If you’re seeking a quieter location in the vibrant city of Madrid, this pad might be for you. Situated in Puente de Vallecas, this modern apartment is just a ten-minute walk from two metro stations, so you can be easily transported to the city centre when you’re ready to catch the sights. There’s plenty of space for a family or group of friends, with your host able to provide a cot and high chair for little ones, though please note two guests will be sleeping on the sofa bed in the living room. And while the kitchen is only equipped for light bites, we think you’ll want to sample Madrid’s’ eclectic culinary offerings. 

Madrid Soul

This home offers a simple base for travellers with busy schedules. While there's little privacy to be enjoyed for up to four guests, the packed kitchen has everything you'll need to whip up a hearty breakfast. Plus, the balcony promises a bit of outside space for fresh-air downtime. What we love is the nearby restaurants and public transport links, inviting you to explore the city further. For those itching to get the most out of sightseeing, luggage storage can be arranged.

A Minute of Modernity

Warm and welcoming, this home is a comfortable choice of base in Madrid. It’s in the lively neighbourhood of Puente de Vallecas, near Retiro, so you’re close to the action. There are two metro stations nearby, Nueva Numancia a nine-minute walk away, and Puente de Vallecas at a ten-minute distance. You can easily see the sights without breaking a sweat – reaching Puerta del Sol only takes twenty-five minutes. The apartment is simple and stylish, though with two guests on a sofa bed in the living room, it can feel a little crowded. 

Madrid Magic

With plenty of international restaurants and amenities on your doorstep, this ground-floor apartment offers a stylish space for groups seeking a laid-back stay in Madrid. The contemporary living area has an open-plan layout that's great for casual itinerary planning. While the complimentary toiletries are a nice touch, having only one bathroom will mean waiting your turn. It's not the most centrally-located area. That said, two metro stations are within a ten-minute stroll from your door, and sights including the Royal Palace and city parks are easy to get to.

A Little Bit of Madrid

This petite studio apartment makes for a convenient base in Madrid. It’s not the most soulful of homes, but for a clean and comfortable place to rest your head in between seeing the city sights, we think it’s a good option. Two guests will be sleeping on a sofa bed in the living space, which means privacy and room are both limited – if you’re hoping to spread out, we think this home is better suited to a maximum of two guests. There’s a cosy balcony for sundowners, and you’ll also be conveniently close to Nueva Numancia metro station, which makes exploring the city as easy as can be.

Modern Tango

A six-minute stroll from the Nueva Numancia station, this minimalist apartment offers great public transport links for sightseers and commuters alike. Indoors, this home keeps things simple with its Scandinavian style, but climbing the stairs to the third floor won't work for everyone. That said, we think that the free toiletries and baby travel equipment offer a thoughtful touch to holidaymakers. Greenery awaits at the Real Jardin Botanico, and the Paseo del Prado Boulevard is a thirty-minute metro ride away.

The Spanish Sun

The historic Puente de Vallecas neighbourhood is full of character, with some of the city's best eateries, bars and shops and a famously gorgeous sunset. 
It's here you'll find this smart home for up to four guests, on the ground floor of a typical apartment building. Immaculate and well-equipped, it's been put together with simplicity in mind – with everything you could need so you can just move in and start living like a local. White walls and wood floors provide the canvas, onto which is splashed dashes of sophisticated colour and contemporary, Skandi-inspired furnishings. Cook at the kitchenette, eat at the pretty dining table and relax on the sofa. 
There's a comfortable bedroom and a stylish bathroom, making this a perfect base for a couple, a solo traveller or a small family, thanks to a useful sofa bed in the living room. Walk just a minute to the nearest station and you'll be able to explore all of this fabulous city in your own time.

Sunshine Blush

A calming neutral palette and stylish Japandi decor make this apartment in Madrid’s eclectic Puente de Vallecas neighbourhood a prime choice for those looking to get an authentic taste of the city. 

Whether you’re chilling out on the sofa and window-side chair with your morning coffee and a good book or gathering around the large dining table for a homemade tapas feast, you’ll love spending time in this chic, sunny main room.

Sitting within the Puente de Vallecas district of the Spanish capital, this apartment will appeal to those with a preference for stylish yet simple design.

Stark white walls and smart wooden floors are a timelessly chic combination and make for a blank canvas against which colourful furnishings and accent walls really stand out – not to mention a couple of towering house plants. The super-sleek kitchen is not only easy on the eye but also has enough surface space for whipping up family-sized feasts.

The local area is a little more residential than the city's more touristy areas, but Madrid's most famous sights aren't too far away, either. You can reach the southern side of the Parque de el Retiro – recently added to UNESCO's World Heritage list – in twenty minutes by bus, while the striking architecture of Gran Vía is only half an hour away on the metro.


Brighter Days

This simple Madrid home in the San Diego neighbourhood isn't the city's most exciting, but it does tick several key boxes for us. Nearby you'll find several parks, making it suitable if you're travelling with young ones. And while the nearest metro stations are a bit of a walk, there are several buses stopping close by that you can use to reach the city centre. Although this home can host four guests, it's a squeeze having the sofa bed out in the living area, and there isn't much natural light here. We think it's most suited to those who want to drop their bags and explore.
