With its beach-vibe decor – think wood floors, palm feature walls, houseplants and wicker and wood accents – you’ll feel at ease from the moment you walk through the door. We love how much natural light pours in from the glass doors that lead out onto a Juliet balcony and the chic dining table that invites homemade tapas feasts and elegant soirées catered by a private chef (your host can organise this). The bedroom, meanwhile, is just as serene with its tropical statement wall and king-size bed, while the marble-clad bathroom beckons long bubble baths after a day of seeing the sights.

Speaking of exploring, you’ve got plenty to see and do within easy walking distance, including Puerta del Sol (eight minutes), Plaza Mayor (ten minutes), the Royal Palace of Madrid (fifteen minutes) and the Museo Nacional del Prado (twenty minutes). With your host able to arrange tickets to events and museums, as well as organise trips to nearby towns, cities and wineries, you’re all set to experience Madrid in style.

This chic and attractive apartment has everything you might need for a comfortable city break. It’s located in Chueca, one of Madrid’s liveliest neighbourhoods, full of cafes, boutiques, and bars. Despite its central location, this is a peaceful home-from-home, ideal for unwinding after busy sightseeing days and evenings spent feasting on tapas. It’s bright and welcoming, flooded with light, and has been beautifully decorated in muted tones. Two guests will sleep on a sofa bed in the living room – if you’re hoping for more space, we’d recommend a maximum occupancy of two.

Despite being located in the heart of Malasaña, Autumn Jungle is tucked away on a quiet street. Walking to Plaza Mayor or Palacio Real will be a breeze, but the nearby streets of Madrid's trendiest neighbourhood will have you stopping in art galleries and cosy bars along the way. This is a well-executed home with curated artwork, where special attention has been given to the details. It might not be the biggest home in our collection, but it has a pleasant, bohemian chic vibe that fits in perfectly in the spirit of Malasaña.

The Narcisse is only a few minutes away from Calle Fuencarral, one of our favourite shopping streets in Madrid. To say that it's centrally located is an understatement, especially since this home is practically surrounded by Malasaña's finest quirky cafes and restaurants. Narcisse is an ambitious home – the golden details are risky but well-balanced with calmer tones, and the layout is (rightfully) focused on maximising the natural light, which mostly comes from the French doors. But in the end, this home won us over with the urban view.

You'll find this apartment in Argüelles, home to low-key tapas bars, art-house cinemas, and traditional eateries popular with students. Exploring is a breeze here. Ventura Rodriguez metro station is a short walk away, though you can also stroll to Plaza Mayor and the Royal Palace in about twenty minutes. Back home, there's a practical yet cosy living space. The kitchen is well-appointed for rustling up light bites, while three bedrooms offer respite after a long day on your feet. If you're looking for a laid-back stay, this pad is a great choice.

Molten Brass is neat and tidy. There isn’t a lot that jumps out at you, but that’s not necessarily a problem – the atmosphere inside is pretty calm. That stands in contrast to the atmosphere on the street below, which is pretty intense, but that’s because you’re in the heart of Malasaña, so there’s tonnes to do. As is common with any flat that is rented out all the time, there’s a lack of personality but the attention to detail, and generally pleasant, if simple, design help make the flat feel more homely.

Malasaña is famous for being slightly outrageous, which is probably why Queen of the Castle is in it. A tour of this home reveals a glamorous hybrid design theme that balances modern baroque-inspired pieces with jungle and safari themes – dear lovers of minimalism, you might want to stay elsewhere. But if gold-coated flora and fauna with an occasional crown-cum-skull ensemble sound like heaven to you, then you'll find Queen of the Castle an absolute delight. Not to mention that you'll be within walking distance to Puerta del Sol and the vibrant neighbourhood of Chueca.

The elegant combination of Nordic interior design styles with fashionable industrial fittings make this newly renovated apartment a great choice. It's genuinely cosy and comfortable and the original artwork on the walls gives it a distinctly homey vibe. Two sweet balconies look out onto the typically graffitied streets of trendy Malasaña neighbourhood, and a tonne of quirky cafes, bakeries, restaurants and vintage shops are all close by. Ideal for a younger crowd, it's a ten-minute walk to central Gran Via, and fifteen to the busy Puerta del Sol.

Tucked on a quiet residential street in the historic Malasaña district, this elegant home reflects the beauty and warmth of its location. 

