It's right at the heart of the action, though, tucked away on a side street and perched on the third floor, feels delightfully peaceful. Here, you're within walking distance of all the main sights, including El Retiro Park and the Plaza Mayor, both twelve minutes from your doorstep on foot.

From the outset, this home exudes grandeur with its pastel-hued facade and marble tiled entryway. The interior is just as elegant, boasting a calming canvas of high ceilings, wooden floors and stylish decor. Large windows usher in floods of sunlight, and we love the open-plan living space, where floor-to-ceiling French doors open up to not one but four balconies. After a restful slumber, spend mornings roosted here, sipping your coffee in the sunshine with picturesque street-facing views.

The Plaza de España right outside the flat is a great place to familiarise yourself with the city – go for a stroll, and soak up the atmosphere of this popular meeting place. Culture fans can take a five-minute walk to the Royal Palace of Madrid to soak up the sense of history, and enjoy a wander through the Jardines de Sabatini afterwards. And, when you get hungry, there's a large selection of nearby restaurants nearby, serving everything from traditional Spanish dishes to Korean meals and Peruvian fare.
