Located on the cusp of the Eixample neighbourhood, this apartment puts you in an excellent position to explore the city in style. It's right on the Ronda de la Universitat, a major thoroughfare in the city, but this sanctuary is pretty peaceful – thanks to it being on the inner side of the building, you get to enjoy the central location without the noise. We liked the splashes of mauve in the living room, as well as the use of natural materials. The kitchen is kitted out with basic seasonings and cooking ingredients, and there's a juicer and Nespresso machine to make mornings a delight. And the true standout feature of this home is the bedroom, with its impressive modern twist on a classic four-poster bed and painted brick wall. Step outside, and it's just a four-minute walk to the Plaça de Catalunya, and you can arrive at the labyrinthine Gothic Quarter in less than fifteen minutes.

This elegant apartment is in the centre of Barcelona, 100 metres from Las Ramblas and a short walk from Plaza de Catalunya. Bars, restaurants and shops are all on your doorstep. Apart from a full kitchen and delightful dining room inside, there’s a private terrace for evening cocktails outside. In the living room, you’ve got a dedicated laptop desk for those that need to work remotely. Despite the central location, it’s pretty quiet as the rooms look out over the terrace rather than the busy street.

This apartment is on one of Barcelona's most fashionable boulevards, close to Las Ramblas and the late-night tapas bars of the Gothic Quarter. Passeig de Gràcia with its shops, restaurants and bars, is just a five-minute walk away. There’s a sense of old-world grandeur inside thanks to chandeliers and corniced ceilings, in keeping with the historic building. The apartment is family-sized, but might feel cramped at capacity with three in one bedroom and two on the sofa bed in the living room. Balconies off the living room and one of the bedrooms face Rambla Catalunya – perfect for people-watching.

This quirky apartment in the Eixample district of Barcelona scored plenty of ticks from us. The interior design combines classy hotel-standard touches, such as shiny wooden flooring and the gleamingly white kitchen and bathrooms, with some eclectic flourishes that add a whole lot of character — the list of French authors in cursive script on the living room wall and the inset golden display frames holding potted flowers come to mind. The balcony off the living room — as well as the Juliet in one of the bedrooms — adds some outside space to the address, while the location is close to perfect for getting the most out of the city. As well as being part of the same neighbourhood as some of Gaudi's most celebrated projects, Plaça de Catalunya is two minutes' walk around the corner and Platja de la Barceloneta can be reached in twenty minutes on the bus.

With a direct view of Gaudí's masterpiece Casa Batlló, this luxury home's location is an indisputable superpower. So, take a seat on the balcony with the complimentary bottle of cava and admire the vista here or from one of the beds. But that's not all it has to offer – the lovely hosts have made it their mission to compete with the architectural masterpieces in Eixample. A love for peacocks and flamingos is reflected in the many paintings and statues around this home, while the contrast between turquoise and pink is a dominant theme. Many of the design choices pay homage to traditional Catalan architecture and design, making this home more than just a comfortable place to stay. This residence is spread out over two wings, so it's ideal for a group of friends or extended family looking for some privacy. If you’re not satisfied with just seeing Casa Batlló from your window –  it’s just a two-minute saunter away. This apartment is right on Paseo De Gracia with its museums and designer boutiques galore, while lively Plaça Catalunya is under a ten-minute stroll. Natural Light is a key element in creating a pleasant, warm atmosphere, aided by the semi-transparent curtains. Located in Eixample, the heart of the action in Barcelona, Spectre is surrounded by delicious cafes and restaurants – not to mention the numerous central sights, including the famous Casa Batlló.

You’ll struggle to find an apartment more central than this, sitting just off the Plaça Catalunya and a three-minute mosey to the leafy Las Ramblas. Throw something together in the kitchen or pick up a bite to eat from the café around the corner. Put on your sandals, slap on your sun cream and take to Barcelona’s historic streets. If you’re staying in El Born, one of Barcelona’s trendiest neighbourhoods, then you need an apartment to match – fortunately, this beachy boho abode is just the ticket. We loved how finca-style ceilings juxtapose the modern, sleek black accents and plaster-effect walls. Straw hanging lamps and an abundance of woven textures add a sense of grounding that encourages you to slow down and switch off. And where better to put your feet up than the covered terrace. Spend unhurried mornings sipping milky coffees in the hanging chair before setting the table ready for a breakfast of local produce. 

