This apartment can be found in the heart of the city, looking directly onto the Sagrado Corazon church. It’s stylish and quirky, with chic decor and some of the best views in town. Whether you’re cooking in the kitchen or taking a quick siesta, you’re surrounded by the view of church towers and picturesque rooftops. The crowning glory of this already wonderful penthouse is the terrace. A carefully landscaped space, this is where we’d be spending most of our time. The barbecue and dining table make it a haven for alfresco dining, with comfy sofas just calling out for cocktail hour. During the day, you can soak up the sunshine on the sun loungers, moving to the shade of an umbrella to sip lemonade when the Spanish sun gets too hot.

You're bound to hear some city noise here, but with such a great address as this, we think it's a small price to pay.

Take your pick from La Malagueta Beach, the Pompidou Museum, and the Plaza de Toros – it's all just a ten-minute walk from your door. While its central location is impressive, and the bustling street cafes below the apartment are handy, you can inevitably expect some street noise here. It's also worth noting that if six of you share, the last two guests will sleep on a sofa bed in the lounge. Not ideal for some, but for a bolthole this central, we think it's a keeper.

Behind the Green Shutters

Amid the buzz of central Málaga, this apartment brings a touch of calm to its historic location. From the minimal aesthetic to the open-plan design and small terrace, you’ll find everything you could need for a laid-back city stay. Complimentary toiletries are provided and children’s amenities can be arranged, plus laundry service is available on request. You may hear some street noise while you are here, but the location means easy access to local restaurants, shops and cafes. You’ll also find it’s just a short stroll to the Cathedral and Larios Street.

Located only a five-minute walk away from Malaga town centre, this bright home overlooking a vibrant street also has a view of the beautiful 15th century San Juan church. Seeing its baroque tower is reason enough to spend big chunks of time out on the balcony, but we’ll give you a couple more anyway. For one, romantic dinners could be had by candlelight as the stars come alive up above. The balcony also makes for a great reading spot for bookworms wanting to spend some time on their own with a freshly brewed coffee and a holiday romance novel. 

Come inside through the traditional Andalusian floor-to-ceiling doors to admire the exposed beams and vaulted ceilings as you sink into the sofa. Grab a bite in the compact kitchenette before handling a few work emails at the little workstation and head out after to explore the beautiful city. The Alcazaba fortress with lush gardens and a sea view is only a ten minute walk away. Stop off there for a backdrop to the perfect holiday group photos and head to the beach after for salty surf and sandy beaches.

Not only are historical sites, restaurants and beaches all within walking distance, but you're only a quick stroll from the 15th-century Santo Domingo de Guzman Church and some of Malaga’s most famous landmarks. The Interactive Music Museum and Picasso Museum can be reached within minutes, while the golden sands of Playa la Malagueta are just a little further – about a twenty-minute walk.

When you're not out exploring, unwind from the day's adventures in your Andalusian oasis. With the floor-to-ceiling doors open and the sun shining through, it's the definition of relaxation. Although the style is a picture of modernity, you can still spot some Spanish influences in the warm peachy hues and original tiled balconies. Our favourite room has to be the open living room –  you can cosy up on the dusty rose sofa with a glass of sangria and nibble on freshly prepared tapas amongst the Rothko-inspired artwork. And as evening comes around, settle on the balcony overlooking the charming streets below.

Nothing says ‘la dolce vita’ quite like this gorgeous home we found tucked away behind Calle Alcazabilla, one of the most well-known streets in Málaga. Whether you’re here to sightsee or simply escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life, you can’t do much better than this centrally located apartment, situated within easy reach of all the city’s major attractions. Soak up gorgeous views from the roof of Málaga Cathedral, put your art appraising skills to the test at the Picasso Museum, or sit back and relax at Malagueta Beach. Whatever your day has in store, this place has got you covered. 

