Just 300 metres from the turquoise waters and golden sands of Cala Canyella, this villa makes slipping into holiday mode feel effortless. Bedrooms are split between the main house and a guest house, offering a little extra privacy for friends or families. Life here is very much lived outdoors, with a choice of balconies and terraces for soaking up the sun or long alfresco lunches. Spend your days lounging by the pool with the sea stretching out before you, unwind in the jacuzzi or charter a boat and explore this stunning stretch of coastline from the water.

Seaside Symphony

A medieval manor in the quiet Catalan village of Garriguella, this house wears its history in every vaulted stone arch – from the ground-floor living space to the gym that looks out over the pool. Warm evenings are best spent in the walled courtyard or out on the pool terrace, where weathered stone walls keep things cool and unhurried. When you need a change of scene, Cap de Creus – Spain's rugged easternmost point – is a forty-four-minute drive away.

Stone & Saffron

Whether you’re reading a book, barbecuing some dinner, or even waking up in bed, there's no escape from this villa’s stunning sea views. There's nothing quite like terrace access from each room. Tucked up in the hillside, you will find yourself gazing down at the buzz and beauty of Platja D’Aro from every angle. Unsurprisingly then, this home is flooded with Spanish sunshine. Open all the doors and let that sea breeze fill the open space. Both easy drives away, the larger Catalonian cities of Girona and Barcelona place themselves within optimum distance to fill your days with colour and regional culture. As you start your day with a cup of fresh coffee out on the sunny terrace, the glistening communal pool down below offers a call that is hard to resist. If you'd prefer your own private oasis, Playa de Aro beach is a short drive away. With two whole kilometres of its beautiful grey sand making it one of the largest and widest in the area, there is certainly enough room to spread out here.

Ladera Ladera

A vision of relaxation just outside Sant Feliu de Guixols on the Costa Brava, this villa invites you to enjoy a treacly pace of life and make the most out of the dazzling Spanish sun.

Laid out over three floors, there’s plenty of space to socialise altogether, while the downstairs TV room, separate living area and comfortable bedrooms allow for quiet moments to steal for yourself. We love the contemporary, pared-back decor that feels effortlessly stylish against the bright white walls and tiled floors, while ample natural light fills the home thanks to the large windows and beautiful outdoor spaces. As well as the covered balcony upstairs, you’ve also got a stunning patio garden replete with outdoor seating, a barbecue and a shimmering private pool. Whether you’re taking cool dips in its waters, catching some rays on the loungers or sipping sundowners around the table, you’ll love making the most out of this sun-drenched space.

While you could easily while away whole days in your home, take some time to explore the nearby sights. You’re a seventeen-minute walk from sandy Playa de Sant Feliu, a four-minute stroll from the Les Penyes observation deck, while bustling Girona is just under forty minutes away by car.

Shimmering Blue

The sleek, contemporary design of this villa in Tamariu is effortlessly stylish. Floor-to-ceiling windows and glass walls on the lowest floor mean it's filled with light throughout the day, and a real highlight will be waking up to the panoramic sea views from two of the double bedrooms. Step out onto the balcony to enjoy a morning coffee overlooking the water, before a leisurely breakfast on the terrace below. And why not prepare a barbecue for lunch, dining al fresco on the oak wood table, or wander into Tamariu for a lunch of fresh seafood overlooking the beach.

Panoramic Blue

Perched in the Gavarres Massif Nature Reserve, this sprawling estate is a true retreat into nature. Sleeping twenty-six guests across two stone houses, there’s space for everyone to gather in this home – with plenty of privacy too, thanks to the ten en-suite bedrooms. Interiors are rustic chic, and while there’s no air conditioning, thick stone walls keep rooms naturally cool. Outside, the expansive grounds are the perfect spot for soaking up the view, with everything you need to disconnect. When hunger strikes, your private chef will be on hand to serve lunch and dinner, with supplies from your on-site vegetable garden. In fact, you'll have a whole team of staff at your disposal here – from pastry chefs to sommeliers and more. And the kids haven't been forgotten about, either. Swimming pool? Tick. Trampoline? Tick. TV room? Yes, that too. What more could you need?

