This home caught our eye for its sea views. Located just 150 metres from the water, you can enjoy the vistas from both inside and outside. You’re in a quiet spot here, and guests are asked to keep noise to a minimum. While it won’t suit those waiting to be at the centre of the action, we think it’s a great choice for a family or group seeking a peaceful getaway. When it comes to exploring, you’ll find a choice of rocky and sandy beaches within a few kilometres, and Formentera’s main town, Sant Francesc Xavier, is an eight-minute drive away.

It’s all blue skies, beaches and bougainvillaea on this little beauty of an island, and this sprawling home is the perfect place to experience it. Built in the 19th century, the house has been renovated and updated considerably since then and is now a chic holiday paradise. 

We love that it’s built around a Roman-style courtyard, so the whole house is kept cool. There are so many chill-out areas you may still be finding new places to relax on the day you leave. 

All the bedrooms come with a terrace, and the garden has plenty of shade thanks to mature olive trees and multiple covered terraces. And then there’s the pool – surrounded by sun loungers and elegantly lit come nightfall, its turquoise waters will be calling whatever the time of day.

Adjacent to the pool, you’ll find a sundeck that we think could easily double as a yoga terrace should the mood to asana strike you, and there are two outdoor dining areas to pick from come dinner time. 

Inside, the large, bright rooms are minimally decorated with interesting natural textiles and the occasional splash of colour. There’s a mezzanine in the living room – only accessible via a ladder – for when you need a quiet moment and a kitchen that’s been designed with family feasts and group gatherings in mind.

This cosy little house is perfect for a romantic getaway in Ibiza. It’s 50 metres from the main house, where the owners live, but it’s still nice and private. You’ll have a terrace where you can soak up the sun and admire the sweeping views of the surrounding countryside, mountains, and distant sea. There’s also a private pool and an alfresco dining spot with a barbecue. The south facade of the house is glass, making for a bright, attractive, view-filled home-from-home.

Smack bang in the heart of delightful Dénia, this no-fuss apartment is perfect for couples or solo travellers looking for some rest and relaxation on the Costa Blanca. But it was the view that was our favourite part. If you’re feeling curious, take the twenty-minute drive to Parc Natural del Montgó for stunning hiking routes or catch the ferry from the port to the dazzling Balearic Islands.

Bedrooms each deliver a sense of serenity, courtesy of pastel colour schemes and reclaimed wooden furniture.  But you won't want to hang out alone for too long – the infinity pool is surrounded by daybeds, while the built-in stone barbecue has carved-stone seats for everyone to keep an eye on the action. To amp up the energy, there are pétanque courts, table tennis and foosball tables and a basketball hoop. From this Ibizan villa, you'll get to stay in a setting that's both majestic and minimalist, all at once. Oozing with charm – it's a home that perfectly complements its surrounding coast dotted with small fishermen’s coves and whitewashed novel-like houses. 

Set back just a five-minute drive from the beach, this is the natural Ibiza experience that hones in on the island's original allure. Here, the transition from inside to outside living is effortless, as the home flows freely from the earth-toned interiors to the alfresco dining terrace and down to the pool deck. 

Inside is a haven of white, split by moments of colour through its open-plan living areas. Meanwhile, added extras like the option to have a private chef cook for you make staying here feel even more exclusive. 

Now back to the surroundings. It doesn’t get much more secluded than the protected area of Es Cubells. The ultra-exclusive location, where cliff walks and fish shacks are plentiful, will resonate. Majestic and minimalist, just like this home.

This is a villa that will have even the most hard-to-please guests grinning. A lot of that is down to its fabulous views of the glistening Mediterranean and Isla del Portitxol, but special praise also goes to the peaceful swimming pool surrounded by treetops and the covered terrace complete with an alfresco dining table. Although some of the bathrooms are a little dated, we've only got kind words for the three-level layout – we particularly love the main bedroom with a sea-facing balcony. To top it all off, you don't have far to venture for beautiful gold-sand beaches, either.

This villa has everything you need for a relaxing break in the sun. The pool, trampoline, and table tennis will delight younger guests, while grown-ups will enjoy the alfresco bar and the pool’s Jacuzzi feature. With vast gardens and multiple terraces – including a roof terrace – you’ll have plenty of space to socialise together, but there are also cosy corners for quieter moments. Location-wise, you’ll be just a short drive from Ibiza Town. The pretty village of Sant Francesc de s’Estany, known for its salt pans and views, is also close by – it’s a great choice for a day trip.

Nestled in one of Ibiza's quieter pockets, this whitewashed villa is a masterclass in boho chic. If you do fancy exploring, though, it’s only a quick drive down to the glorious beaches.

Well-positioned, a stay here offers you that precious downtime with the option of big exciting trips into town.

Drive just seven minutes to discover such spots as Playa D’en Bossa and Las Salinas. Ibiza Town and its chilled dining and shopping scene is ten minutes away, as are clubbing options if you're heading ‘out out’. Back home (and we're thinking you'll want to maximise your time at this place) enjoy lazing around the pool on the Balinese sunbed, cold drink in hand. Or head to the upper floor terrace and take in the views from the swing chair or sofa. Inside, you’ll want for nothing. The hi-spec kitchen is well-equipped for when you’re not making use of the poolside barbecue. Bedrooms are all cool white linen with added boho chic. Help yourself to a novel from the lounge bookshelf and sink into the huge corner sofa when you need a break from the sun.