Afternoons are to be spent sunning yourself on Barceloneta Beach, just a fifteen-minute mosey from your doorstep. Enjoy picnics in the glorious Ciutadella Park, five minutes away, and gentle strolls through the medieval streets that surround your building. At the end of the day, head into the Gothic Quarter for glasses of sangria in old-world tapas bars.

Inspired by Nature

Right in the heart of the trendy Eixample area, this home is simply drop-dead gorgeous. Styled to perfection by local interior designers, there's an Indonesian-Catalan fusion going on here – and we love it. Ideal for longer stays, there's a fully kitted-out kitchen, two stylish bedrooms and bathrooms, and plenty of space to relax in. A traditional balcony runs the length of the living space and both bedrooms boast Juliet balconies so there's no shortage of natural light and fresh air if you want it.

But by far our favourite thing about this home is its access to the building's shared rooftop terrace – which just happens to include a pool. Grab a sun lounger and read your book, or just take a quick dip to keep cool. Surrounded by excellent bars and restaurants, there's plenty to keep you occupied within easy walking distance, and the local architecture is a treat for the design-obsessed.

Immerse yourself in Old World Barcelona with this art-filled apartment situated just a few minutes walk from Plaça Catalunya. This newly renovated home greets you with a brilliant fusion of colours, patterns, and a creative mix of authentic furnishings that hearken to the stylish age of yesteryear. Walls are adorned with a varied collection of turn-of-the-century artwork in gilded frames, while the original floors are covered in antique mosaic tiling. Even the bathroom tiling is reminiscent of Gaudi's Modernism.

In addition to its beautiful flair, it’s remarkably easy to feel comfy here. That is particularly true due to brand-new air conditioning system which keeps the entire apartment cool and comfortable, luxury mattresses and bedding, and the wide sunroom complete with a row of French doors that open out to Juliet balconies that let in the sunshine and fresh air.

Downstairs in this stylish and surprisingly quiet neighbourhood, you’ll find cafés, restaurants and art galleries as well as two grocery stores to stock up on provisions. Not only that, but it's in an excellent location for sightseeing. The charming Gothic Quarter is ten minutes away on foot, as are the green spaces and monuments of Parc de la Ciutadella. Barceloneta Beach is only half an hour's walk away, too.

Immerse yourself in Barcelona's rich cultural history as you visit the city's famed Casa Batlló. Proudly sat just a one-minute stroll from your new home from home, this must-see structure was designed by Antoni Gaudí in 1904 and has since become one of the city's most iconic landmarks.

Just a further four-minutes away, you can find yet another of Gaudi's masterpieces - La Pedrera. Here you can take some snap shots and soak up Barcelona's spectacular sights before heading to the city's most famous shopping mall, El Corte Inglés, for a much-needed spot of retail therapy.

You're a short stroll from Barcelona Cathedral, Plaza Catalunya and the Parc de la Ciutadella with plenty of excellent shopping and dining options right on your doorstep. Inside, traditional Catalan touches combine with a contemporary design to add real warmth to the pad – that said, the bedrooms do vary in size and there's limited storage space.

Take a short stroll from this home and you’ll find yourself in Plaza Cataluña or wandering the streets of the Gothic Quarter. Wherever you find yourself in this central spot, there’s something impressive to admire. And when you’re looking for a simple place to pause and soak it all in, this apartment makes a great option. Designed with comfort in mind, the rooms are perfectly sized for a small group to stretch out and unwind. There’s also a sofa bed – ideal for two extra guests. 

The Brighter Place

An outdoor terrace is always a nice addition to a home regardless of the location, but in a sunny city like Barcelona, it's even more welcome. This apartment's large alfresco space complete with a shady pergola and a couple of loungers is sure to be appreciated during the height of summer.

We're happy to report that this address is far from a one-trick pony, however. There's a wealth of space inside and bountiful amounts of natural light from the large windows, which is allowed to flow through the interior thanks to the clever use of internal glass panels. Although the design is largely pared-back, there are a few characterful touches that caught our eye, including the patterned tiled flooring in the kitchen and the hanging egg chair in one of the bedrooms.

