This is a cosy and comfortable 5-room house located in Vizcondado de Cabanyes, just 3km from Calonge. The property features a private terraced garden with a fenced lawn, swimming pool, pergola, garden furniture, and barbecue. The house is equipped with digital TV, a fully equipped kitchen, four bedrooms, and two bathrooms. The upper floor offers a large terrace with terrace furniture and deck chairs. Guests can enjoy shared access to the shower/WC in the pool area and an outdoor shower. A car is recommended to explore the area, which includes nearby attractions such as Parque Aquatico (6km), sandy beaches (5km), sports harbor (8km), golf course (10km), and riding stable (12km). A day at the beach is possible at the secret bays of Cala del Crit and Cala el Golfet, both sandy coves hidden between the cliffs.

But we wouldn’t blame you if you ended up spending all your time at this luxurious, old-world villa instead. Sun terraces and shaded nooks offer sunseekers and wallflowers alike a place to spend the day. The fountain-fed Roman swimming pool invites you for a dip on a hot day and, wandering the expansive grounds, you’ll stumble across a tennis court and games area with ping pong. Outdoor dining is a treat with a huge table for the whole group in front of the summer kitchen and, if you’re hosting a special event, a marquee can be set up on the lawn.

The foundations of this home date back to the 14th century, and inside you can still get a feel for the medieval in the vaulted basement where you’ve got your own private spa. Down here, there’s an indoor swimming pool, steam room and sauna. Various lounges and sitting rooms allow the whole group to spread out and our favourite has to be the Rib-vaulted grand lounge with its Baroque painted ceiling harking back to a bygone era. Waking up to gorgeous views over the sea while you enjoy breakfast around the dining table will be a delight that won’t get boring. Both the master and children’s bunkroom opens up onto the terrace overhanging the sands of Empuriabrava beach. Speaking of, getting to and fro the golden sands and turquoise waters for water sports and sunbathing is easy, so you’ll have no trouble popping back to the terrace for lunch. Located on the coastal path between Llafranc and Calella de Palafrugell, this property is in one of the most beautiful areas of the Costa Brava. The sea views are expansive and lovely, and there is a small jetty on the lowest level of the home that grants access to Llafranc beach. You might hear some noise from neighbours due to the close-knit manner of the area's buildings, but you're within walking distance of several Llafranc restaurants, and it's easy to enjoy an authentic Spanish stay from this charming home.

Located on the Costa Brava, this family-friendly abode is just 800 metres from Platja de Canyelles and 7 kilometres from Tossa de Mar, a charming town home to traditional restaurants and two Blue Flag beaches. You’ll find large living spaces across two floors, making this a great spot for two groups of families looking for the occasional downtime. We loved the contemporary windows that flood the interiors with natural light, providing a seamless transition between indoor and outdoor living. Its stone-walled garden is in keeping with the home’s traditional charm and offers a lovely backdrop to the sunsets over the Pyrenees each night. 

Sunset Hideaway

Gaudi might be famous for his work in Barcelona, but that hasn't stopped this home taking inspiration from the famous Catalan architect. A 200-year-old farmhouse has been turned into a slick, white-washed hangout. Modernist influences are seen in the rounded walls, arched doorways, and buckled pillars. The living room is far out, from the white pool and foosball tables to the huge semi-circular sofa. The master suite is the most impressive, sending out spaceship vibes with its round bed, droplet shaped fireplace and spacious curved bath. But not even the slinky interiors can compete with Mother Nature, as views over the hills and out to the sea abound from every angle. The garden has been planted with bougainvillea, which showers archways and dining tables with pink blossoms when it blooms. For special occasions, head to the home's club room, complete with a DJ hut and incredible sound system. Life will feel pretty amazing floating in the infinity pool or sipping cocktails on the terrace.

This lovely home in Llafranc is perfect for those looking for absolute rest and relaxation. Boasting countryside views, this home is close to the beach and the bars of the town, while being nicely removed from tourist traps. Llafranc is a quiet part of Spain on the Costa Brava, with a stunning coastline and gorgeous beaches. 

The home is bright and cheerful, with bold splashes of colour that add warmth to the neutral palette. Your eye will most often be drawn outside, through the floor-to-ceiling windows that lead onto the large terrace. Trees surround the home, making it feel nicely secluded despite being part of a resort. 

When you’re not by the shared swimming pool – which is huge and inviting – you’ll likely spend most of your time on the terrace. There are sun loungers so sun-worshippers will be content, and there’s a lovely dining area too. You might like to drive fourteen minutes to beautiful Calella de Palafrugell for lunch by the water, and then spend your evenings grilling up local seafood on the barbecue. 

The clear water and soft sand of Platja El Cau are a seven-minute walk away, so days at the beach couldn’t be easier. To really take in the glorious coastline, walk ten minutes to the viewpoint at Mirador de la Divina Pastora. It’s a wonderful spot for sunset.

This charming villa in the picturesque fishing village of Calella de Palafrugell is a rare find. Situated in a residential area just 450m from the pretty beach of Platja Canadell, this home is a great spot on the Costa Brava coastline. Though the house feels a little dated in parts, it offers a comfortable space to unwind when the midday Mediterranean sun reaches its peak – then again, there’s the outdoor pool to cool off in too. Make the most of the built-in barbecue and dine alfresco or walk the coastal path to Llafranc for a memorable meal along the seafront.

Location-wise, Pals Beach is less than a twenty-five-minute drive away and the town of La Bisbal d'Empordà is reached in fifteen.
