With high ceilings and French windows, this abode has the perfect combination of space and location. Gaze at the sweeping rooftop views and the bustling Plaza below - you'll be right at the heart of this vibrant city. A mere few blocks to golden La Concha Beach, you'll look like a local about town in your sandals. On days you want to do something other than relaxing on the beach, take the 15-minute walk down cobbled streets to the Old Town. With beautiful craft shops, galleries, and independent ice cream parlours by day, and by night, the town’s pintxo bars and restaurants come alive. For an evening in, watch the lights sparkle over the town and music fill the streets - all from a candlelit dinner between the lofty French windows of the home.

Bay Of Biscay

A worn leather sofa, stacks of books and art-adorned walls are the signs of a home that holds many memories, with the chance to make your own at this eclectic bolthole a few blocks from Zurriola Beach. This bohemian dream is more like a treasure trove of vintage finds than a holiday home, and the curious collection of antiques and artworks make you wonder from what corners of the globe the owner has travelled to gather such unique knick-knacks. The standout feature is the shimmering mirrored wall that frames the intimate dining area. The wealth of character inside is further augmented by the terrace, with deckchairs gazing out across the rooftops to the mountains beyond. It’s the perfect nest for a couple, with enough room on the terrace to invite a few friends over for dinner. 

The Collector's Nest

This apartment is chic and well-thought-out, with a smart L-shaped couch giving you plenty of space to kick back and relax. The bright white kitchenette is well-equipped for you to make a morning coffee to enjoy on the balcony while a sea breeze ruffles your hair. Serene bedrooms come with piles of cushions and a cosy throw for your best night’s sleep ever. From here, a short stroll through De Cervantes Plaza will bring you to La Concha Beach, a pleasing strip of golden sand from which you can watch little white boats bobbing on the tide. Located on a lively street in the Old Town of San Sebastian, some of the city's best pintxos restaurants and bars are just footsteps away. 

La Piedra Blanca

Meticulously designed and ideally located within the city, this home is ripe for those who enjoy the finer things in life. With over one hundred metres of square footage, stunning contemporary interiors and plenty of original architectural features, this home is really something. Positioned in the ever-popular neighbourhood of Gros, you’re just a short walk from Zurriola Beach, colloquially known as Zurri. Famous for its impressive waves, it’s a surfer’s paradise and a vibrant and eclectic neighbourhood. A favourite amongst young people and keen adventurists, this area is home to numerous cultural institutions and venues, while still being close to all the city’s major attractions. From the apartment, it’s just a ten-minute walk to the Old Town, where you’ll be blown away by the sheer number of outstanding pintxos bars and restaurants. In San Sebastian, it’s essential to be hungry at all times because the food is unlike anywhere else.

Txangurro

The great thing about a trip to San Sebastian is that it pleases almost every visitor: sun-worshippers can spend endless days at the beach; culture vultures will want to learn everything about this historic city;  foodies will find themselves in culinary heaven. That’s where this home comes into play. Not only does it have sleek interiors for design-forward guests, but it’s also ideally located to take full advantage of this alluring city. A wall of glass allows guests to gaze out over the beach and the bay of La Concha. When hunger strikes, step outside and explore the Old Town’s pintxos bars and restaurants. Our favourite, Bar Sport, is less than a five-minute walk from home.

Silver Sand

This stunning villa in stylish San Sebastian has mesmerising views over La Concha Beach. Spread over two floors, it's the perfect place for a group of friends or family to enjoy time away without getting on top of one another. You'll be spoilt for choice with two terraces to choose from. Use one for a spot of sunbathing throughout the day, and gather on the other in the evening to watch the unbelievable ocean sunsets. Spend the day walking along the inviting promenade of Playa de la Concha and cool off with a dip in the ocean. Then head to the Old Town, only a short walk away, to seek out some authentic Spanish tapas. These beautiful cobblestoned streets are lined with upscale shops and tempting wine bars. When you’ve had enough, retreat to your tranquil home for a restful night’s sleep.  

Aquamarine Breeze

Breezy and bright, this apartment in San Sebastián has everything you need for a carefree getaway. Crisp whites and calming earth tones dominate the design – although rustic beams add a touch of traditional character – creating a minimalist and modern space to chill out and relax. Hunker down at the desk and catch up on work, sip a glass of Rioja around the kitchen island or sprawl out on the sofa and watch a film on the smart TV. Both bedrooms are equally comfortable, and the bathroom is glossy and sleek – we think it's a great spot to call home while you're in town.

Speaking of location, this home is a two-minute walk from Zurriola Beach. Pack a picnic, grab your suncream and enjoy an afternoon swimming in the turquoise waters and lounging on the soft white sand. Elsewhere, tapas bars, local restaurants and clothing boutiques within walking distance give you plenty to discover when you're not basking in the sunshine. Your host can also arrange a variety of experiences to take your trip to the next level, ranging from wine tours to mountain treks. Sounds like an ideal Spanish holiday to us.

This Little Light

San Sebastián is the epitome of a Spanish seaside town; here, neighbourhood restaurants serve up the freshest fish you’ve ever tasted, the golden sands of the beaches are practically begging for you to spread out a blanket and spend the day lounging around with your nose in a book, and the warm waters of the Bay of Biscay glitter in the midday sun. And in the centre of this paradise, you’ll find this home; an achingly stylish two-bedroom apartment minutes' walk from the shores and the historic Old Town. Though the home’s chic, modern decor impresses, it’s the view we really fell for – the whole city is laid out in front of you, with the church of San Ignacio rising in the foreground to create a postcard-perfect vista. As dusk falls over this beautiful corner of the world, soak up the stars on the balcony with a glass of wine, and plan tomorrow. 

Moon Bathing

Fans of eclectic design will love this unusual apartment in a refurbished building in San Sebastian. The marble-style floating kitchen table is the perfect spot to plan your day over a morning java from the coffee machine, a cushion-festooned emerald sofa invites you to sink into it and watch a film on the smart TV, and the light fittings appear to quite literally jump out of the patterns on the walls behind them. If you are in need of some solitude, the quirky bedrooms are also a wonderful place to relax. And when you step outside, you’ll find the Cathedral of the Good Shepherd, Urumea river and La Concha Beach are all just a short walk away.

Bellaflor

In the heart of San Sebastián and just a five-minute walk from La Concha Beach, this apartment is in an ideal location for making the most of both the historic city and the coast. Simple modern decor is enlivened by patterned feature walls in the bedrooms and a beautiful enclosed balcony with stained glass detail in the living room – the perfect spot to sip a glass of wine and people-watch. Both bedrooms have French doors that open onto their own balconies, so you can wake up to a gentle breeze and the sound of the street below. The Old Town is just a ten-minute walk away, and with plenty of shops, bars, and restaurants around, you’ll be spoilt for choice when it comes to things to do. 

Palma Azul

Personally, we think a trip to San Sebastian is always a good idea, no matter the weather or time of year. And that’s where this home comes into play. Light and airy, the apartment is nicely decorated with a contemporary style. A highlight is the balcony off the master bedroom, accessed through the large French doors. The flat is located just a few streets from the beach of Zurriola, a beautiful stretch of sand for a stroll on a cold winter’s day and the perfect spot for sunbathing and surfing in the summer. Tucked away in the neighbourhood of Gros, it’s just a short walk along the river Urumea to reach the Old Town with its vast number of pintxos restaurants and bars. Welcoming up to six guests, this home offers comfort and ease in a great location.
