We're not exaggerating when we say this home is mere steps from the sea. The garden offers direct access to a rocky bathing area – not to mention sweeping views of the Bay of Alcudia – while a sandy beach is just a short walk down the coast. The design inside is contemporary, with zip-and-link beds creating flexible sleeping arrangements for families. And if the seafront location isn't enough, you'll find a panoramic seating area and a private swimming pool here, too – the perfect combination for fun in the sun.

The Edge of the Sea

This traditional Mediterranean-style villa is perched on a sloping hill, overlooking the sea, just moments away from the beach and the fishing village of Binibeca, with its cafes and restaurants. When it comes to a great location, it's hard to improve on this home, especially when you factor in the tranquillity you'll enjoy here. With a huge pool, an outdoor dining area and a bright, comfy interior, there’s everything here to guarantee a relaxing stay. 

Bright Like The Sun 

Surrounded by shady olive trees and a Mediterranean garden, this villa is a traditional house with plenty of charm. Inside, you may find some of the features a little dated, but the natural light is a big check. The outside space is definitely the highlight of this home – the terrace is perfect for sipping icy cocktails, the pool is ideal to cool off in, and the alfresco dining area is made for rustic feasts. Better still, Binibeca’s waterfront restaurants and golden sands are just steps away.

Across the Tiles

With marina views and modern decor, this bright apartment in the resort town of Portocolom is an ideal base for those looking for a slice of the Mallorcan good life. 

Slide open the open-plan living area’s glass doors and step out onto the private balcony – the ideal spot to enjoy your morning coffee or evening sundowner while watching the yachts sail in and out of the marina. This is also the ideal place to tuck into some homemade tapas treats cooked up in the sleek kitchen, or alternatively, gather around the living area’s dining table for a celebratory feast to the gentle sound of the waves just outside. 

The three pared-back bedrooms are wonderfully comfortable and the main bedroom gives you further access to the balcony. Factor in the luxurious bathrooms and you’ve got everything you need for a peaceful, relaxing stay. 

Outside of your home, walk along the seafront just outside and explore the many restaurants lining the water’s edge. You’re also a five-minute drive (or a twenty-five minute walk) from sandy Cala Marçal, while Arenal de Ases beach is a twenty-minute stroll from your door. 


Mediterranean Muse

This dreamy Finca is in a peaceful location surrounded by nature. Fringing the beautiful coastal town of Son Severa, it's the perfect base for exploring Majorca. Here, you'll fall in love with the island's natural beauty. Set on a verdant canvas of lush, landscaped gardens and bordered by shrubs and trees, this home guarantees privacy in a serene rural location. 

Inside, sunlight floods the space. Airy rooms boast tall ceilings with striking wooden beams, encompassing the rustic-chic design that runs throughout. We love the glorious, open-plan kitchen and lounge, adorned with artwork and ceramics. A large dining table sits in the heart of the space, beckoning you to gather here often for home-cooked feasts, lovingly prepared in the fully-equipped kitchen. With two bedrooms, each offering access to the garden via timber-framed double doors, there's space for four guests. From every room, underfloor heating ensures chilly nights are always cosy, while large windows offer stunning views of the lush surroundings.

In the mornings, step outside with your cup of coffee and soak up the soft early sunlight. Here, the swimming pool takes centre stage, offering a sparkling oasis from the Meditteranean heat. A shaded patio with an additional dining table adjoins the kitchen. When paired with the outdoor barbecue, it's the perfect spot for alfresco dining. If you can tear yourself away from this home, the golden sands of Platja des Port Vella and Bona Beach are less than a five-minute drive away.

Cariño

With stretching views over the bright Alcúdia Bay, this beachfront villa is situated on a rocky viewpoint by the water's edge. A mere ninety metres from the sandy beach of Cala Tonó, come and see how Colònia de Sant Pere is a hidden gem on the Mallorcan shoreline. Inland, hikers will love the Puig de Ferrutx and historians may wish to visit the Sa Clova d'es Xot.

Feel the sea breeze as you begin each morning out on your balcony, then make coffee in the kitchen and enjoy an alfresco breakfast beneath blue skies. We think the best way to relax here is by thumbing through a good book before cooling off in this plunge pool. For your afternoon siestas, you'll find peaceful bedrooms that have been designed in a coastal colour palette – so you can sleep soundly as the waves lap just outside. When you grow peckish, gather downstairs for a traditional dinner of frito mallorquín while you discuss tomorrow's plans.

