This simple, fuss-free apartment is an ideal retreat for a coastal family getaway. It may not be the biggest, but it’s well-equipped and comfortable, with the sun-drenched balcony an added bonus. For some respite from the Costa Blanca sun, the communal swimming pool is a welcome sight, framed by towering palm trees. If you prefer not to drive, a car’s not essential here. A short walk from the apartment and you’ll find a selection of shops and restaurants, or for a stroll on sandy shores, Platja de l'Arenal beach is just 800 metres away. 

A Dream in White

This seaside haven in the heart of Javea Port is our kind of heaven. Tucked away and yet mere moments from La Grava beach, this ground floor two-bedroom home is pure boho-beach chic. Featuring a lovely, light filled open plan kitchen cum dining and living room, courtesy of floor to ceiling sliding glass doors which open out onto a cosy courtyard, this artful home boasts both style and substance. Nods to the nautical meet whitewashed walls and windows shutters while brand spanking new cabinetry meets worn wooden furniture, woven basket lights and colourful framed prints. 

Undoubtedly the star of the show, however, is the interior courtyard, with its traditional Tosca stone walls and Spanish style tiled floor – the perfect relaxing retreat come morning, noon or night. You’ll love rising early to catch the sunrise before taking your morning coffee out into the courtyard. Host cook offs and gather around the dining table for sociable meal times or head out for hours of sun-baked fun at the beach before meandering along to one of the many local seaside cafes for fresh food and uninterrupted Mediterranean views. 


Boho-Beach Chic

Located in a residential beach area in Javea and sitting just 1 kilometre from Playa La Grava Beach, this comfortable villa invites plenty of outdoor leisure time. Featuring a private pool and a covered terrace with views of the sea and mountains, relaxation is all but guaranteed. Inside, a foosball table provides hours-worth of entertainment and the pair of living rooms and kitchens makes it ideal for groups of friends or multi-generational families looking for more flexible living arrangements. 


Palm Horizons

This apartment is nestled on the coast of the historic Javea, a short walk from the sea. The central location means parking will be tricky, but you'll be close to public transport. You'll want to pack light here – the home is small, but has everything needed for a fuss-free stay. We especially like the private balcony, which offers natural light and enough space to sit out with a drink. If you want a base for exploring the town and coastline, you can't get much closer to the action.

Sunburst Shores

Fuss-free, homely and only a fifteen-minute walk from Arenal Beach, this apartment makes an ideal base for a family or close-knit group of friends looking to spend time on the Costa Blanca. Inside, there’s a smattering of rustic features – expect exposed stone walls, timber ceiling beams and a farmhouse-style kitchen. Look forward to spending mornings in the open-plan living space, reclining on the comfy couches with a coffee before whipping up a tasty breakfast to be enjoyed on the balcony. 

Spend afternoons splashing about in the communal pool and tanning on a lounger. When you feel like stretching your legs, wander through your neighbourhood or jump in the car and take the ten-minute drive to Xàbia for its rugged coastline and secluded coves. Stick around to watch the sunset from Mirador 2 on the Port to Cap de Sant Antoni hiking trail – the views are pretty hard to beat.  

Easy Reach

A Charming space to retreat to after a day of sun–soaked adventures, this modern apartment is perfectly nuzzled between Alicante and Valencia, closely situated to the nearby harbour. 

We love the private balcony here. Blanketed by the sun and boasting breathtaking views of the green gardenscape and rolling hills beyond, retreat here first thing each morning with a creamy cup of coffee and some fresh fruit. Suitably fuelled, make your way to the aqua waters of the pool for an invigorating dunk ahead of your daily seafront stroll.

The open–plan kitchen/living room is kitted out with a rattan dining table that’s perfect for all your Spanish feasts, meanwhile the sleek, walk–in shower welcomes you to freshen up in style at your leisure.

With the local supermarket just a short amble away, you’re in a handy spot for grocery top–ups, and thanks to the selection of bars, restaurants and cafes all a leisurely stroll from the apartment, dining out is easy, too. For those that love watersports, the local surfing and sailing schools are well worth checking out and if you’ve got a craving for a soothing beachfront bimble, the sandy shores of El Arenal won’t disappoint.


Coffee on the Balcony

This well-located villa in Javea is a great option for a self-catered holiday in Costa Blanca. The interiors aren't luxurious but you'll have all of the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay and the valley views go some way towards making up for the dated decor. There's a decent-sized fully-equipped kitchen here and enough seating in the living area for all guests to relax in at full occupancy. We love the outdoor space – the well-tended gardens include a private swimming pool and plenty of areas for alfresco dining. La Grava beach is just 1km away from this home – while it can be reached on foot, we suggest hiring a car for ease.

A Positive Spirit

This dreamy duplex in Javea Port boasts a beautiful balcony and expansive rooftop terrace as well as access to a gym, sauna and indoor and outdoor communal swimming pools. Situated within a gorgeous garden and pool complex, and surrounded by tropical plants, palm trees and sandstone-coloured walkways, this sensational Spanish home is sure to seduce. Featuring a well-equipped kitchen and open plan dining cum living room complete with a ravishing red sofa and matching footstool, this two-bedroom home is family friendly and fuss free. 

You’ll love taking your morning coffee out onto the balcony before heading up to the rooftop for some good, old-fashioned R & R in the sun. Alternatively, start the day with a little cardio in the gym, followed by a sweat session in the sauna. In the summer months you’re bound to spend hours luxuriating in the outdoor pool or jacuzzi in the garden while at chillier times why not opt for the heated indoor pool?  

If you fancy getting out and about, you’ll find your home’s privileged location a leisurely ten-minute stroll from Javea Port’s pretty marina and ‘La Grave’ stone strewn beach a blessing. Peruse the local boutiques or sample one of its restaurants or bars, wander up to the historic Old Town or saunter alongside the seaside until you reach sandy Arenal beach. If you’re game for some golf, two golf courses, including the Championship ‘La Sella’, are within a fifteen-minute drive.

After a few hours of downtime, make your way into town where you’ll find a whole host of restaurants, bars and pavement cafes waiting to welcome you in and spoil you with some local cuisine. With a happy tummy full of paella, you can head back home, climb under your crisp white sheets and fall into a blissful slumber.
