We don't throw around the term 'tropical oasis' very often, but the lush garden at this 300-year-old former farmhouse is more than deserving of the title. Brimming with mature shrubs, vibrant flowers and tall leafy trees, you'll want to spend all day, every day here basking in the Spanish sunshine and watching the palms sway. It's downright heavenly, and oodles of different seating nooks means you can follow the sun all day long. Start mornings off with an espresso on the rattan chairs, spend afternoons sprawled out on the outdoor sofa with a good book and end the evenings with a barbecue and a bottle of wine underneath the veranda.   

Even inside, you can make the most of the verdant scenery, thanks to huge floor-to-ceiling doors which open straight onto the garden. We love how bright and breezy the entire home is – whether you're cooking in the sleek kitchen, watching a movie on the smart TV, snuggling up in front of the wood-burner or snoozing in the comfortable bedrooms, the fresh air is only a few steps away. 

And the location is excellent, too. Nestled between Arrieta and Arrecife, you're just a ten-minute drive from gorgeous beaches, lively bars and mouth-watering eateries. Keep the botanical vibe going with a visit to the world-famous Cactus Garden – a thirteen-minute walk – or head to Playa del Jablillo, driveable in fifteen minutes, for snorkelling in the crystal clear waters.

Away from Lanzarote's well-trodden tourist trail, this home offers a peaceful escape in the northeast of the island. Set on the grounds of a 300-year-old farm just outside the village of Guatiza, it offers easy access to the volcanic landscapes of Tenegüime National Park and the waters of the North Atlantic. Its rustic interior decor is in keeping with its rural location, but given Lanzarote's fantastic year-round climate, we imagine you'll spend most of your time in the courtyard garden surrounded by tropical plants. Whether you're looking to lay back and relax by the pool, or play games with family, the Sunny Haven is a great place to be for your holiday to Puerto del Carmen. It boasts its own gym, and numerous ball games for those who like the action; or you can enjoy the poolside sun loungers if all you want to do is lay back and soak up the sun. Situated in a lovely location, Sunset Serenade has glorious views from the first-floor terrace where you can see the sea by day or enjoy watching the sun set in the evening. Equipped with a brick-built BBQ, you can cook up a storm in the outdoor kitchen area, ready to enjoy a feast with your nearest and dearest in the lovely alfresco dining area. There is plenty to keep you entertained in Blissful Retreat, but if you feel like heading out, you're not too far from the beautiful sandy beach and the strip of shops and bars that line it.

Paradise Delight

You're right at the epicentre of Corralejo's resort life at this villa, perched just a stroll from the beaches' bright white sands. The striking distance to El Campanario shopping centre is handy (it's directly opposite), but if you're chasing escapism and seclusion, you may want to look elsewhere. Well-geared to family holidays, the neat pool area is gated for added peace of mind. While inside, interiors are pared back and oh-so-practical. And everyone will appreciate the sense of space this home brings, with bedrooms spread across the three floors.

Sea of Sand

You'll have plenty of opportunities to bask in the Canarian sunshine at this villa in Montaña Roja. Between the private pool (which can be heated for an added charge), indoor pool table and outdoor ping-pong table, dull moments are few and far between. Although the bathrooms are a little dated and some of the furniture is a tad traditional for our tastes, there's a good amount of space both inside and out for the whole family to feel comfortable. It's also in a very convenient location. A few restaurants, bars and shops are within walking distance, while Playa Blanca's expansive beach is a short drive away.

The location of this villa is unbeatable. Restaurants, shops, and Puerto del Carmen's kilometre-long beach are less than a ten-minute walk away, so exploring on foot is a piece of cake. On the days you want to take it easy, swap a dip in the Atlantic for a swim in the private pool. There's also a sunny roof terrace, where you can perch with a glass of wine and admire distant ocean views. The fuss-free interiors won't be winning any awards for style, but they're comfortable nonetheless. We think it's a convenient option for families wanting to be close to the action.

The Palm Tower

Minimal but practical, you’ll find the best bits of this home in the outdoor areas. The pool space is a suntrap with plenty of room for all guests to relax in. On the terrace, there’s a lovely outdoor dining is with two stone barbecues perfect for some family time in the sun, plus a hot tub, too. You’ve also got a comfy balcony with views of the neighbourhood. On top of that, this home is a short walk from the beaches, bars and restaurants of Playa del Carmen.

