This pet-friendly apartment is a great choice if you fancy staying in the Esquerra de l’Eixample neighbourhood. Here, you'll get a feel for old-town Barcelona, as the daytime art galleries and traditional tapas bars offer something for everyone. This home's earthy interior design, flowy living space, and Juliet balcony promise nice touches for a base in the city. But the internal patio is where we imagine remote workers sipping sangria and making sightseeing plans after a day in the office.

Caramel Coves

This is a quirky apartment tucked behind Atocha station. The bold style decisions, including a coral photo print on the pillows, or a fish chandelier (you can see a theme forming), might not be to everyone's taste, but they certainly make this home unique. The Sea Change is comfortable, bright, and it has a balcony that's been converted into a study. Although slightly farther away from the museums, all the sights around Retiro are still accessible on foot and the area around Atocha hides tonnes of great restaurants and cafes.

The kitchen is primed for home-cooked meals with its modern layout and family-style dining area. The attention to detail here is impressive. With a pair of pared-back bedrooms swathed in soft throws and soothing earthy palettes, you’ll have no trouble getting a restful night’s sleep with wake-ups made all the more effortless thanks to the bathrooms’ resort-like rainfall showers. 

Salamanca’s high-end boutiques offer the perfect excuse for some sartorial browsing, though if you're hoping to see Goya's famous works, enjoy a walk through El Retiro Park to reach the Prado Museum – that way you can tick both off your list in one swing. Soak in Spanish life at a family-owned tapas restaurant for tortilla de patatas, then stop off at a neighbourhood bar for a vermouth on the rocks during aperitif hour – like a true Madrileño. 

Goya's Garden

Design lovers will appreciate the style and tone of this apartment. It’s also well suited to remote workers with a dedicated office and a private internal terrace – perfect for a refreshing break. By night, you can relax in the living room while listening to the sound of your favourite playlist thanks to the Bluetooth speakers. It’s worth noting there is no private parking here, but you will find great public transport links. Location is everything with this Eixample Esquerra home – it puts Barcelona at your fingertips. With museums, galleries, theatres, and eateries all a short stroll away and the beach about thirty minutes on foot, you won't need to go far for your fun here. That's not to say you'll need to be outside all the time though – far from it. Thanks to the well-equipped kitchen and cosy living area, you have all you need for a comfortable rest between excursions. Having two bathrooms is an added convenience, and the Juliette balcony in the main bedroom is a nice touch too.

The large French windows bathe the whole living space in natural light, and there are two inter-connected living areas, so everyone has space to relax in style. The interior design is modern yet classic – you'll love the ornamental fireplace, patterned rug, and carefully considered pops of colour. The kitchen is kitted out with everything you need to whip up some of your favourite Spanish dishes, and there's even a little balcony where you can enjoy a morning coffee or evening sundowner in the fresh air.
