pistes so you’re utterly spoilt for choice. On days when you want to take it easy, there’s a shared heated pool with incredible mountain views, sauna and wellness centre. In the evenings, we can’t think of anything better than gathering on your private balcony for an indulgent feast of cheese and wine – the home comes with its own raclette grill and fondue set. 

Bon Hiver

This ground-floor hideaway is part of a beautifully restored Italian farmhouse. Designed with natural materials, it’s a cosy yet stylish base for couples or solo travellers. Our favourite spot? The private garden terrace, shaded by a wisteria-draped pergolas – perfect for tucking into breakfasts in the fresh air or enjoying an evening aperitivo as the sun sets. And with Bogogno Golf Club next door, Lago Maggiore a short drive away, and Malpensa Airport under 30 minutes, it’s a practical base to be at too.

House Of Olive

There's nothing shy or retiring about this Swiss chalet, where bigger is better. Set against a backdrop of towering peaks and dramatic vistas, this home has taken some of that theatre to heart. The living room is huge, with a gigantic fuchsia sofa that could fit your party – and then some – in front of a feature brick fireplace. The kitchen is well-equipped with traditional goodies, including a fondue set and raclette grill, providing fodder for epic feasts. The slopes are only 100m away – the ski lift is a kilometre away – meaning competent skiers can strap up and just speed off on a day's adventure. Big baths await to soak tired muscles in bedrooms and bathrooms, our favourite being the stretched tub in the master suite – we're pretty sure there's room for two. If you're visiting in summer, a spacious garden and terrace furniture is perfect for catching the sunset, and if you need a break from all that cheese, you can fire up the barbecue.

Surprise Me

This idyllic villa is perched right on Lake Maggiore, with direct access to a private stretch of beach, so it's perfect for a serene lakeside getaway. If that wasn't enough, you can also unwind in the private sauna, take a dip in the pool, or while away the days on a lounger, taking in views of the mountains. A real highlight is the ground-floor suite, where you'll have direct access to the garden (and a jacuzzi with a view) – but upstairs, the living room is the more homely space, with its high ceilings and whimsical decor. As secluded as this home may seem, it's an easy drive to Laveno-Mombello, and the centre of Ispra is just a fifteen-minute walk away.

Blissful Waters

With wondrous mountain views, a warming hot tub, and an incredible location, this chalet apartment presents some of the area’s best alpine living. Located in Argentière, a picturesque ski village in the Chamonix-Mont-Blanc region, you’ll be continuously impressed by the comfort and style of this home, as well as its amenities. 

In a traditional alpine village, you might not expect such an upscale contemporary interior. Blending luxury with rustic charm, the home’s soft furnishings, warming fire, and calming tones provide the perfect place for relaxing after a day on the slopes. Not only is the interior delightfully cosy, but the whole home has your comfort in mind. If you want to find your zen, your host can arrange for yoga lessons, or you can unwind in your private sauna, or even cheers to sunset in the hot tub. And for the cherry on top – your host can arrange for your fridge to be stocked with wine hand-picked by expert sommeliers. That cheers to sunset will be extra special with a sommelier-approved wine in hand. 

Step outside and you’ll reach the Grand Montets ski lifts in just a few minutes by foot. Enjoy a day on the slopes before heading for a delicious lunch in Argentière – all that skiing certainly works up an appetite. There are several bars and pubs to enjoy a well-deserved drink, too. Or, you can make your way to the centre of Chamonix – it’s about a fifteen-minute drive away – to take full advantage of its bustling après ski scene. A local team of travel assistants can help you plan and make the most out of your time in the Alps with ski slopes, restaurants, and bar recommendations. 

Alpine Adoration

This apartment is nestled in gorgeous Wengen, high in the Swiss Alps. Whether you're visiting in the height of summer or the depths of winter, it's a brilliant place to begin your adventures. 

Step inside and you'll find a modern space with wooden beams and large windows that frame the stunning mountain views outside. You can stretch out on the sofa and gaze out across the valley, or head outside onto the balcony for a better look. And, when you are in need of replenishment, you can head to the kitchen to whip up some hearty dishes – there's even a fondue set for the ultimate post-skiing meal. 

The lifts up to the Jungfrau ski region are only 600m away, so you can be one of the first people on the slopes each day. During the warmer months, you can explore the rugged landscapes on foot or on your bike. And, with a swimming pool, tennis courts, river rafting, and even a paragliding centre nearby, there's an activity to suit everyone. 

Slalom Race

Like a dream, this classic Italian villa perched high above the waters of Lake Maggiore offers panoramic views of the serene, deep blue lake and the mountains that hug its shoreline. With its towering, historical structure and traditionally luxe interior design, there’s certainly the air of a Henry James or E. M. Forster novel about this home – it’s easy to imagine the stories that might have been written here over the years and the paintings that may have tried to capture the sensational views. After all, there’s nowhere that snags the imagination quite like Italy, and this villa is Italy at its finest – huge, arched French windows and doors frame the lake from nearly every room, while tiled floors, marble fireplaces, and antique furnishings add to the aristocratic feel of this home perched on the hillside. Take your morning espresso for gentle meanderings through the mature garden before heading down to the pool for the rest of the day, which feels nearly tropical with the surrounding palm trees. Still, you can’t mistake the distinct glamour and relaxed pace of Northern Italy, so grab a drink from the poolside fridge and stay put on the lounger. If you’d like to arrange for fridge fills, private chefs, personal training, boat rental or massages, your host can ensure you really are living the 19th-century lifestyle. Or perhaps you’d rather spend the afternoons in the pastel blue living room – it looks like just the place to pen the next grand European novel. After dinner, you might want to try your hand at billiards, in a game room that naturally also looks out onto the lake. At the end of the night, it’s likely that the terrace will still be calling your name for digestifs lengthy chats under the stars.

The Painted Window

While this chalet in Rairettes was built in 2013, its wooden walls, arched ceilings and slate roof make it feel quintessentially old-school Swiss. There's a smart twist, however, with floor-to-ceiling windows at the front of the home that give unparalleled views over the snow-capped mountains. Whether you're cooking in the pine kitchen, cuddled round the feature fireplace or squashed onto the crushed velvet sofa, eyes will invariably gaze out over the magnificent vistas. In the summer, it's out to the home's balcony and grassy garden for barbecues, alfresco feasts, and even a spot of tanning on the loungers if it's warm enough. Mountain trails – both hiking and skiing – can be found not far from the plot for days exploring ridges and new pastures. When you're done, head back to the plush pad for evening soaks in the deep bathtub or a session in the private sauna.
