A balcony with sea views and a wine fridge within reach – that’s a decent way to end the day. This first-floor apartment keeps things simple, with a bright layout, two bedrooms and a kitchen set up for easy meals in. The communal pool is just downstairs if you fancy a swim, though the coast is close enough that you may head there instead. You’re a five-minute walk from the Camí de Ronda coastal path and around six minutes from Platja del Golfet, with Calella de Palafrugell’s restaurants and seafront a short stroll away.

Calella Sea View

A medieval manor in the quiet Catalan village of Garriguella, this house wears its history in every vaulted stone arch – from the ground-floor living space to the gym that looks out over the pool. Warm evenings are best spent in the walled courtyard or out on the pool terrace, where weathered stone walls keep things cool and unhurried. When you need a change of scene, Cap de Creus – Spain's rugged easternmost point – is a forty-four-minute drive away.

Stone & Saffron

If you’re looking for a luxurious getaway on a stretch of coastline that as yet, miraculously remains unspoilt by the tourist rush, look no further. This four-bedroom villa, complete with a Roman-style private pool, is on one of the prettiest (and quietest) stretches of the Costa Brava, just minutes away from the fishing port and sandy beach of Tamariu. The villa itself is a treat, with bright colours and modern artworks - a welcome alternative to the sometimes bland decor of resorts. Fix yourself a drink in the open-plan living and bar area, soak up the sun on the terrace, or watch the kids splash in the pool - all while congratulating yourself on finding a little piece of unspoilt heaven.

Cobalt Glow

Sea views, sun-kissed outside spaces, and sleek interiors – this villa gets full marks from us. Unsurprisingly, the panoramas are the star of the show. The infinity pool feels like it spills into the sea, while the terrace offers the perfect vantage point for drinks as the sun goes down. Inside, the white hues and pared-back design let the vistas do all the talking. Consider yourself a fitness buff? The small gym is ideal for morning workouts. Right on the coastline of the Costa Brava, you'll be a short drive from Begur, Tamariu, and other notable spots – that's if you can pull yourself away from the scenery back home, of course.

Sun-Kissed Seaside

Amidst the historic streets of Begur, this home offers a calm coastal sanctuary. There’s a private pool and a covered terrace with a barbecue for alfresco dining. It’s a great option for families with a play area and plenty of space to stretch out in the garden and across the rooms. Your host is on hand to help organise extras like massage treatments, private chefs and fridge fills for your arrival. Plus, it's the perfect base for hiking and it’s just a short drive to Sa Riera beach and the pretty cove of Sa Tuna.

The Alejandro

Perched in the Gavarres Massif Nature Reserve, this sprawling estate is a true retreat into nature. Sleeping twenty-six guests across two stone houses, there’s space for everyone to gather in this home – with plenty of privacy too, thanks to the ten en-suite bedrooms. Interiors are rustic chic, and while there’s no air conditioning, thick stone walls keep rooms naturally cool. Outside, the expansive grounds are the perfect spot for soaking up the view, with everything you need to disconnect. When hunger strikes, your private chef will be on hand to serve lunch and dinner, with supplies from your on-site vegetable garden. In fact, you'll have a whole team of staff at your disposal here – from pastry chefs to sommeliers and more. And the kids haven't been forgotten about, either. Swimming pool? Tick. Trampoline? Tick. TV room? Yes, that too. What more could you need?

Into the Catalonian Wild

This beachfront apartment will have you glowing from dawn till dusk. The open-plan kitchen, living room and dining area are bathed in natural light coming in through large French doors, so to stay here is to move in to a vibrant, sociable space to prepare meals, play games, and whip up cocktails – complete with sun-kissed balcony to enjoy them on. The design and furniture nod to the sea with aquatic motifs, sleek blue seating, glass top table and polished silver flooring. When you’re not basking in the sun on your balcony, lazy days are best spent on Argelès Beach mere steps from your door. The seven-kilometre long beach is known for its warm sand and glistening water, as well as its seafront promenade with its surplus of shops, restaurants, late-night bars, and children's play area.

The Hot Seat

Golfing enthusiasts will love this family-friendly villa, tucked within the serene St Cristina d’Aro golf course complex, just five minutes from the clubhouse. But even if golf’s not your game, there’s plenty to keep everyone entertained – from lazy afternoons by the private pool to evenings cooking in the outdoor kitchen or relaxing in the stylish lounge area. Beyond the garden, scenic hiking and cycling trails wind through the surrounding mountains, while the golden sands of Platja d’Aro are only fifteen minutes away for beach days, seaside restaurants, and a spot of shopping.

Serenity in Costa Brava

This neat little apartment is a perfect spot for a family beach holiday. Set in a small fishing village, it’s in one of Costa Brava's most quaint areas – think sandy beaches, fragrant Mediterranean pines and fresh off the boat seafood. The light-filled rooms are clean and contemporary, with three bedrooms and a large dine-on balcony. You’re on the third floor of the apartment building, giving you unforgettable views across the sea and the resort. Kids will love the shared pool and play park, and beach bums will be in seventh heaven with sandy Playa S’Agaró-San Pol a short walk away. You’re within walking distance of the supermarket for breakfast bits or suppers on the terrace, and when you’re not in the mood to cook, there’s a great choice of restaurants which can be reached on foot as well.

Sun On The Pines

The sleek, contemporary design of this villa in Tamariu is effortlessly stylish. Floor-to-ceiling windows and glass walls on the lowest floor mean it's filled with light throughout the day, and a real highlight will be waking up to the panoramic sea views from two of the double bedrooms. Step out onto the balcony to enjoy a morning coffee overlooking the water, before a leisurely breakfast on the terrace below. And why not prepare a barbecue for lunch, dining al fresco on the oak wood table, or wander into Tamariu for a lunch of fresh seafood overlooking the beach.

Panoramic Blue

This colonial treasure in Girona stands out for its picturesque garden and swimming pool. Wander around the lawn and take lunch at the wooden table on the terrace; you'll feel in utter seclusion between the well-kept hedges. Head inside to make the most of the cosy furniture, and sit by the fireplace with friends on cooler evenings. Watch the widescreen TV with your family, before cooking up something special in the charming kitchen. The master bedroom is a highlight, with French doors opening onto an elegant balcony, providing views of the Girona countryside. Head to L'Escala for the shops and restaurants, before working up a tan on Riells Beach.

Kaleidoscope Of Dreams

Nestled amongst the Mediterranean woodland, this former 13th-century farmhouse is located between the foothills of the Pyrenees and the Spanish border. The well-designed interiors reflect the Catalan heritage, and the building benefits from ground-floor bedrooms and en-suites. Outside living is where this home shines – whether you want to unwind by the swimming pool, explore the gardens or enjoy a glass of Byrrh, a local aperitif on the terrace. The location suits those eager to explore the woodland, but the beaches aren't too far away either.
