Surrounded by artisan coffee shops and boutique art galleries, this apartment sits on a vibrant street in the heart of Malasaña and the eclectic interior design almost seems like a homage to the creative neighbourhood. The opulent sofa with the titular mural wouldn't be out of place in a local design shop, and neither would the dining table with the wooden hand chairs or the disused scooter display. Before accusations of wackiness get thrown about, we'd like to point out that the basics are done very well too. The high ceilings, walls painted in angelic white and washed-out parquet flooring combine to amp up the brightness, while the en-suite bathrooms all feel super-sleek, too. The location also deserves its fair share of praise. Some of Madrid's big-hitters are nearby — the Palace and Cathedral can be reached in fifteen minutes on foot, for example — while the shops and notable architecture of Gran Vía are only five minutes' walk away as well.

Angel Wings

This chic and attractive apartment has everything you might need for a comfortable city break. It’s located in Chueca, one of Madrid’s liveliest neighbourhoods, full of cafes, boutiques, and bars. Despite its central location, this is a peaceful home-from-home, ideal for unwinding after busy sightseeing days and evenings spent feasting on tapas. It’s bright and welcoming, flooded with light, and has been beautifully decorated in muted tones. Two guests will sleep on a sofa bed in the living room – if you’re hoping for more space, we’d recommend a maximum occupancy of two. 

The Bohemian Retreat

Found in the heart of Madrid, only minutes away from the Royal Palace, the iconic Plaza Mayor, and the Catedral de la Almudena, this home charms with a maximalist approach. Expect gallery walls, a bold colour palette, and an enticing blend of old and new. 

The sleek kitchen might be compact, but with enough space to cobble a light breakfast together. Enjoy it at the striking marble dining table before setting off for a day out in the city. Explore the vibrance of the city – a trait it happily shares with the home – stopping off at cafes and restaurants for lunch when not appreciating the art at a gallery or jumping on public transport to get to another landmark. 

Return to the cosy sofa and fireplace for comfort after a day out, or retreat to your bedroom, where you can get comfortable with a cup of coffee and a good book. However, with the living space perfectly set up for socialising, why not pour a glass of wine, light the fire and break out the board games, chatting late into the morning hours?


The Maximalist

Proving it's true what they say about small packages, this bold boho apartment might be compact, but it has everything you'd need. Comfortable and well-kept, the living, dining and kitchen space is perfect for a couple exploring Madrid. The dining table could also double as a laptop-friendly workspace for anyone catching up on work. As for your location, Malasaña boasts several hipster cafes and bars. Sights like Plaza Mayor, the Royal Palace of Madrid and El Retiro are all within walking distance but can also be reached by public transport if you'd like to preserve your feet.

A Bit of Spain

The elegant combination of Nordic interior design styles with fashionable industrial fittings make this newly renovated apartment a great choice. It's genuinely cosy and comfortable and the original artwork on the walls gives it a distinctly homey vibe. Two sweet balconies look out onto the typically graffitied streets of trendy Malasaña neighbourhood, and a tonne of quirky cafes, bakeries, restaurants and vintage shops are all close by. Ideal for a younger crowd, it's a ten-minute walk to central Gran Via, and fifteen to the busy Puerta del Sol. 

Camila

As far as studio apartments go, this one ticks a lot of boxes. Bright, practical and cleverly designed with a glass divider between the living and sleeping areas, there’s a lot to like about this pocket-sized space. While the practical, contemporary decor may not be the most inspiring, it’s a cheerful base to rest and regroup between sightseeing adventures. Speaking of which, you’re spoilt for choice as far as exploring goes from this central spot, with Gran Vía a five-minute walk away and Chueca’s tapas bars, vibrant nightlife and buzzing markets ten minutes away on foot. 


Caras

Perched high above Plaza de España in one of Madrid's tallest buildings, this stunning city-centre apartment is perfectly set up to spark your creative side. It's as if the host managed to condense their joie de vivre into the living room using nothing but a few carefully placed photos and artefacts that undoubtedly have great stories behind them. The bold prints and stylish furniture only add to the loud, proud and metropolitan ambience. The space itself is also absolutely stunning, with a large, light-filled kitchen/living/dining space that is the undoubted heart of the home. Large picture windows frame the views over the neighbourhood from your vantage point on the eleventh floor. When you want to get a little closer to the action, there's a balcony where you can sit out and enjoy your morning caffeine hit or pre-dinner aperitifs. Continue through to the en-suite bedroom, and the soothing neutral tones set you up for a restful night's sleep, with a spacious dressing area to try on outfit options for the day ahead once you've raised yourself from the comfy bed. The immediate area around the apartment is leafy and residential, so you're in for a more authentic Madrid experience than the usual tourist hotspots. However, the apartment offers the best of both worlds, as many of Madrid's main sights – including the Palacio Real and Plaza Mayor – are within a fifteen-minute walk, while the likes of the Museo Nacional del Prado are under half an hour away on foot.

Creative Assembly

This home might not be the largest in our collection, but it more than makes up for its petite size with its fabulous location. Situated right on the Plaza de España, it puts you right in the heart of Madrid and makes the perfect place to begin your adventures. 

Step inside, and you'll find a sleek, modern space with parquet flooring and high ceilings. The sofa is great for relaxing in the evening and folds out into a bed, for flexible sleeping arrangements. There's also a little dining table and a chic green-tiled kitchen, where you can whip up tasty meals to refuel after a busy day. And, the stylish blue and mustard yellow colour scheme throughout the apartment creates a sense of calm that will make you feel right at home. 

The Plaza de España right outside the flat is a great place to familiarise yourself with the city – go for a stroll, and soak up the atmosphere of this popular meeting place. Culture fans can take a five-minute walk to the Royal Palace of Madrid to soak up the sense of history, and enjoy a wander through the Jardines de Sabatini afterwards. And, when you get hungry, there's a large selection of nearby restaurants nearby, serving everything from traditional Spanish dishes to Korean meals and Peruvian fare. 

Blue Watercolour

Tucked on a quiet residential street in the historic Malasaña district, this elegant home reflects the beauty and warmth of its location. 

As you enter the apartment, there’s an instant sense of calm and tranquillity – making it the perfect setting to relax during your city stay. Outside, wander through the neighbourhood towards Plaza del Dos de Mayo – only a five–minute walk away. From here you can spend your day visiting galleries, shopping, dining and admiring Madrid’s iconic sights.

Situated just a few metres away from Gran Vía and Puerta del Sol, this bright studio apartment has some of Madrid’s most important sites within easy reach. It's certainly snug, but what it lacks in space it makes up for with its enviable location. Floor-to-ceiling windows, Netflix and a Playstation on hand are nice touches once inside. And your host offers a plethora of concierge services to make the most of your time here, from personal shoppers and private chefs to museum visits and wine tastings.

Just a five-minute walk from the iconic Gran Via and ten minutes from the lively Chueca neighbourhood, you're surrounded by the city's best restaurants, bars, and shops. Don’t feel like dining out? Back home the kitchen, though cosy, has everything needed to rustle up a hearty dish of paella to end the day.
