Tranquility is the watchword for this newly built apartment, which boasts an idyllic location right next to the stunningly ornate María Cristina Bridge and Urumea River. With this stellar location comes calming views of the city below, best enjoyed from the sofa in your airy, light-filled living space. Exploring from here is easy – the silky golden sands of La Concha are just a ten-minute walk away, along with the quaint streets of San Sebastian’s charming Old Town. Come dinner time, head out to the local tapas bars to sample some quintessential pintxos or whip up your own Basque feast in the well-equipped kitchen, which features state-of-the-art appliances (including a coffee maker to make mornings that much easier). After a busy day discovering the best of San Sebastian, settle in for a movie or to catch up on your favourite shows on the Smart TV.

Urumea Vista

The great thing about a trip to San Sebastian is that it pleases almost every visitor: sun-worshippers can spend endless days at the beach; culture vultures will want to learn everything about this historic city;  foodies will find themselves in culinary heaven. That’s where this home comes into play. Not only does it have sleek interiors for design-forward guests, but it’s also ideally located to take full advantage of this alluring city. A wall of glass allows guests to gaze out over the beach and the bay of La Concha. When hunger strikes, step outside and explore the Old Town’s pintxos bars and restaurants. Our favourite, Bar Sport, is less than a five-minute walk from home.

Silver Sand

What we love about this home – besides its outstanding location – is that its contemporary interiors are juxtaposed by the views of the surrounding Art Nouveau buildings. That means you can live with creature comforts while taking in the city’s rich history as a luxurious resort town. Welcoming six guests, there’s plenty of comfortable seating for everyone, especially on the sumptuous sofa and chaise longue in the living room. Step out onto the balcony to sip your morning coffee and take in the city’s awakening before heading out for a day of fun. You’ll be staying in Gras, a popular neighbourhood amongst young locals, artists and musicians. This is where you’ll find the city’s surfing beach and many of its cultural institutions. For reference, you’re about a ten-minute walk from Zurriola Beach and Kursaal, a cutting-edge theatre and auditorium. For pintxos, we recommend heading over the river to the bars and restaurants of the Old Town.

Foie

San Sebastián is the epitome of a Spanish seaside town; here, neighbourhood restaurants serve up the freshest fish you’ve ever tasted, the golden sands of the beaches are practically begging for you to spread out a blanket and spend the day lounging around with your nose in a book, and the warm waters of the Bay of Biscay glitter in the midday sun. And in the centre of this paradise, you’ll find this home; an achingly stylish two-bedroom apartment minutes' walk from the shores and the historic Old Town. Though the home’s chic, modern decor impresses, it’s the view we really fell for – the whole city is laid out in front of you, with the church of San Ignacio rising in the foreground to create a postcard-perfect vista. As dusk falls over this beautiful corner of the world, soak up the stars on the balcony with a glass of wine, and plan tomorrow. 

Moon Bathing

You couldn’t get closer to San Sebastián’s crescent-shaped Playa de la Concha - it’s situated on an idyllic street just two minutes from the beach. Step out onto your Juliette balcony for luscious sea views or walk a few steps and you’ll be paddling the clear waters of the bay. 
 
As you walk into the open-plan space, you’ll immediately be struck by the dazzling amount of natural light pouring in through the french doors. Curated with a modern eye for design, the living area sets a striking impression with its sleek marbled kitchen and contemporary furnishings. Both bedrooms are comfortable and stylish – waking up to balcony views is a dreamy way to start the day. Gather around the mid-century-style breakfast table for a quick coffee before heading out to explore the city’s highlights.

Walk along the curving coastline, jutting off to explore the atmospheric cobblestone streets lined with Basque pintxos bars. We recommend a complete culinary tour – sample as many authentic savoury bites as you can – TX Klub for their wild mushroom rice studded with yuca, Xarma Cook & Culture for their version of salted cod stacked on a skewer, and Rita for creamy oysters and ox chorizo. The best part? This tour is a perfect loop around your neighbourhood and its total walking time is only one hour.

Perfectly satiated and with a cold cerveza in hand, make yourself comfortable on the plump sofa under the glow of the globe floor lamp - this is the best way to relax after a day of sightseeing. When you’re ready to wind down, sink into the sheets of the serene-hued bedroom for a restful night’s sleep – it’ll leave you feeling refreshed and ready for another day of city exploring. 

