This riverside apartment is in a fantastic central location – it’s just steps away from the Cathedral of the Good Shepherd and a short walk from the Old Town and La Concha beach. The recently refurbished living room is both trendy and inviting, the highlight being the glass-walled cove with armchair that makes an excellent reading spot. Fix up a coffee using the machine in the kitchen and drink it at the smart glass lounge table while you make plans for your day. The master bedroom comes with an en-suite and there’s a separate guest bathroom. Both have showers, so there’ll be no queues in the morning.

El Cuervo

Simplicity is key in this apartment, with its minimalist decor and air of tranquillity. Throw open the French doors and step out onto the terrace to enjoy a bird’s eye view across the city. Linger over a drink as the sun goes down, enjoy breakfast alfresco or stretch out and top up your tan. When you’re ready to explore, the old town is just minutes away, where you can meander through the charming streets at your own pace. San Sebastian is a hub of gastronomy – whether you pick something up from one of the local food markets or treat yourself at a fine dining establishment, you’ll never go hungry here. La Concha Beach is nearby, where you can listen to the waves and stroll along the sand. For the more adventurous, try Zurriola Beach – take a lesson in riding the waves, or grab an ice cream and watch. 

Basque Beauty

There’s an air of sophistication matched with playful touches throughout the home – the living room is a place for conversation, with a sleek kitchen and reading nook filled with sunlight. You’ll find this apartment located in the heart of San Sebastian, surrounded by shops, bars, and restaurants, and only a short walk from La Concha Beach. While the understated interiors aren't the most inspiring, the desirable location more than makes up for it. The bedrooms are comfortable (though the second of the two lacks natural light) and the kitchen is well-equipped if you fancy eating in. Having a car isn’t essential here, but if you plan on bringing a vehicle, your host can help you find somewhere to park.

The Multilingual

City apartments don’t get much sleeker than this sophisticated Spanish homestay, which you’ll find tucked away down a bustling street in the heart of vibrant San Sebastián. Just a stone’s throw from Buen Pastor Cathedral, this is the perfect base for exploring the city. Walk into the Old Town in just thirty minutes or wander over the Santa Catalina Bridge to soak up panoramic views of San Sebastián from the rooftop terrace of Tabakalera, the city’s iconic contemporary culture centre.

When you’ve had your fill of sightseeing, come home to your elegant apartment where we’d highly recommend unwinding with a Basque cider or refuelling with a fresh cup of coffee in the light-drenched living room. We love the muted colours here, particularly the sleek, white dining table, which is the perfect place to socialise with friends and family over a bottle of sparkling Txakoli. When evening falls, try your hand at recreating some of your favourite Spanish dishes in the stylish kitchen or head back into town and treat yourself to a meal at one of the city’s Michelin-starred restaurants. Wherever the night takes you, you won’t be far from home, so let loose and enjoy yourself knowing your comfy bed is just a short cab ride away.

Fans of eclectic design will love this unusual apartment in a refurbished building in San Sebastian. The marble-style floating kitchen table is the perfect spot to plan your day over a morning java from the coffee machine, a cushion-festooned emerald sofa invites you to sink into it and watch a film on the smart TV, and the light fittings appear to quite literally jump out of the patterns on the walls behind them. If you are in need of some solitude, the quirky bedrooms are also a wonderful place to relax. And when you step outside, you’ll find the Cathedral of the Good Shepherd, Urumea river and La Concha Beach are all just a short walk away.

Drop a pin into the heart of San Sebastián and you’ll find this chic apartment. We love the effortless mix of rustic charm and sophistication you’ll find here, with the stone feature wall and wooden beams jumping straight to the top of our favourites list. Adding further to this home's appeal, light floods in through the French doors – take a peek through the glass and you’ll find elegant architecture waiting outside your window, encouraging you to get out into the city to explore. Throw open the doors and step onto the small balcony, and you’ll feel completely content as the Spanish sun shines down on you.

The kitchen is compact but well-equipped, perfect for rustling up some light bites when you’re feeling peckish. But, while staying in a city known for its culinary delights, you must explore the local area and try out some of the wonderful food on offer. With pintxos bars aplenty in the city, enjoy the creativity of the fabulous Basque chefs, washed down with a txakoli or two for the most memorable evening.
