The striking distance to El Campanario shopping centre is handy (it's directly opposite), but if you're chasing escapism and seclusion, you may want to look elsewhere. Well-geared to family holidays, the neat pool area is gated for added peace of mind. While inside, interiors are pared back and oh-so-practical. And everyone will appreciate the sense of space this home brings, with bedrooms spread across the three floors.

This villa is a twenty-minute walk from the centre of lively Corralejo so you’re not right in the thick of things – it’s better suited to those looking to relax and unwind. And you can certainly relax beside the pool – which is larger than most for a villa this size – on an array of comfy loungers. Inside there’s a mix of Canarian-style wood beams and bright splashes of colour – it’s homey and welcoming but not the most modern. We love the outside space, and Playa Vista Lobos is within easy reach.

We don't throw around the term 'tropical oasis' very often, but the lush garden at this 300-year-old former farmhouse is more than deserving of the title. Brimming with mature shrubs, vibrant flowers and tall leafy trees, you'll want to spend all day, every day here basking in the Spanish sunshine and watching the palms sway. It's downright heavenly, and oodles of different seating nooks means you can follow the sun all day long. If you like to start your day with a workout, you needn't disrupt your routine here as there's a fully-equipped home gym for you to use whenever you like.

Once you're feeling energised and ready to take on the day, you've got Lanzarote's beautiful coastline to explore. If you want to stay close to home, the nearest beach is less than two kilometres away, but we highly recommend renting a car and heading to Papagayo. The white sandy coves and crystal clear waters make it with well worth the trip. 

When you get home from a day of exploring, winding down for the evening is easy when you're surrounded by a gorgeous garden. The outdoor kitchen is the perfect place to try cooking some local dishes on the barbecue or a delicious pizza in the pizza oven, followed by a few glasses of wine or even a cocktail prepared at the bar. There's plenty for you to do as The property comes with both a pool table and table tennis for your entertainment. If you prefer the company of a good book, then the exterior day bed is just for you, shaded from the sun, this cosy spot on the terrace is great for a midday snooze. There's also a shaded terrace and a bohemian-style dining table for alfresco dining. Why not grab some fresh produce from the local supermarket and whip up some delicious delights of homemade tapas or fresh seafood?

Inside the villa is split into two levels. Patio doors lead from the terrace to the lower ground floor where we find two ensuite bedrooms, one double and one twin. If you can tear yourself away, a mere five-minute drive takes you to the ports, beaches and eateries of Puerto del Carmen. 

With Love From Lanzarote

Situated in the residential area of Faro Park, this home is 4 kilometres from the centre of Playa Blanca and just 400 metres from the seafront promenade. If you prefer to cool off in a swimming pool – there’s a private heated one here in the pretty garden with its palm trees and Canarian-style seating area. There are sea glimpses and mountain views from the balcony too. Inside, the villa is a bit dated in places, especially the kitchen, but that said, there’s plenty of space for family or friends to enjoy.

The location of this villa is unbeatable. Restaurants, shops, and Puerto del Carmen's kilometre-long beach are less than a ten-minute walk away, so exploring on foot is a piece of cake. On the days you want to take it easy, swap a dip in the Atlantic for a swim in the private pool. There's also a sunny roof terrace, where you can perch with a glass of wine and admire distant ocean views. The fuss-free interiors won't be winning any awards for style, but they're comfortable nonetheless. We think it's a convenient option for families wanting to be close to the action.

With a heated swimming pool and private terrace, this villa in Puerto Calero is a perfect place to relax and rejuvenate in the Canarian sun. We'd say the interior is pretty traditional – chances are, it won't be for everyone – but design aside, the single-level layout inside works well for families. Location-wise, it's a short drive to Puerto del Carmen, where waterfront restaurants and lively beaches await. For a getaway on the Lanzarote coast, it’ll do the trick.

Ivory Atlantis

Situated within a sought-after resort in the verdant valleys of Lanzarote is this villa overlooking the Old Town harbour. Perfect for family gatherings or multiple couples and friends, the traditional yet fully outfitted home will make you feel instantly like a stylish local. The panoramic sea views from the terrace are glorious to wake up to before passing lazy days by the pool. The villa’s location couldn’t get any better and you will find all the desired restaurants, shops, and bars on foot. If you’d rather hit the beach, it’s also just a gallop away.

While this orange-hued villa isn’t the most exciting home in our collection, we think the outside space, sea views, and setting make it worth a closer look. The pool and alfresco dining area are the high points here, and you can admire sea views from both. Golfers will love being just a stone’s throw from one of Fuerteventura’s best golf courses, Salinas de Antigua. The sandy beaches and plentiful restaurants of Caleta de Fuste are also just a ten-minute drive away. Inside, it’s unfussy – a good base for a sunny holiday where you’ll want to be outside as much as possible.

Prepare to be wowed by The property! Located within the Castillo del Aguila area of Playa Blanca, this breathtaking property is not to be missed.

We were blown away by the 18m pool, a glistening blue, and formed in a bubble shape. This pool really does capture your eye and is the ideal place for cooling off in the midday sun or splashing around with the kiddies. As an added bonus, the pool is heated free all year round. With sun loungers galore, you can enjoy days of endless sunbathing, as you top up your tan under the glistening sunshine. For that added spot of relaxation, there's a terrace hot tub boasting magnificent panoramic sea views across the Atlantic. Under the beam-covered terrace, you'll find cosy hammock chairs, rattan sofas, and a large dining table. For alfresco cooking, there's an outdoor kitchen, complete with a pizza oven, brick-built BBQ, oven, hob and fridge. Enjoy cooking up a feast alfresco style amongst friends and family. Serve up a traditional Paella or an array of Tapas for all to enjoy? For the big kids out there, there's even a pool table for your own entertainment.

