Staying in this part of town has the obvious advantage of being close to the beach – in the absence of beachside hotels in Barcelona, homes like Indigo Star are the closest you get to waking up and stepping right into the sand. Sightseeing in Eixample will take a longer commute, but if you're in town to relax in a simple (and yet perfectly cosy) home, then this is a good way to go.

Floating Cinder is only available for longer stays, and as such we think it has to be judged slightly differently to places that are destined for short trips. For example, we wouldn’t recommend using the sofa bed (though of course, it’s your choice), but equally, the extra space and the decent kitchen weigh heavier in our verdict.
