Although there’s enough bed space for five, we think the home is best suited for four adults and a child.

Come inside and be prepared for a beautiful treat – what the home’s façade promises with its old-world glamour, the interior more than delivers. We love the stone and wood details, the unique art pieces and furnishings, and the cosy, inviting ambience. There is more than enough space to snuggle up and enjoy a movie night or an afternoon of wine and conversation, with an ornamental fireplace to add to that homely feel.

When you start to miss civilization, though, you're just 15 minutes from La Bisbal d'Empordà, a town with shops and eateries, and close to some of Costa Brava's most beautiful beaches.

A 200-year-old farmhouse has been turned into a slick, white-washed hangout. Modernist influences are seen in the rounded walls, arched doorways, and buckled pillars. The living room is far out, from the white pool and foosball tables to the huge semi-circular sofa. The master suite is the most impressive, sending out spaceship vibes with its round bed, droplet shaped fireplace and spacious curved bath. But not even the slinky interiors can compete with Mother Nature, as views over the hills and out to the sea abound from every angle. The garden has been planted with bougainvillea, which showers archways and dining tables with pink blossoms when it blooms. For special occasions, head to the home's club room, complete with a DJ hut and incredible sound system. Outside, there are plenty of shady spots and the swimming pool provides respite on hot afternoons. When it comes to mealtimes, we recommend calling upon the help of your host to arrange for a private chef to take care of dinner. Inside, beds can be configured as doubles or twins upon request and there’s an office for anyone who’s mixing business with pleasure. Location-wise, Pals Beach is less than a twenty-five-minute drive away and the town of La Bisbal d'Empordà is reached in fifteen.

Perfectly positioned on a hillside, a ten-minute drive from the pretty town of Begur, this villa is all about sea views and laidback living. Your days will be spent on your private terrace, soaking up every last drop of the Costa Brava sunshine. Perhaps you’ll settle into a lounger with an ice-cold beverage in hand or maybe you’ll swim gentle laps in the glittering pool. When it’s time to eat, set the table on the balcony ready for a Catalan feast whipped up in the no-frills kitchen and if you’d like a quiet moment with your holiday read, the window seat in the bright living space is an excellent spot. Stretch your legs with a twenty-five-minute walk to Sa Tuna, an idyllic cove with a sandy beach – it was our favourite spot to while away the long afternoons. Head home before dusk with a bottle of Cava and watch the sunset melt into the ocean from your enviable vantage point.

Renovated to feel luxurious and modern, this beautiful villa was originally built in the 1940s and it has the patchwork stone facade to show for it. Although imposing from a distance, the interior radiates comfort and homeliness to make your break as cosy as possible, but not without a little dash of pizazz. Wander across three floors to find your favourite spot in this home – we can guarantee for some it will be in the games room where you can pass hours playing billiards, whereas other may take most favourably to the minibar and dancefloor. 

As fun as it is indoors, the outdoor area has even more to offer. Splash in the pool or challenge each other to a game of tennis, but don’t forget to unwind on the sunloungers as you kick back with an ice-cold drink and good book. 

Light the barbecue for lunch and make use of the sprawling terrace to socialise with wine, nibbles and good conversation. For a bit of alone-time, you can take to one of the swing chairs to admire the view, or stretch yourself all the way out on one of the hammocks to have an afternoon nap in the shade of the trees. 

Costa Brava has an arresting Mediterranean coastline and we encourage you to explore it. Start by taking a twenty-five-minute walk to the soft sand of Llafranc beach. When you’re not enjoying alfresco meals at home, you might stroll to find some choice restaurants not even ten minutes away.