Canary Wish

There isn't a much better tonic for the soul than the combination of ocean views and sunshine. Wake up to precisely that every morning when you wander out to the balcony – here, you can eat breakfast alfresco or sit quietly with nothing but the sea salt breeze and a good cup of coffee. 

Make the most of the sunshine by lounging poolside, leaving your book behind to slip into the crystal clear water of the private pool whenever sunbathing gets a little hot. 

After a lazy morning, you might head out to explore the island. The beach is only a walk away, and if you're feeling particularly adventurous, you might even try your hand at the watersports on offer. There's also the potential for deep sea fishing and other island excursions that'll give you the full island experience, but be sure not to miss Puerto del Carmen. It still has the charm of an old fishing village, but with plenty of restaurants where you can get an authentic taste of Lanzarote. 

Make your way back home in time for sunset drinks on the rooftop bar and spend the rest of the evening chatting under the stars with a glass of wine.

Even better, the beach is less than 2 kilometres away if you want to swap this home's pool for the sea. Back home, there's plenty to keep all your family and friends entertained, including an outdoor pool table, hot tub, and PlayStations (available to hire for a fee). Inside, the picture window in the open-plan living space looks out over an internal courtyard enclosed by a volcanic stone wall. It's also spread out across the ground floor, which we know parents and older guests will appreciate.

Cocoon of Blue

Just a short walk from Playa Chica beach on the gorgeous Puerto del Carmen coastline, this cosy villa provides a tranquil retreat from the hustle and bustle of this lively stretch of Lanzarote. Inside, the home is serene – bathed in natural light, with white walls, a sleek, modern kitchen and the occasional splash of colour to add a touch of personality to the space. After a busy day exploring the local area, pop your feet up on the chaise sofa, uncork a bottle of wine and settle down for a movie night with loved ones. When bedtime calls, you’ll find it easy to drift off into a deep slumber after climbing in between the crisp white sheets. 

In the morning, pad out to your terrace with a steaming cup of coffee and settle down on a sun lounger to take in the view. The sea glistens invitingly from behind the palm trees, and before long, you’ll be keen to feel the warm sand beneath your feet. After a day spent splashing about in the ocean, you can head home to sink into the cosy hot tub and watch as the sun sets and a blanket of stars breaks out overhead. "Say Hola to The property! This pretty villa is great for groups who want the best of both worlds. The villa boasts an impressive terrace, ideal for lounging by the pool on a sunny day. There's plenty for you to do as The property comes with both a pool table and table tennis for your entertainment. If you prefer the company of a good book, then the exterior day bed is just for you, shaded from the sun, this cosy spot on the terrace is great for a midday snooze. There's also a shaded terrace and a bohemian-style dining table for alfresco dining. Why not grab some fresh produce from the local supermarket and whip up some delicious delights of homemade tapas or fresh seafood?

Inside the villa is split into two levels. Patio doors lead from the terrace to the lower ground floor where we find two ensuite bedrooms, one double and one twin. There's also a lounge area and a small kitchenette. With its own living quarters, this property is ideal for those traveling together who want a little extra space. Internal and external stairs lead up to the ground floor, where we find the remaining two bedrooms, another double and twin room with access to a separate shower room. There's a further living room and a full kitchen on this level, as well as indoor dining facilities. As an added bonus, this villa also has an upper terrace that leads off the ground floor and overlooks the pool area."

Blissful Beach Haven

Set in the charming old town of Puerto del Carmen, just a short stroll from the old harbour – this home is close to an array of restaurants, bars and designer shops. Back at the villa, there are plenty of entertainment options for the whole family. Relax by the pool, while the kids enjoy the children's pool, or chill out in the hot tub. Probably the highlight for us, though, is the games room with its pool table, air hockey, cross trainer, and games console with accessories and games. One thing to note, there are two annexes here, which might suit members of the group who want more privacy –  they both have one bedroom and bathroom each with external access only.

