We love the open-plan nature of the living area with its distinct areas that flow seamlessly from one to the other. Spend your mornings relaxing in the hammock with a good book and your morning coffee, and snuggle up on the sofa while a record plays each evening before sitting down to a celebratory tapas meal in the dining room. 

You’re all set too should you need to catch up on work with a dedicated desk space at the ready, while sleep comes easily in the chic boho-inspired bedrooms, leaving you feeling rested and raring to go for a busy day of work or play. 

When it comes to exploring outside your cool pad, you’ll find Gràcia’s 19th-century boulevards and pedestrian lanes filled with indie boutiques, galleries, arthouse cinemas and trendy Catalan bistros around Plaça de la Vila de Gràcia. You’re also within walking distance of the eye-catching Casa Mila, as well as Casa Vicens.

It’s a short stroll from Passeig de Gràcia – one of Barcelona’s main boulevards lined with luxury shops, cafes and the striking architecture of Gaudi. Yet, it’s on a quiet street for such a central location. Enjoy the peace in the open living room, or at the dining table big enough for six. This home is built with a love for the finer things, so expect designer furniture, rainfall showers, and a highly curated selection of artworks. Our favourite personal touch is the well-stocked bookshelf with titles in all genres, while the shared swimming pool gives you fantastic views across Barcelona's rooftops. Getting around couldn't be simpler from this location in Eixample, which is home to Gaudí's Casa Milà and Sagrada Familía along with countless restaurants, boutiques and bars. 

The Epicurean Spirit

With floor-to-ceiling windows that offer views of Barcelona's most rebellious architecture, the best thing this home offers is sightseeing from the comfort of your sofa. Both the furniture and art are a pleasant unobtrusive mix of the old and new, showing that the host knows how to fill a space with meaningful pieces without making it look cluttered. But we have to admit – although it's well-designed, the layout of this home is a bit peculiar, with the kitchen fashioned inside a corridor and a tempered glass bathroom separating the second and third bedroom. 

The Rosewood Azulejo

From its terracotta ceilings to its wood floors, huge windows and mid-century modern furniture, this luxuriously stylish penthouse apartment would give any five-star hotel a run for its money. Located between Barcelona’s Eixample and Vila de Gràcia neighbourhoods, it has everything you could hope for in a chic city pad. Climb the few steps in the bright living room to step out onto your very own rooftop terrace, decked out in sun loungers to catch those Spanish rays and a table inviting alfresco breakfasts or celebratory sundowners. This large outdoor haven gives way to panoramic views over the city, as well as the building’s magnificent domed tower. While you could spend all day here basking in the privacy of your rooftop space, we suggest you explore the communal rooftop area, too, where a long glistening pool awaits, framed by a parade of deck chairs. Elsewhere in the building, there’s a shared gym, perfect for starting mornings off with a workout before cooling off in the pool or setting out for a day of sightseeing. Speaking of exploring, La Sagrada Familia is a twenty-minute walk away, while Passeig de Gràcia and Gaudí’s remarkable Casa Milà are just an eight-minute stroll from your door. With a pillow catalogue on arrival and your host providing a 24/7 concierge that can arrange at-home massages, private chefs, tickets to the city’s events and more, there’s no end to the blissful relaxation in store. 


The Epicurean Sun

Something of a slow-burner, Oliana grows on you the longer you stay. There’s enough to remind you that you’re in Barcelona – the brick ceiling, in particular, keeps you anchored in the city, as does the view of Tibidado. It’s not especially lavish, but there’s something genuine about it, and that also extends to the surrounding area. There are still tourists about (this is Barcelona, after all), but not in the droves you might get in other neighbourhoods.


Oliana

Looking for a central base in the heart of Barcelona? This spot puts you in the Eixample district, within walking distance of some of the city's best shops, bars and eateries. Yet, with a rooftop terrace like this, we can see why you might prefer to serve up your own drinks and culinary treats in the sunshine. The interiors are just as inviting, as the home's stylish designs are centred around comfort and functionality. If you need to balance leisure with work here, there's also a dedicated desk space in one of the bedrooms to set up a laptop. 





