Located right in the centre of Madrid within walking distance of its cultural treasures, this apartment is its own gallery of miscellaneous wonders perched high above the pavements. Starting from the fuzzy caterpillar-like chaise lounge in the living room that sets the eclectic glamorous tone, this home puts just about everything in the mix, from boldly patterned wallpaper and towering palm plants to the Asian dresser in the living area and the bright blue countertop. It's fair to say that we loved it. A small balcony in one of the bedrooms was the cherry on the cake and is perfect for when you want a blast of fresh air on a stuffy afternoon. If you want to head out exploring, Museo Nacional del Prado is just over ten minutes' walk away, while Palacio de Cristal in the middle of Parque de el Retiro takes around twenty-five.

Cornucopia

Nestled in the heart of Madrid, this stylish apartment couldn't be better placed for some fun in the city. The interiors boast plush furnishings, exposed brick and lots of natural sunlight, whilst outside you'll find a small but cosy terrace. Start the day with a home-cooked breakfast thanks to the contemporary kitchen, then tuck in alfresco with a cup of coffee before heading out to explore.

Step out of the front door and you'll be on the bustling streets of Madrid, within an easy distance of the area's main attractions. Soak up the city's cutting-edge culture with a tour of the Prado Museum, take a stroll around El Retiro Park and sample some of Spain's best restaurants right on your doorstep.

City Sunlight

Located in Atocha, this home will put you within walking distance of Madrid's famous sights–and we mean all of them. From Plaza Mayor to the Prado, you'll be surrounded by the best of Madrid whatever direction you head off to. Retro Baroque is an eclectic home that doesn't hide its eccentricities. Classical styles mix with transparent polymers in a bold attempt to create a contemporary look. It's not for everyone, but with luxurious touches and natural light, it's best suited for urban explorers seeking comfort after a long day.

This unique loft apartment is perfect for a family, a small group of friends, or two couples looking for a stylish and comfortable base in Madrid. It’s in a vibrant part of the city, close to restaurants and shops, and within walking distance of many of the key attractions – Plaza Mayor and the Prado Museum are less than twenty minutes away on foot. If you don’t feel like walking, hop on the metro at nearby Embajadores. The apartment is modern and attractive, equipped with everything needed for a city break. 

Luminous Loft

If you want to stay in a prestigious neighbourhood, how about this home in Salamanca? There are plenty of designer boutiques, art galleries and fine-dining restaurants to explore in the area. Naturally, you will hear some city noise here. This south-facing apartment is light and bright, and we love the Juliet balcony off the open-plan living room with its leafy Ayala Street views. There’s not much food preparation space in the kitchen, but that said, it’s well-equipped, and you can always let your host arrange for a private chef to cook some authentic tapas dishes.

Modern Hideaway

This cosy studio apartment makes for a pleasant base for a romantic visit to Madrid. There’s a handy kitchenette for whipping up light snacks, and a dining table that doubles up as a laptop-friendly workspace. There’s a petite balcony, ideal for sipping your morning coffee or for enjoying a glass of Spanish red before heading out to dinner. This apartment isn’t the most soulful space, but it’s a practical and comfortable base in the city. 

A Day In Madrid

Malasaña is famous for being slightly outrageous, which is probably why Queen of the Castle is in it. A tour of this home reveals a glamorous hybrid design theme that balances modern baroque-inspired pieces with jungle and safari themes – dear lovers of minimalism, you might want to stay elsewhere. But if gold-coated flora and fauna with an occasional crown-cum-skull ensemble sound like heaven to you, then you'll find Queen of the Castle an absolute delight. Not to mention that you'll be within walking distance to Puerta del Sol and the vibrant neighbourhood of Chueca. 

Queen of the Castle

Set within the heart of Madrid, this apartment is an ideal base for those looking to drop off their suitcases and head out to explore. It's a studio, so space is limited. We think it's best for couples or solo travellers, though a sofa bed could sleep an additional guest if needed. Locally, indulge in some tasty tapas, soak up some culture at the Prado Museum, or head to Plaza Mayor or Puerta del Sol for a true taste of Madrid. 

Sunflower's Embrace

This fantastic duplex apartment has an entrance next to Retiro Park, in a relatively quiet area of the bustling city. El Retiro translates as “Park of the Pleasant Retreat”, and this home offers exactly that. 

We would love to spend some time every day here strolling around the beautiful Retiro Park which used to belong to the Spanish Monarchy until it was opened up to the public to enjoy in the late nineteenth century. Wander through the green space, admiring the fountains and statues of Spaniards before taking a break in one of the open-air cafes. 

Hop on public transport to explore even more sights and attractions of Madrid, including the Plaza Mayor – reachable in twenty-nine minutes. Then, after a busy day, dine at one of the restaurants in the neighbourhood which are within a four-minute walk. Or, enjoy a tapas meal together at home before retiring to the sofa in the cosy living room nook with a glass of sangria.

Una Caminata en el Parque

Get immersed in all that the vibrant Spanish capital has to offer with a stay at this stylish apartment situated in the very heart of the city. This is an ideal place for a family or a small group of friends to base themselves and enjoy all the comforts of a luxurious pad while also having all of Madrid’s iconic sights within easy reach. 

Arrive to be welcomed by a luminous and elegant living room, with huge floor-to-ceiling windows leading straight onto the balcony. This space is filled with gorgeous pieces and unique touches we love, not least the striking wood beams separating the room in the middle. On the other side, you’ll find a dining table where you’ll be able to enjoy communal feasts. Putting together delicious meals will be a breeze thanks to the well-equipped kitchen. After supper, kick off your shoes and relax on the plush sofas in the company of your loved ones. 

For a night of rest and blissful sleep head over to the luxurious bedrooms – before you retreat to the land of sweet dreams, enjoy an indulgent bath in one of the spa-like bathrooms. We love the lovely art which creates a pattern running through the whole apartment, and the bathrooms are no exception. 

When the morning finds you refreshed and ready for a day of city exploring, you’ll be happy to know that you’re in the best possible place from which to reach all the landmarks of this magical city. Lose yourself in the rich art collection at the Prado Museum situated a ten-minute walk away and make the most out of the fantastic range of restaurants and bars in your area.