As you enter the apartment, there’s an instant sense of calm and tranquillity – making it the perfect setting to relax during your city stay. With soft tones and exceptional styling, this is the kind of space that encourages you to enjoy the moment. Whether it’s preparing coffee in the kitchen, reading in the living room or looking out onto the street views, it’s easy to admire the beauty of this space. 

Outside, wander through the neighbourhood towards Plaza del Dos de Mayo – only a five–minute walk away.  This historic square is a great spot to soak in the lively city atmosphere from a bar or restaurant – it also has a wonderful weekend market. From here you can spend your day visiting galleries, shopping, dining and admiring Madrid’s iconic sights.

Found in the heart of Madrid, only minutes away from the Royal Palace, the iconic Plaza Mayor, and the Catedral de la Almudena, this home charms with a maximalist approach. Expect gallery walls, a bold colour palette, and an enticing blend of old and new. 

The sleek kitchen might be compact, but with enough space to cobble a light breakfast together. Enjoy it at the striking marble dining table before setting off for a day out in the city. Explore the vibrance of the city – a trait it happily shares with the home – stopping off at cafes and restaurants for lunch when not appreciating the art at a gallery or jumping on public transport to get to another landmark. 

Return to the cosy sofa and fireplace for comfort after a day out, or retreat to your bedroom, where you can get comfortable with a cup of coffee and a good book. However, with the living space perfectly set up for socialising, why not pour a glass of wine, light the fire and break out the board games, chatting late into the morning hours?


The Maximalist

Malasaña is a frequent traveller's favourite. An ever-changing landscape of artisan cafes and local galleries, it's a perfect start to an off-the-beaten-path holiday. In the Flow is a typical Malasaña resident – relaxed and bohemian, with a mixture of high-quality furnishings and flea-market knick-knacks that add to its charm. It might not be a great home if you're particularly tall (due to the slanting ceilings), but it's big, bright, and comfortable.

We'd struggle to think of a better location than Gran Vía. This avenue is the city's lifeline, filed with theatres, shops and great transport links to Madrid's many landmarks. Grey Magnolia isn't only central, it looks good too. Some might find its minimalism a bit boring, but the well-curated designer furniture has plenty of character, making the most of the small square footage. We especially liked the headboard in the bedroom and the chic dining table.

While not overly flashy, Molten Bronze's simplicity is refreshing. The interior is clean, with a few things that really standout, like the kitchen splashback, which is not something we get to highlight very often. For the most part, the furniture and decorations come from Maison du Monde, so it’s solid and stylish, if not unique. The location won’t be for everyone – it’s on a busy street in Malasaña, so it isn’t very peaceful, but there’s loads to do and you won’t get bored.


Molten Bronze

Simple and practical, this home may not have much in the way of entertainment or flashy amenities, but it offers a great location from which to explore Madrid’s sights. A short walk from the Royal Palace of Madrid and within easy reach of Plaza Mayor and Gran Vía, it’s a central, functional base for those looking to spend most of their time venturing about the city. When you are at home, however, you’ll find a cheerful feature wall in the open-plan living area and a handy dining nook for when you’re not out sampling the local tapas bars. And while the main bedroom is a little cramped, the home has the benefit of two bathrooms – certain to speed up any morning ahead of a busy itinerary. 


Botón De Oro

Keen to be in the hustle and bustle? This apartment, just a ten-minute stroll from Gran Vía, may be a great choice. It's easy to get to all the landmarks on foot or by metro, and there are a lot of bars and restaurants nearby. Unsurprisingly it can get a tad noisy – but that's part of the city experience. We love the bright living area, and the two snug bedrooms channel Spanish sunshine with their yellow paint. Size-wise, it's rather compact but still comfortable – just note that it's on the second floor and lacks a lift.

Amber Thistle

Surrounded by artisan coffee shops and boutique art galleries, this apartment sits on a vibrant street in the heart of Malasaña and the eclectic interior design almost seems like a homage to the creative neighbourhood. The opulent sofa with the titular mural wouldn't be out of place in a local design shop, and neither would the dining table with the wooden hand chairs or the disused scooter display. Before accusations of wackiness get thrown about, we'd like to point out that the basics are done very well too. The high ceilings, walls painted in angelic white and washed-out parquet flooring combine to amp up the brightness, while the en-suite bathrooms all feel super-sleek, too. The location also deserves its fair share of praise. Some of Madrid's big-hitters are nearby — the Palace and Cathedral can be reached in fifteen minutes on foot, for example — while the shops and notable architecture of Gran Vía are only five minutes' walk away as well.