The Edge of Water

If beachfront is what you're after, this Cala Ratjada villa certainly delivers. Offering direct access to the promenade from the garden, you'll be able to roll out of bed and stroll straight down to the sea – sounds dreamy, doesn't it? And don't get us started on the spectacular views. Whether you're barbecuing on the patio, swinging in the hammock, or lounging on the roof terrace, you'll have a front-row seat to watch the tide roll in. Rustic charm abounds in the living room, though some other spaces (especially the bathrooms) are a bit dated. That said, with easy access to Cala Ratjada's beach and restaurants, we don't think you'll mind.

Sun-Kissed Dream

Perched amongst the white rocky cliffs above the bay of Cala en Porter, you will be welcomed into this villa with open arms and breathtaking views. Designed for serene relaxation, dip into your private plunge pool for a little respite from the heat of the divine sun. Suitably refreshed, return to your sun lounger with a glass of bubbles in hand and your holiday read – although it may be a little hard to focus on the words on the page with those blue views stretching out before you. 

Inside is just as lovely, but, cleverly, doesn’t try to distract from the beauty outside the window. Modern and simplistic in decor, the homely feel comes from natural materials in the form of warming woods and stone features. Walk-in showers, bright bedrooms and private terraces overlooking the coast create a calming atmosphere for a restful night's sleep. In the morning, enjoy breakfast alfresco as you sip a coffee and absorb the fresh sea air. Also perfect for an evening meal, make use of your barbecue for a relaxed dinner with your loved ones watching the sunset turn to a starry night sky. 

Ideally located with bars and restaurants within walking distance, whenever you fancy a night off cooking you can indulge in the local cuisine with ease. This contemporary villa really is the perfect hub to enjoy the magnificence of Menorca.  

As Far as the Eye Can Sea

It’s the views that make this home special. It’s also just a ten-minute walk from Binibeca’s sandy beach with easy access to local restaurants and shops. The rooms are traditional and there’s no air conditioning, but your host can arrange cooling units for an additional fee. We recommend hiring a car to explore the beautiful beaches along the coast, but for those in search of total relaxation with no driving, you’ll find everything you could need on your doorstep. 


Sunny Vision

Bright and breezy, this modern villa sits in a prime spot on Mallorca's eastern coast. Just a short drive away lies Porto Cristo, with the rocky beaches of Cala Anguila and Cala Mendia also within easy reach. What initially caught our eye here were the sea views – best enjoyed from the terrace, balcony and two of the bedrooms – but we're equally impressed by the sleek interiors. Inside, there's plenty of space to spread out and unwind away from the island's endless sunshine. Although, if you ask us, the best spot of all to chill out is the small private pool, fitted with whirlpool jets for extra relaxation.

The Balearic Villa

Immersed in nature, this home has tranquillity running through its core. While the surrounding area and steep steps mean it's unsuitable for small children or guests with limited mobility, its elevated position treats you to views across Albufera de Grau Nature Park. Sun-drenched terraces and a private pool make the most of those vistas and here, alfresco dining is a must. Locally, sink into authentic Menorcan life with a visit to Subadia Farm to pick up some fresh produce or try your hand at cheese making.

Balearic Comfort

Sat in the middle of a 740-acre site in the north of Mallorca, this stone finca is blessed with dreamy views of Mont Farrutx and the Mediterranean Sea beyond. Given the colossal size of the grounds, there are plenty of spots from which you can enjoy this vista and a welcome lack of neighbours or passers-by to disturb you.

Despite this wide choice of vantage points, we're willing to bet that the majority of time will be spent splashing about in the swimming pool, catching some rays on the surrounding loungers or enjoying barbecued feasts while sitting underneath the towering palm trees.

The interior of the home is traditional in style, with period features, such as the wooden ceiling beams and exposed stone walls, complemented by an impressive collection of antique furnishings and large framed artwork. The dining table positioned underneath an opulent chandelier is sure to add a sense of occasion to indoor mealtimes, too.

As you can probably guess from the sea view, there's a fantastic selection of beaches nearby, including Platja de Son Serra de Marina only thirteen minutes' drive away. The charming fishing village of Colònia de Sant Pere is ten minutes away in the car too for when you're after bars and restaurants.