Into the Catalonian Wild

Gaudi might be famous for his work in Barcelona, but that hasn't stopped this home taking inspiration from the famous Catalan architect. A 200-year-old farmhouse has been turned into a slick, white-washed hangout. Modernist influences are seen in the rounded walls, arched doorways, and buckled pillars. The living room is far out, from the white pool and foosball tables to the huge semi-circular sofa. The master suite is the most impressive, sending out spaceship vibes with its round bed, droplet shaped fireplace and spacious curved bath. But not even the slinky interiors can compete with Mother Nature, as views over the hills and out to the sea abound from every angle. The garden has been planted with bougainvillea, which showers archways and dining tables with pink blossoms when it blooms. For special occasions, head to the home's club room, complete with a DJ hut and incredible sound system. Life will feel pretty amazing floating in the infinity pool or sipping cocktails on the terrace.

Eros & Aphrodite

Tucked into a fragrant pine forest on the Spanish coast, this villa is built around its pool – cool water, dappled shade, and the scent of the hillside all around. As the day cools, the terrace comes into its own, warm light spilling out into the garden while the barbecue gets going. Meals feel easy here too, with sea views through open windows and a fireplace waiting for the evenings that run on. Lloret de Mar's sweeping golden bay is a nineteen-minute walk when you want to trade the pool for open water.

Pine & Tonic

You’ll find this villa in a quiet part of Platja d’Aro, a Costa Brava seaside resort known for its long stretch of golden sand. Staying here, you can walk to Platja Rovira and the town centre in minutes, and easily take day-trips to nearby medieval villages and natural parks. The villa has a private pool and sun loungers, as well as a barbecue and a terrace. It’s a great choice for a relaxing break, being convenient and comfortable in equal measure.

Brava Bella

Near the glamorous resort of S'Agaro – which has had famous visitors such as Charlie Chaplin, Elizabeth Taylor, and Sean Connery – you can live the high life on the Costa Brava at this delightful villa. You're just a 25-minute walk from S'Agaro beach, while a short drive will take you to the larger resort of Platja D'Aro, where there are plenty of restaurants and bars to discover. However, you might spend most days at your villa, sunbathing in the garden or taking a dip in the pool. Enjoy breakfast each morning at the outdoor dining table – the sun is guaranteed to shine all day here in the Costa Brava – before heading out to explore the local sights. Make sure to pick up ingredients for a barbecue or prepare meals in your kitchen, which contains all the amenities you'll need including a freezer, microwave, and dishwasher. A longer stay ensures you can explore all the best parts of this wonderful coastline, with the washing machine facilitating family-sized loads of laundry.

Stellar Equilibrium

Floor-to-ceiling windows and sliding doors allow the backdrop of the sea to be the mountains during your stay at this apartment on the Costa Brava. Sunny and finished with all the modern conveniences, a family will find great ease whilst at this home. Waking up to gorgeous views over the sea while you enjoy breakfast around the dining table will be a delight that won’t get boring. Both the master and children’s bunkroom opens up onto the terrace overhanging the sands of Empuriabrava beach. Speaking of, getting to and fro the golden sands and turquoise waters for water sports and sunbathing is easy, so you’ll have no trouble popping back to the terrace for lunch. The canals of the surrounding town, known as the Venice of Spain, are one of its defining attributes, so when you’re not with the kids engaging in activities, you can head out on a nightlife scene as vibrant and luxurious as some of Europe’s other seaside destinations.

Bravissima

Looking for a contemporary apartment within easy reach of the beach? This Calella home is just a six-minute stroll from the golden sands and hidden coves of Platja de Golfet and Camí de Ronda. Set across two floors, the three en-suite bedrooms work well for families or friends travelling together. Meanwhile, a private, sea-facing balcony sets the scene for alfresco dinners at sunset. Part of a small apartment complex, a shared swimming pool and wraparound communal terrace seals the deal. When you’re ready to explore, the fishing village of Calella de Palafrugell is within walking distance.