Inside, the property is furnished to a high standard, with bohemian and chic style furniture and a high-end kitchen. The ground floor is where we find most of the rooms, including the comfy living room with smart TV and four spacious bedrooms. The master bedroom has a king-size bed, with direct access to the patio terrace, and a large ensuite bathroom, with double vanity and a relaxing bathtub. There are a further three bedrooms on the ground floor, another ensuite and two twin bedrooms. All ground-floor bedrooms feature cool air conditioning. A spiral staircase leads down to the lower ground floor, here we find the last bedroom, with a ceiling fan and access to a private ensuite. There's also a second lounge on this floor, making it ideal for those wanting a little extra space on family holidays.

*Please note, the ground floor is on a split level and features a number of steps leading to some of the rooms.

El Amiga del Mar

Located in one of the most loved areas of Lanzarote, this home is perfectly placed for a laidback coastal escape. You won’t need a car to get around here as it’s just a short stroll to the beach and you’ll find a great selection of restaurants within walking distance. And when it comes to relaxation, there’s a private pool for blissful swims and a terrace with a barbecue for alfresco dining. Plus, your host is on hand help arrange extras like welcome packs and housekeeping.

A Good Translation  

You'll have plenty of opportunities to bask in the Canarian sunshine at this villa in Montaña Roja. Between the private pool (which can be heated for an added charge), indoor pool table and outdoor ping-pong table, dull moments are few and far between. Although the bathrooms are a little dated and some of the furniture is a tad traditional for our tastes, there's a good amount of space both inside and out for the whole family to feel comfortable. It's also in a very convenient location. A few restaurants, bars and shops are within walking distance, while Playa Blanca's expansive beach is a short drive away.

For a little respite from the heat of the day, sink into the refreshing water of the private pool where you’re afforded total privacy, courtesy of the lava rock wall encapsulating the garden. While such features mean this villa probably won’t appeal to child-free groups, there’s a lot to talk about here. The gym and sauna are a nice addition to a home that already boasts a remarkable pool – it wraps around the villa and has a sunken hot tub at one end. There’s table tennis and a dining table that converts into a pool table, so you know it’ll be popular with big kids too.

The vast minimalist spaces of the home overlooking the mountains and seas are both relaxing and theatrical in terms of aesthetics. And while we cannot get enough of the sophisticated kitchen and Al Fresco dining by the pool, there's a whole lot going on right outside your door. That's just one of the perks of living in the former fishing village of Puerto del Carmen, brimming with restaurants and places to explore. Walk through the town, stopping at the many markets on the way till you reach the stunning Old Town Harbour. Settle in for a feast of tapas and delicious local wines. Once you're through, explore the many beaches around, some bustling and others introspective. If you ever tire yourself out, escape with a taxi boat to Puerto Calero Marina, and uncover a more upmarket take on the beach life.

The villa is well presented with bright, airy, modern furniture and decorative touches. On entry, there is an open hallway leading to a spacious lounge diner with a high ceiling. Patio doors from here lead out to a glass-enclosed terrace with large sliding doors and an al-fresco style dining area. There are three bedrooms with large double beds and two bathrooms, one of which is en-suite. During the day, guests can relax on a sun lounger or take a dip in the glistening pool. In the evening, they can watch the sun set while cooking up delicious treats on the brick built BBQ. The resort centre is just a short drive away, offering a wide choice of bars and restaurants.

Situated on Lanzarote's Playa Blanca resort, this villa places you close to beaches, restaurants and shops. A car isn't necessary, but you'll want to hire one if you're looking to explore more of the island, including the gorgeous Timanfaya National Park. Sitting high above the Atlantic Ocean, this modern marvel is the ideal hideaway in Lanzarote. An extensive terrace makes the most of the view – whether you're enjoying a swim in the infinity pool, dining alfresco on fresh-caught seafood or taking a dip in the hot tub under the stars, you'll be able to feast your eyes on the rolling waves. The interior shows off the scenery as well, thanks to floor-to-ceiling patio doors that flood each room with natural light. Wake up to the clear blue sea glistening on the horizon each morning, then pad into the glossy kitchen for a cup of coffee and a delicious breakfast. There isn't a much better tonic for the soul than the combination of ocean views and sunshine. Wake up to precisely that every morning when you wander out to the balcony – here, you can eat breakfast alfresco or sit quietly with nothing but the sea salt breeze and a good cup of coffee. 

Make the most of the sunshine by lounging poolside, leaving your book behind to slip into the crystal clear water of the private pool whenever sunbathing gets a little hot. 

After a lazy morning, you might head out to explore the island. The beach is only a walk away, and if you're feeling particularly adventurous, you might even try your hand at the watersports on offer. There's also the potential for deep sea fishing and other island excursions that'll give you the full island experience, but be sure not to miss Puerto del Carmen. It still has the charm of an old fishing village, but with plenty of restaurants where you can get an authentic taste of Lanzarote.

Minimal but practical, you’ll find the best bits of this home in the outdoor areas. The pool space is a suntrap with plenty of room for all guests to relax in. On the terrace, there’s a lovely outdoor dining is with two stone barbecues perfect for some family time in the sun, plus a hot tub, too. You’ve also got a comfy balcony with views of the neighbourhood. On top of that, this home is a short walk from the beaches, bars and restaurants of Playa del Carmen.