By the Bahía

Whether you’re a foodie couple keen to taste the delights of San Sebastian or a group of sun worshippers planning to explore the beaches, you'll feel right at home here. The interiors combine traditional touches like exposed brick and wooden beams with modern additions such as trendy patterned wallpaper and geometric pendant lamps. You’re right next to Zurriola Beach and a short walk will take you to La Concha Beach, known for its crescent-shaped bay. The old town is on your doorstep, where you can hop between pintxos bars and savour snacks and drinks as the locals do. Back at home, have a nightcap on the terrace or relax on the sofa before sinking into a restful sleep.

A Twist of Lime

Located just above San Sebastian’s famous Zurriola Beach, guests staying at this home will be able to indulge in ocean views and listen to the soothing sounds of the waves from morning until night. With a bright but gentle colour scheme, this home matches its sandy surroundings and invites guests to relax among the plush furnishings and comfortable beds. Whether you were hoping for a city break or a beach getaway, you won’t have to make a choice here. Spend your days lounging at the beach, cooling off in the water and learning how to surf. When night falls, just make the short walk to the Old Town – under a ten-minute walk – to sample the city’s best pintxos bars and restaurants. One of our personal favourites is Bar Néstor, which has a cult following for its tortillas and steak.

Vardo Views

This brightly lit apartment is situated in the heart of San Sebastian and close by to the gorgeous La Concha beach. Wake up to the sunlight pouring in through the windows as you step onto the balcony to feel the morning breeze and the sound of the ocean. Head into the living room to snuggle up on the sofa with a book or watch a movie on the TV as you plan the day ahead. You've got the best of both worlds here, with a sparkling beach and a bustling city right on your doorstep, making this property the perfect rest point as you replenish your energy for plenty of adventure.

Wander the streets of San Sebastian to find delicious eateries and shops to browse as you explore the seaside city. As you smell the aroma of freshly brewed coffee beans, you head into a nearby cafe for a slice of cake and a toasty cup of coffee – bliss. Global cuisine awaits you at the fantastic selection of restaurants that are all within walking distance throughout the city, giving you the opportunity to soak up the charming vibes along the way.

Lemon Beach

A stone's throw from the charming Plaza de Gipuzkoa, one of the most iconic spots in the city, this stylish apartment offers modern 21st-century living within a classic building. 

Your host employed a team of designers to oversee its recent renovation. Inspired by mid-century design principles, they succeeded in creating a space that manages to be simultaneously contemporary and timeless. 

Organic shapes, geometric patterns and bright pops of colour add visual flair to the period bones of the building, with original features such as elegant arched windows that overhang the street below adding some charming eccentricity.

Step outside and you'll find yourself right in the thick of the action, just 100m from San Sebastian's bustling Old Town and the beautiful beachside Paseo de La Concha. It's an ideal location for anyone looking to discover the city's history and make the most of its renowned culinary scene. In fact, it's barely 500m to the nearest Michelin-starred establishment, with plenty of local bars serving sumptuous pintxos closer by.

Canto de Cisne

It’s hard to imagine a more tranquil space than this apartment, with its neutral tones and chic decor. Every single detail has been carefully curated, from the statement seating to the gorgeous light fittings. There’s plenty of space for a group of friends or a larger family to settle in here and make the most of all San Sebastian has to offer. Zurriola beach, known for its surf, is just minutes away - watch the waves from the shore or even get on a board if you’re feeling brave. The old town is also close by, where you can wander the maze-like streets for hours. When you get hungry, be sure to dive into one of the many pintxo bars and sample the snacks this city is famous for. You’re also in the ideal position to explore the wider Basque country, with its coastal trails and serene landscapes. 

Sand Dollar

From its sleek and serene interiors you wouldn't guess this home is actually part of a stunning 19th-century building right in the centre of the action. We love the blend of old and new, where modern comforts aren’t missed, yet you still get a taste of the city’s historic character. Perfectly located near the Old Town, beaches and the promenades, each bedroom boasts charming views of this vibrant central neighbourhood. With a bathroom for each bedroom and two single beds in one of the rooms, this is a great base for a group of friends looking to explore the best of San Sebastián.