When you’ve had your fill of being out and about, you’ll come home to a stunning apartment steeped in Malagan charm. Interior design fans will love the furniture choices here, not to mention the hydraulic mosaic flooring, an original design feature protected by the city’s Heritage Institution. This practical apartment is located in the heart of Malaga's historic centre, just a stone's throw away from tourist hotspots such as Calle Larios, Plaza de la Constitución, and the Picasso and Thyssen Museums. While it’s not the most characterful pad in our collection, a sofa bed in the living area offers flexible sleeping arrangements, and the Juliet balcony in the main bedroom is a nice touch too. The kitchenette is a little basic for our liking, but given the home’s stellar spot, you’ll find plenty of restaurants, bars and shops nearby, offering a true taste of Malagan living. 


A Bit of Sunrise

Relax in the sun with a glass of Cava on this home’s beautiful terrace with views of Málaga Cathedral – it’s the perfect spot to enjoy a chilled gazpacho as the sun sets. Inside, the apartment is designed in classic Spanish style blended with Scandinavian furniture. We love the stunning beamed, vaulted ceilings, chandeliers and exposed stone walls. The main bedroom’s sliding doors offer more of those lovely cathedral vistas and open onto the balcony.

With a fantastic location in central Málaga, the cathedral is a mere three-minute stroll, while the Plaza de la Constitucion is two minutes on foot. Or culture lovers can head to the Picasso Museum, a four-minute amble. For a day on the nearby golden sands, La Malagueta and La Caleta Beach are around a fifteen-minute walk.

Ideally situated in the heart of Malaga, this chic apartment is a great choice for those wanting to be in the thick of things. It’s just a short stroll from Malaga’s top sights, including the cathedral. You’ll also have your pick when it comes to restaurants and bars. The apartment itself is bright and modern, a comfortable home-from-home. At maximum occupancy, two guests will be sleeping on the sofa bed in the living room – if you’re hoping for more space for socialising, we recommend sticking to a guest count of four.

Though this home is located in Málaga’s historic centre, there’s nothing old-fashioned about this beautifully styled apartment. Modern, bright and distinctly chic with its contemporary decor and open-plan living area, this space is the perfect summation of laid-back Spanish living. We love how much light pours in from the large skylights that give way to views of Málaga Cathedral. Cosy up on the sofa with a glass of wine and gaze up at the stunning architecture dazzling before you. 

The two bedrooms, meanwhile, ate just as stylish with their bold pops of colour and comfortable beds. Factor in the pair of luxurious bathrooms, and you’ve got everything you need for a relaxing, carefree stay in the city. 

When it comes to sightseeing nearby, you’ve got plenty from which to choose. Visit the cathedral up close (200 metres away), tour the Alcazaba de Málaga (280 metres away) and sink your toes in the sand at Playa de la Malagueta (1.9 kilometres from your door).

And, on warm days, you can throw open the shutters and watch the street scenes below from the Juliet balconies. 

From here, you can stroll down to the beach and spend a day soaking up the sun on the sand. There's also plenty to keep culture fans busy, from the Picasso Museum to the imposing Catedral de la Encarnación de Málaga. And, you won't want to miss the Castillo de Gibralfaro, a ruined Moorish fort with spectacular views.

Located in the historic centre of Málaga, this stylish apartment places you in a prime spot for exploring the city. A short stroll from the Cathedral of Málaga, the Picasso Museum and the Thyssen Museum, you've got plenty to fill your days here. At home, it's bright and modern with Juliet balconies that open up the living area and invite the street sounds into the apartment. It's worth noting that two guests will be sleeping on a double sofa bed and you won’t find enough space for eight around the dining table. With that in mind, we recommend it for a maximum of six people.

For culture lovers, the city's cathedral is just a two-minute walk, while the Museo Picasso is also within walking distance. Plenty of restaurants, cafes and tapas bars are on your doorstep, too. If you prefer to eat in, this loft apartment has a well-equipped kitchen with views over the city's rooftops. We should mention that if you're a group of eight, two guests will be sleeping on a sofa bed in the living area. On the plus side, there's plenty of room in this spacious home to store all those new purchases.