What's perhaps most impressive is that this large home isn't on the outskirts of the city, but a mere three minutes' walk from Plaça de Catalunya and the start of La Rambla. With Eixample just to the north here as well, you're never going to be short of galleries, restaurants or historic attractions within strolling distance of the front door.

This wonderful home is located between the districts of the Gothic Quarter and Raval. It's right on the iconic Las Ramblas with its street performers, cafes, restaurants, markets and shops, and it's close to some more of Barcelona's most famous streets. Pedestrianised Calle Ferrán, which leads to the Barcelona City Hall and Plaça Reial, one of the city's most beautiful squares, are both nearby.

Back at this recently renovated apartment, we loved the characterful living space with its exposed brick walls, which are more than 200 years old and its high ceilings with wooden beams. The cute balcony is perfect for enjoying a glass of Cava while watching the comings and goings on Las Ramblas. This place is ideal for atwo couples or business professionals.


Take a Rambla Downtown	

Incorporating soft tones, natural textures and warm wood accents, this beach-inspired apartment ideally located in trendy El Born connects guests with the very best of Barcelona’s cultural charms. Spend unhurried mornings reclining in the breezy living space, idly sipping a café con leche in the hanging chair or tucking into flaky pastries at the dining table. Should you have some business to attend to, there’s a dedicated office space to make remote working a breeze. Take a wander through your neighbourhood’s medieval streets, stopping to soak up the sun in Ciutadella Park or to pore over masterpieces in the renowned Picasso Museum, a mere five-minute stroll from your doorstep. When exploring becomes thirsty walk, nip into a nearby, old-school taberna – we recommend a glass of refreshing tinto de verano with a side of pintxo if you’re feeling peckish.

You can’t get much more central than this. Located moments from Plaça de Catalunya, this pad is the perfect spot for a large group. With two living rooms and two kitchens, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to enjoy privacy as well as social moments. The singles and loft-style bed will be handy for children sharing, and the home office is ideal for guests needing to work during their stay. When it comes to mealtimes, the kitchens are well-equipped, though there are endless vibrant tapas bars and restaurants on your doorstep.

Catalunya Chic

Enviably located in the heart of Barcelona, footsteps from the Plaça de Catalunya and a bus ride from Barceloneta Beach, this apartment is an excellent choice for all travelling types. If you wish to stay as a group of ten, it’s worth noting there’s not enough comfortable seating, and it’s a bit of a squeeze around the dining table for that many people. The small balcony is a nice spot to enjoy a sundowner, and the kitchen is well-appointed for self-catering.

As soon as we stepped into the entrance hall of this building, with its marble stairs and ornate gold ceiling, we knew this one was going to be special. Everything about this apartment is seriously cool, from the muted colour palette to the statement furnishings and exposed brick walls. We loved the thoughtful touches, like the minibar filled with wine, luxury toiletries and a TV that's ready with a choice of streaming services. The reading spot beside the bay window is a particularly lovely place to enjoy some quiet time with a good book or simply admire the city scenes below. The iconic Plaça Catalunya is just a few steps away from your front door, and there are a range of upmarket boutiques close by too – in case you fancy treating yourself or just doing some window shopping. You're also in an excellent position to visit both the modernist architecture of Eixample and the winding streets of the Gothic Quarter – if you like exploring cities on foot, this home is a great choice.

This flat's earthy tones and use of natural materials gives the space a warm and cosy vibe – and we adore every inch. Design-wise, the style here is rustic and a little bit bohemian, with rattan furniture, crochet artwork and swoon-worthy exposed brick walls. Everything you'll need is taken care of by your lovely hosts – the glossy kitchen has basic ingredients and cooking gear, the flatscreen comes equipped with Netflix and Apple TV services and the home manual is the most thorough one we've ever seen. And despite the shared lobby entrance being off a busy road, the apartment is sat at the back of the building and is relatively quiet, making it an excellent spot to relax, unwind and sprawl out after a busy day exploring. Speaking of, you'll find this flat in lively Eixample, a hub of cultural attractions, Gaudi architecture and high-end boutiques. The Cathedral of Barcelona is only a thirteen-minute walk, while Mercado de La Boqueria is ten minutes on foot – head there for fresh produce and local ingredients when you feel like cooking. Whether you want to grab brunch or stroll through a museum, people-watch in a square or dance the night away at a nightclub, this area is rife with adventure.

