This postcard-perfect home is quietly tucked away in the outskirts of Salobreña. From your private terrace, there are panoramas of the Balcón de Europa and Carabeo coves –  make the most of the vistas from the cosy lounge chairs, a Malaga digestif in hand.

With access to the resort’s plush daybeds and crystalline pool, you’ll be able to soak up the sun decadently. Though you might find all the relaxation you need is right here at home, the sparking waters along the Carabeo sands are right off your doorstep.

This stunning Andalusian villa is the perfect getaway for a holiday with your loved ones. The interior of the home is very nicely designed, but it’s the exterior we’re most enthusiastic about. With an infinity pool, ping-pong table and several lovely terraces (including a rooftop one) we don’t blame you if you’d like to spend all your time here. If you want the best of both – the beach is a thirty-minute walk away and the beautiful cities of Málaga and Granada are roughly an hour’s drive down the road.

Spend days poolside or on the balcony where you can enjoy wine and nibbles before firing up the barbecue for a Mediterranean feast. Though the beach is a little farther to drive to, it’s worth the more rural location and it also places you in closer proximity to Sierras de Tejeda, Almijara y Alhama Natural Park where you can spot waterfalls and admire the sweeping views as you hike one of the many trails. 

Back home, enjoy the sunset with a drink in the hot tub, and stay outside, making yourself comfortable in any of the seating areas, to chat under the sparkling night sky.

Set in the dramatic mountainous landscape of the Malaga countryside, this unique home has all the ingredients for an unforgettable holiday. Set on 6,500 square metres of land, the home comprises three separate houses built together in a small complex. Or spend the afternoon at one of Malaga’s beautiful sandy beaches, enjoying a paella at a seafront restaurant. After a day of sun, sea and sand, head home for cocktails on the terrace as the mountains turn pink.

Allocate days to exploring the sweeping views of the nature reserve as you set out to find the hidden waterfalls on the many hiking trails. Our favourite spot is the sun-kissed balcony. It's where you can start your day off with coffee while watching the neighbourhood wake up and end your evening with a glass of sangria as the tantalising sun goes down beyond the apartment block.

When you fancy exploring, the village has multiple attractions nearby, including golf and shopping, as well as a long sandy beach ideal for sprawling underneath clear blue skies. Hire bikes and go adventuring along the lively seafront with its array of bars and restaurants or, for a bit more buzz, make the twenty-five-minute drive to Málaga – we think it's perfect for a day trip.

Got Soul

With a heated plunge pool, sunny patio and a small balcony from which you can glimpse the sea, this breezy villa is the definition of coastal cool. Inside you'll find two lounges, a glossy kitchen and chic bedrooms that ooze laid-back luxe. Huge windows flood each room with light, creating a sleek, relaxing haven where you can kick back and relax in style. The small patio is perfect for soaking up the Spanish sunshine. After a quick dip in the crystal clear pool, take a breather on the lounge chairs under the shady umbrella. There's a market held every Tuesday, plus a myriad of delicious eateries serving up classic Spanish cuisine. The gorgeous Balcón de Europa is a can't-miss – lined with swaying palm trees and built on the foundations of an old fort, the panoramic views from this lookout are absolutely incredible. With boutiques, bars and beaches aplenty, there'll never be a dull day in paradise.

This sunny holiday home is in a resort in the Capistrano area of Nerja. You’ll have access to the communal outdoor swimming pool, in addition to having your own private terrace. The stunning vistas of the Mediterranean are what make this home so special, as they can be admired from outside, from the living room, and from the main bedroom – is there anything better than waking up to sea views? You’ll only be 2 kilometres from the beach, so you can easily add sandcastle building to the holiday itinerary.