The Melting Stone

Inspired by lush jungles and Catalan tradition, this bright flat in Barcelona’s Gràcia neighbourhood is a tonic to come home to after a busy day exploring the city’s sights. Your eyes will immediately be drawn to the main room’s domed brick ceiling and the pretty tiles that give it plenty of Spanish flair. We love the bright yellow sofa here and the floating shelves decked out in houseplants and ambient ornaments. Open up the living room’s French doors for coffee on the balcony, where two Acapulco chairs invite you to gaze out onto the city in style. With both bedrooms boasting their own private terraces though, you’re spoilt for choice when it comes to outdoor lounging. When you’re ready to explore, Gaudí s Casa Milà is just a fifteen-minute walk away, while in Gràcia itself, you’ll find a cornucopia of Catalan cafes, bohemian boutiques and welcoming wine bars. After a day of adventure, come back home for drinks on the balcony, before sitting down to an intimate meal around the dining table while your favourite tunes play on the Bluetooth speakers. 


Apothecary's Retreat

When home is only a three-minute walk from Casa Milà, you can be quite sure that you’re living in the heart of Barcelona’s buzzing Eixample district. But how about if you can see directly across to its ornate rooftops from your own private terrace? The exclusive location of this apartment is only made better by its magnificent design and decor. Upon arrival at the majestic wooden door, you can tell that this historical building is full of charm. With a vintage wooden lift taking you up to the attic – better known as a penthouse in the 21st century – we love its old-fashioned character. Inside, the wooden theme continues with a striking piece of art in the lounge, but this time surrounded by modern interiors. The furnishings are minimalist, with neutral tones and white walls bringing a fresh vibe. However, this is all to make way for the apartment’s most exciting features – two terracotta terraces for alfresco drinking, dining, and admiring jaw-dropping views. If you do manage to make it back down to street level, Diagonal metro is a two-minute walk. But when you can see Gaudí’s masterpieces from home, you might want to stay put.

The Mahogany Azulejo

Orange Moon has been renovated recently with a bright, modern look in mind, with the greenery, the terrace and the bohemian-inspired furniture keeping it warm, inviting and cosy. You can look out over the Sagrada Familia and the brilliant Mediterranean sea while sipping your morning coffee. Though you’re only a few steps from the Passeo de Gracia, Avenida Diagonal, and Rambla de Catalunya, the private balcony and views to the sea make it seem a world away from the busy city. With a metro stop one block away, you’re also very well-placed to explore all parts of Barcelona and its surroundings.

Orange Moon

In the elegant Vila de Gràcia barrio, you’re in for a treat if you’re looking for a more realistic experience of Barcelona living. Just over 3 km away from the bustling tourists in the Gothic Quarter, this region is full of restaurants, theatres, cinemas, independent boutiques, and of course some Gaudí charm. This apartment is just a four-minute walk from Casa Vicens, a striking example of one of the architect’s earlier works. But unlike this building and its surroundings, this home feels more like a Japanese mountain retreat. Step inside to wood-panelled walls and fabrics, woven feature pieces, and a mural of swallows and bamboo bringing a zen-like state to the apartment. While there’s still a taste of traditional Catalan elements, such as patterned tiles on the floor, and a classic wrought-iron balconette, the decor simply oozes Japan. In the serene bedroom, keep your head down at the workspace, then step into the lounge when the clock hits 5 pm to turn up the record player and sip chilled cava. For a weekend escape from this peaceful palace, it’s just an eighteen-minute walk to the colourful, awe-inspiring mosaics of Park Güell – quite the contrast.

There are several eateries close by, while Passeig de Gràcia, one of the city’s most important shopping and business areas is nearby. You’ll also find key attractions such as Casa Milà and Plaça Catalunya within walking distance of this home. Back at this elegant apartment, multiple windows illuminate the living space. There's a handy office area too, if you're here for work. And with three bathrooms for four guests – there’s unlikely to be a queue for the bathroom.