Springing up between palm trees is this pristine white oasis, supported by Roman-style pillars and terraces curving from one floor to the next. The creative design of the home seems to take inspiration from the shells that line its nearby shores. Gaze out from one of the rounded balconies, head high and in awe of the edging sea as if standing at the bow of a luxurious superyacht. It's your call to decide if the coastal breeze is beckoning you for a day at the beach, or if the glistening pool down below is tempting you for a swim. Inside, the decor is gleaming with white, gold, marble and glass. Sweeping floor-to-ceiling curtains, wide patio doors, and carefully chosen prints create an undeniable sense of elegance. This three-bedroom home’s enclosed garden and pretty pergola are charming. While the interiors are functional and fuss-free rather than overly fancy, this home is all about its outdoor offering, which includes a private pool, a brick-built barbecue and an alfresco dining area. Location-wise getting out and about is a breeze. When it’s time for dinner and drinks we suggest heading into Marina Rubicón, the heart of Playa Blanca, where you’ll find a variety of local gourmet restaurants and lounge bars.

Pergola Pretty

Ideal for families, this home even has a children’s room set up with a London bus-style bunk bed. While such features mean this villa probably won’t appeal to child-free groups, there’s a lot to talk about here. The gym and sauna are a nice addition to a home that already boasts a remarkable pool – it wraps around the villa and has a sunken hot tub at one end. There’s table tennis and a dining table that converts into a pool table, so you know it’ll be popular with big kids too. 

Swimming in the Sun

Prepare to be wowed by The property! Located within the Castillo del Aguila area of Playa Blanca, this breathtaking property is not to be missed.

We were blown away by the 18m pool, a glistening blue, and formed in a bubble shape. This pool really does capture your eye and is the ideal place for cooling off in the midday sun or splashing around with the kiddies. As an added bonus, the pool is heated free all year round. With sun loungers galore, you can enjoy days of endless sunbathing, as you top up your tan under the glistening sunshine. For that added spot of relaxation, there's a terrace hot tub boasting magnificent panoramic sea views across the Atlantic. Under the beam-covered terrace, you'll find cosy hammock chairs, rattan sofas, and a large dining table. For alfresco cooking, there's an outdoor kitchen, complete with a pizza oven, brick-built BBQ, oven, hob and fridge. Enjoy cooking up a feast alfresco style amongst friends and family. Serve up a traditional Paella or an array of Tapas for all to enjoy? For the big kids out there, there's even a pool table for your own entertainment.

Inside, the property is furnished to a high standard, with bohemian and chic style furniture and a high-end kitchen. The ground floor is where we find most of the rooms, including the comfy living room with smart TV and four spacious bedrooms. The master bedroom has a king-size bed, with direct access to the patio terrace, and a large ensuite bathroom, with double vanity and a relaxing bathtub. There are a further three bedrooms on the ground floor, another ensuite and two twin bedrooms. All ground-floor bedrooms feature cool air conditioning. A spiral staircase leads down to the lower ground floor, here we find the last bedroom, with a ceiling fan and access to a private ensuite. There's also a second lounge on this floor, making it ideal for those wanting a little extra space on family holidays.

El Amiga del Mar

The property is situated in an elevated location, offering extensive panoramic views of the resort and coastline. The spacious terrace and enclosed dining area are all decorated with glass to fully make the most of the surrounding vista! The villa is well presented with bright, airy, modern furniture and decorative touches. On entry, there is an open hallway leading to a spacious lounge diner with a high ceiling. Patio doors from here lead out to a glass-enclosed terrace with large sliding doors and an al-fresco style dining area. There are three bedrooms with large double beds and two bathrooms, one of which is en-suite. During the day, guests can relax on a sun lounger or take a dip in the glistening pool. In the evening, they can watch the sun set while cooking up delicious treats on the brick built BBQ. The resort centre is just a short drive away, offering a wide choice of bars and restaurants.

Coastal Vista Retreat

Nestled on Lanzarote's southern tip, this villa is perfect for a laid-back escape in Playa Blanca. Suitable for families, this home has two children’s rooms and an outside play area – sure to keep kids busy while you fit in a workout in the gym. When you’re ready to head out and about, three wonderful beaches with one backed by a restaurant-filled promenade can be reached within a fifteen-minute walk.