With this apartment you get the best of both worlds – it’s situated between the traditional Chamberí district and the vibrant Malasaña neighbourhood. The Centro de Cultura Contemporánea Condeduque is a short stroll away, as is the Liria Palace. There’s a wide array of eateries within walking distance as well, offering cuisines from Spanish to Japanese and Persian. We love the large open-plan living space at this home – this room also sleeps guests three and four on a sofa bed. There’s a desk here too for when you need to work while staying in Spain’s capital city.

Chamberí Light

This is a calm, dreamy home with lots of nooks to hide away and relax. Think gentle, coherent style and wonderful details, such as the rock wall in the living room or the breakfast bar in the open kitchen. The huge door-to-ceiling windows in the living room bring in the daylight without the noise, making you almost forget that you're located in the heart of Malasaña. We recommend the nearby Toma Cafe for a taste of the local atmosphere.

Coco Mimosa

Furnished with attention to detail and an appreciation for natural materials, this home knows how to make the best out of its assets. While the two balconies make sure that there's plenty of light in the living room and kitchen, wooden details in each room add to a coherent style that is most obviously expressed through the exposed wooden beams. We felt that the two bedrooms could benefit from an update, but the living room with the open-plan kitchen is one of the most stylish spaces we've seen in Madrid so far.

Just a five-minute walk from the iconic Gran Via and ten minutes from the lively Chueca neighbourhood, you're surrounded by the city's best restaurants, bars, and shops. Don’t feel like dining out? Back home the kitchen, though cosy, has everything needed to rustle up a hearty dish of paella to end the day. And with the apartment’s seamless blend of modern and rustic, and the mirrored ceiling adding a sense of space, you’ll find it easy to relax here.

This apartment in the Malasaña district of Madrid is a true sanctuary in the city. With plenty of style and a location in one of the most exciting areas of the capital, it's the perfect place to kick back and relax between your adventures.

Uncork a bottle of Albariño wine and get comfortable after a busy day of sightseeing – you'll feel at home in no time at all. When you get hungry, you can whip up some of your favourite dishes in the kitchen to serve at the serene dining space. And, come evening, you can look forward to a fantastic night's sleep in one of the cosy bedrooms, complete with crisp white sheets. 

The surrounding streets are full of bakeries, quirky bars, and vintage clothing shops that are popular with local students and visiting tourists alike. When you want to do some sightseeing, take a fifteen-minute walk over to the Royal Palace, then visit Plaza Mayor, one of the city's most famous squares. And, if you want to travel further afield, simply hop on the subway at Noviciado station – it's just three minutes away from your front door.

You’re a ten-minute walk from Plaza Mayor, a fifteen-minute stroll from the Royal Palace of Madrid and twenty minutes on foot from the Museo Nacional del Prado. With your host able to organise everything from personal shoppers to chauffeurs, wine tours and tickets to events and museums, there’s no end to the enjoyment and fun in store.

We love this apartment’s spacious roof terrace with its views over the city. It has two seating areas, while inside there are two living spaces as well (one has low ceilings, so be prepared to duck if you’re tall). This home is located in the heart of Malasaña, a district known for its history, vintage shops and cool cafés. Explore Plaza del 2 de Mayo with its weekend market stalls or immerse yourself in the exhibits in the Conde Duque Contemporary Culture Center nearby.

The Mailbox

This cosy and comfortable apartment is a great base in the heart of Madrid. You can look forward to returning to a modern space after seeing the sights – and you don’t have to travel far for those. You’re only 300 metres from Gran Via, and are also within easy reach of Plaza Mayor. You’re within easy reach of countless restaurants and bars, too, so you’ll really get to experience the best of the city. Two guests will be sleeping on a sofa bed in the living room, but we think that’s a fair trade-off for a location as convenient as this. 

La Nueva Vida

Cosy and charming, this apartment nestled in the heart of the vibrant centre of Madrid is the perfect spot for a romantic city break for two. While outside you’ll find yourself amidst the hustle and bustle of the capital, here you’ll be able to relax and enjoy total peace and tranquillity. 

The place might be small in scale but it never feels cramped – you’ll have plenty of room to relax in the comfy living area, under the watchful eye of Audrey Hepburn gazing down from the wall. Enjoy snuggly evenings of Spanish wine and conversation here – you can also rustle up quick and delicious meals in the bright and modern kitchen. Savour them at the elegant dining table, ideal for candlelit suppers – in case you have some laptop work to catch up on this is also the place to get that out of the way.
 
