With beautiful craft shops, galleries, and independent ice cream parlours by day, and by night, the town’s pintxo bars and restaurants come alive. For an evening in, watch the lights sparkle over the town and music fill the streets - all from a candlelit dinner between the lofty French windows of the home.

Thanks to its large, open-plan living area, a few friends or family members are sure to have a fabulous place to rest their weary heads after an exciting day on the Basque coast. Situated in the city centre, the flat faces the Bahia de La Concha and is just round the corner from the Old Town. The open-plan living room has stunning views over the bay and the surrounding gardens, and another highlight is the master bedroom, which has French windows with direct access to the terrace. Don't miss visiting either of the city’s two beaches, with La Concha perfect for a coastal stroll and a refreshing swim, while Zurriola invites adventurists and surfers. 

Forty Knots

If you’ve come to San Sebastian for the pintxos, this home is for you. Walk to the Old Town in eight minutes, then hop from one bar to the next, trying the wide range of dishes that make this city so famous. When you’re completely full of local delicacies, you’ll be even more grateful for the short walk back to your serene, Scandi-inspired home. With its open-plan layout, the living area and kitchen are ideal for socialising and planning the next day’s activities. On your doorstep is the city’s pedestrianised shopping zone; the golden sands of La Concha Beach are just a short walk away.

The Connoisseur

Just one block from La Concha Beach, this one-bed apartment is testament to the idea of small being beautiful. In the bedroom, natural light streams in through floor-to-ceiling windows and bounces off the eggshell-white linens and walls. Just steps from the beautiful La Concha beach and offering easy access to the atmospheric streets of the Old Town, this top-floor flat couldn't be better placed to experience everything San Sebastián has to offer. In addition to its enviable location, we're willing to overlook the slightly basic interior design thanks to a full-length balcony that is sure to appeal to sun worshippers and lovers of outdoor dining. Down at street level, the nearby San Martin market is ideal for stocking up on seasonal essentials, with a coffee stop and some light retail therapy thrown in for good measure. 

El Balcón

Simplicity is key in this apartment, with its minimalist decor and air of tranquillity. Throw open the French doors and step out onto the terrace to enjoy a bird’s eye view across the city. Linger over a drink as the sun goes down, enjoy breakfast alfresco or stretch out and top up your tan. When you’re ready to explore, the old town is just minutes away, where you can meander through the charming streets at your own pace. San Sebastian is a hub of gastronomy – whether you pick something up from one of the local food markets or treat yourself at a fine dining establishment, you’ll never go hungry here. La Concha Beach is nearby, where you can listen to the waves and stroll along the sand. For the more adventurous, try Zurriola Beach – take a lesson in riding the waves, or grab an ice cream and watch. 

Basque Beauty

Combine a beach break with exploring one of the jewels of the Basque Country at this chic two-bedroom home, set just a five-minute walk from San Sebastian’s Old Town. Despite the central location, you can expect peace and quiet – this apartment is set within a historic building on a quiet side street. After an afternoon on the golden sands of La Concha or Zurriola, head back to relax in the zen-inducing atmosphere of your light-filled home, with a soothing earthy colour palette and vibrant greenery. For dinner, sample some pintxos in the characterful old town or cook up your own Basque feast in the well-appointed kitchenette. If you fancy a night in, the Smart TV means you can stream your favourite movies and shows.

La Arena Arrasate

This apartment is chic and well-thought-out, with a smart L-shaped couch giving you plenty of space to kick back and relax. The bright white kitchenette is well-equipped for you to make a morning coffee to enjoy on the balcony while a sea breeze ruffles your hair. Serene bedrooms come with piles of cushions and a cosy throw for your best night’s sleep ever. From here, a short stroll through De Cervantes Plaza will bring you to La Concha Beach, a pleasing strip of golden sand from which you can watch little white boats bobbing on the tide. Located on a lively street in the Old Town of San Sebastian, some of the city's best pintxos restaurants and bars are just footsteps away. 

La Piedra Blanca

Large and very well-located, this home offers a great home base for guests looking to experience this undeniably alluring city. Fully equipped and renovated to a high standard, there’s plenty of room for you to socialise in the open-plan living area, relax in the serene bedrooms and prepare delicious meals in the sleek, modern kitchen. That being said, we don’t think you’ll need the kitchen too often given that you’re visiting one of the world’s greatest culinary cities. Located just behind the Beach of La Concha, you can easily access all that makes San Sebastian such a popular destination – enjoy relaxing strolls along the beach, sample the Old Town’s traditional pintxos, admire the impressive Art Nouveau architecture or visit neighbouring Playa de la Zurriola for an afternoon of surfing. Though you’ll be able to catch a peekaboo view of the sea from the balcony, we recommend visiting the Belle Époque La Perla Spa and Restaurant for wonderful views, delicious cocktails and a real sense of this city’s history as a spa town.


Donostia's Glow

Situated just a stone's throw from Plaza de Gipuzkoa, most of the city's main attractions are five minutes away on foot. For a day on the area's golden sands, head to Zurriola and La Concha beaches – watch the surfers here or have a dip in the Cantabrian Sea. As you'd expect, there are plenty of tempting bars and restaurants nearby to sample too.

If you don't feel like eating out, then cook a local speciality, salt cod, in the kitchen and enjoy it at the shiny glass dining table. We love the dark wood floors and muted colour scheme here, which creates a calming influence. This place would suit business professionals, a family or couples looking for a fabulous location in this charming city.


The Little White Cloud 

This home is for groups who are always on the go. Situated in the heart of Donostia–San Sebastián, this simple yet comfortable apartment is the perfect place to crash after a busy day spent exploring. You’re only a ten-minute walk from La Concha Beach and fifteen from Motako Gaztelua Chuch. Inside the home, there’s not much natural light (particularly in the living area) but the kitchen has everything you need for throwing together quick meals and the bedrooms are clutter-free and comfortable. 

Eguzkilore

We can find very little to fault with this apartment just around the corner from Amara railway station. A recent renovation means that the interior design feels vibrant and modern, with pops of colour coming from the house plants, eclectic artwork and the kitchen's bold red surfaces.

The home's high ceilings and shiny wooden floors work well with the ample amount of natural light that comes in through the French doors, while there's even a small balcony in case you want to feel the sunlight on your skin at any point.

We should mention that the central location is nothing short of superb. La Concha beach is all of five minutes' walk away, while the famous Old Town and Mount Urgull are about double that time. The charming Plaza Easo is less than sixty seconds on foot from the front door, too.