If you’ve ever fancied living the life of a local in Barcelona, here’s a nice option for a base. Set in bustling Eixample, you are only paces away from a Sangria-fuelled feast in one of the many excellent bars and restaurants nearby. If you’re planning on hanging around for a while and need to stock up on essentials, there are lots of handy shops close by too. 
Now back to the home – all of those cool neutrals and clean lines mean the vibe here is chic and serene. Terracotta tiles and house plants add that all-important homely and cosy feel. So, yes, it might feel like living on the set of an Elle Decoration shoot, but with a big hug thrown in for good measure. Which sounds pretty perfect to us. Ronda Universitat is close to Plaça Catalunya and the Modernist sights of Eixample. The central location of this convenient address is a great asset and if this is your first visit to Barcelona – it doesn't get much better than this. Enjoy being within walking distance of all the best shops, restaurants, and cultural sights including Casa Batllo and Gaudi's other spectacular works of art (a ten-minute walk away). With so much to see and do nearby, catching some respite from the city is easy here – as a soothing colour palette with calming wood tones and soft furnishings create a space boasting comfort and practicality. Sink into the plush "L" shaped sofa with a cup of tea, before running a bath and unwinding for a quiet night at home. For evenings when you're feeling most energised, lap up the ease of going on nights out too – it would be rude not to make the most of being able to walk out here after all. And of course, if you do plan on venturing further afield in the city, you'll have bus stops and metro stations within less than five minutes reach too.

This rustic and cosy Spanish apartment, within walking distance of the stretching sands of Barceloneta Beach, is a sun lover's dream. The drop-your-bags-and-go coastal location is the main draw here, but we also love the suntrap rooftop terrace, where alfresco meals and sunset drinks will go down a treat. A laptop-friendly desk is a plus for anyone needing to jump on the occasional Zoom call, and though none of the rooms are overly large, everything is spacious enough and comfortable for four. Besides, surrounded by cafes, museums and landmarks, you probably won't be spending much time inside anyway.

Located in the oldest district of Barcelona, the Gothic Quarter, this apartment is part of an eighteenth-century palace. This amazing area of the city has narrow streets that will transport you back to the medieval times while the neighbourhood itself is alive with street artists, musicians, small antique shops, artisans, designers, cosy restaurants, tapas bars and cafes, so there is something to meet everyone’s needs. Why not start your mornings here with a breakfast of churros as a soft breeze floats in from the home’s Juliet balcony, which overlooks the narrow, gothic streets below, before heading out for a day of sightseeing?

This home is ideally situated to see much of what Barcelona has to offer. In the Gothic Quarter, the Cathedral is just six minutes away on foot, while the Plaça del Pi, with its beautiful church that often hosts concerts, is just a nine-minute walk away.

Further afield, why not enjoy a leisurely stroll as you admire the fountains of Cuitadella Park – a short twelve-minute walk from your door, or take a twenty-two-minute walk to Casa Battló to see the incredible architecture and design work of Gaudí. Experience a wine tasting – which can be reached within seven minutes on foot – or book fun tours and activities including city sightseeing on a hop-on-hop-off bus tour. 

Then, in the evening, when you are exhausted from exploring the city, head home and enjoy a tapas meal using local produce from the market – Mercado de La Boqueria is just a twelve-minute walk away. Or treat yourself to a meal out in one of the nearby restaurants – which can be reached in as little as two minutes on foot.

Instead of palm trees and sandy shores, however, you'll get to take in views of the equally charming cobbled square and beautiful Spanish architecture that looks over the street below. The apartment's open-plan layout invites guests to relax in style while catching respite from the buzz of the city. Try your hand at preparing some local tapas or even a homemade paella to serve up at the dining area, or better still – head out to try out the local cuisine at the bars and restaurants within walking distance. Positioned just a fifteen-minute leisurely stroll away from Barceloneta beach, you'll be within easy reach of the ocean breeze after all.