Meanwhile, the plush bed in the bedroom promises a good night’s rest – awake restored and ready for another day of city adventures. With most of Madrid’s most iconic sights within walking distance, you’ll find yourself spoiled for choice when it comes to things to do. Start by picking a direction – there’s magic awaiting around every corner.

Stylish and practical, this cute pad is a great choice for exploring Madrid. It might be snug, but it caught our eye for its fantastic location – both Puerta del Sol and Gran Vía are mere metres away, and you can find yourself in one of the city’s coolest neighbourhoods, Chueca, in no time. Back home, the suite’s trendy touches and surprisingly well-equipped, good-sized kitchen make up for the size. The lack of separation between the bedroom and living area won’t be suitable for everyone, but if you’re simply looking for somewhere comfortable to rest after exploring the city, this pad has got everything you could need.

We dare you to find a better location for this stylish apartment, stood right in the beating heart of Madrid. You can be ambling along the city's grandest boulevard, Gran Via, with its towering belle-époque facades brimming with restaurants and boutiques, in one minute flat. You're also set equidistance between two of the city's most happening barrios (that's neighbourhoods to us). Head to Malasaña (a five-minute walk) for a morning pottering about the coffee shops, bakeries, and vintage clothing stores. Then grab a table outside at one of the many bustling tapas bars and restaurants of Chueca (a nine-minute walk) and watch day turn to night. Back at home, this apartment housed in an elegant period building along a pretty tree-lined street gives all the Spanish feels – think grand stone facades with ornate balconies. But once inside, this property is as contemporary as it gets, awash in crisp-white interiors. Groups of friends will love the sense of space here, with a vast lounge to crash out in, airy bedrooms bathed in natural light, and sparkling bathrooms with rainfall showers.  So, gather your troops and make it snappy – this place has got fun written all over it.

Situated in the central neighbourhood of Malasaña and just a fifteen-minute walk to most attractions, this apartment is a great base from which to explore Madrid. A light and beautiful home, the space combines cosy comfort with a youthful vibe. The living areas have wooden beams and whitewashed walls, but added to the style are pop-art paintings and Coca-Cola memorabilia. Homely touches include vases filled with flowers and the whitest of linen in the bedrooms. In the morning, throw open the tall windows and shutters and let the sounds of the city waft through the rooms. Rustle up breakfast in the kitted-out kitchen, then move into the lounge and sip coffee while looking down on the activity below. There are so many things to do here but there’s no need to rush. Shops, restaurants, bars and attractions are all within walking distance and if you need public transport the metro station is a mere five-minute stroll away. Phew!

It's as if the host managed to condense their joie de vivre into the living room using nothing but a few carefully placed photos and artefacts that undoubtedly have great stories behind them. The bold prints and stylish furniture only add to the loud, proud and metropolitan ambience. The space itself is also absolutely stunning, with a large, light-filled kitchen/living/dining space that is the undoubted heart of the home. Large picture windows frame the views over the neighbourhood from your vantage point on the eleventh floor. When you want to get a little closer to the action, there's a balcony where you can sit out and enjoy your morning caffeine hit or pre-dinner aperitifs. Continue through to the en-suite bedroom, and the soothing neutral tones set you up for a restful night's sleep, with a spacious dressing area to try on outfit options for the day ahead once you've raised yourself from the comfy bed. The immediate area around the apartment is leafy and residential, so you're in for a more authentic Madrid experience than the usual tourist hotspots. However, the apartment offers the best of both worlds, as many of Madrid's main sights – including the Palacio Real and Plaza Mayor – are within a fifteen-minute walk, while the likes of the Museo Nacional del Prado are under half an hour away on foot.

If you're looking for a cool city pad right in the thick of the action, this location is as central as it gets. Placed just one minute away from Gran Via, Madrid's grandest boulevard, and with two of the city's most happening barrios (that's neighbourhoods to us) close by, you can experience the best of Madrid living here. Potter about the coffee shops, bakeries, and vintage clothing stores of Malasaña (five-minute walk) by day. Then head to the bustling tapas bars and restaurants of Chueca (nine-minute walk) by night. When it's finally time for you to all rest your heads, there's a sleek, contemporary apartment waiting. Awash in cleansing whites, with just the occasional pop of colour, we love the luminous, spacious feel about this place. Slide open the smart pocket doors to reveal bedrooms bathed in natural light and crisp white linens, large hotel-like bathrooms with rainfall showers and twin sinks, and a lounge area with heaps of room to crash out. But really, it's those beautiful views of the urban rooftops seen from the dining area that will be grabbing your attention – it's a lovely spot to sit and watch life go by, whatever time of day.

Outside of your home, Gran Vía’s shops beckon a one-minute walk away, Plaza Mayor is a ten-minute stroll, the Royal Palace of Madrid is walkable in fifteen and the Museo Nacional del Prado is twenty minutes away on foot. Factor in the tickets to events and museums, as well day trips and wine tastings your host can arrange – as well as personal shoppers and chauffeurs – and there's no end to the entertainment and fun in store.


Con Calma

This home might not be the largest in our collection, but it more than makes up for its petite size with its fabulous location. Situated right on the Plaza de España, it puts you right in the heart of Madrid and makes the perfect place to begin your adventures. 

Step inside, and you'll find a sleek, modern space with parquet flooring and high ceilings. The sofa is great for relaxing in the evening and folds out into a bed, for flexible sleeping arrangements. There's also a little dining table and a chic green-tiled kitchen, where you can whip up tasty meals to refuel after a busy day. And, the stylish blue and mustard yellow colour scheme throughout the apartment creates a sense of calm that will make you feel right at home. 

The Plaza de España right outside the flat is a great place to familiarise yourself with the city – go for a stroll, and soak up the atmosphere of this popular meeting place. Culture fans can take a five-minute walk to the Royal Palace of Madrid to soak up the sense of history, and enjoy a wander through the Jardines de Sabatini afterwards. And, when you get hungry, there's a large selection of nearby restaurants nearby, serving everything from traditional Spanish dishes to Korean meals and Peruvian fare. 

Blue Watercolour

Angela, the host, actually used to live in this apartment when she was a kid. She later inherited it from her father. It was empty for a while, but then she decided to refurbish it with the aid of her husband and daughter (who are both architects), the result being a rustic-meets-Scandinavian-style home of our dreams. It's impossible to find fault with the design – it’s truly the stuff that interior design magazines are made of. Set against Malasaña, the location is also wonderful, with concept stores, independent eateries and coffee shops on your doorstep.

Bohemian Night's Dream

Tucked away in Malasaña-Universidad, this apartment combines comfort with style to bring you an unforgettable city stay. There are dedicated desks for remote workers and the cosy living room has a sound system and Smart TV – making it easy to switch off after a day of exploring. Two of the bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms and the single bedroom is a great option for kids. It’s worth noting there is no private parking, but you will find it’s just a short walk to the nearest shops, bars and restaurants.

This apartment is an urban masterpiece. Designed to incorporate the serenity of the earth and all its textures, the decor will leave you feeling totally zen. Designed to be social, the striking industrial wooden beams set against contemporary Scandinavian style really make the turquoise living room pop. And the American-style island in the kitchen is ideal for quick breakfasts. Besides all the main attractions nearby, you'll also find tonnes of great restaurants, bars and shops dotted around bohemian Malasaña neighbourhood.

There’s a cool serenity to this home in Madrid’s lively Chueca neighbourhood with its blue and white living space and bohemian, Japanese-inspired decor. Mellow out on the sofa while listening to a vinyl record or catch up on work at the long desk in the forest green second bedroom. Carefully curated design details – like the master bedroom’s half-moon headboard – give the space a modern feel while the wicker and wood accents lend a peaceful feeling of nature to the proceedings. Our favourite spot, however, is the private balcony with its views over the city’s rooftops. Sit here with your morning coffee while catching some Spanish rays or take in breathtaking sunset views over a glass of Spanish wine. Outside of your home, your Chueca locale is packed with cosy sidewalk cafes, tapas bars, restaurants and a vibrant bar scene, as well as boutiques, and popular markets like San Antón (a ten-minute walk) and Plaza del Dos de Mayo (a four-minute walk). Elsewhere there’s plenty of retail therapy to enjoy along Gran Vía (a fifteen-minute walk) and both the Royal Palace of Madrid and El Retiro Park are walkable in twenty-four minutes.

Remove yourself from the noise and bustle back home by stepping foot in this calming apartment made up of natural textiles, neutral tones and rattan furnishings in the heart of the Justicia District. We love the blend of modern design and old-world Saharan decor that makes for a zen and balanced space to kick back after a day of sightseeing.
