This villa is everything we want from a place in the southeast of Mallorca. Step-free access and three downstairs bedrooms mean it’s suitable for those with limited mobility, while the upstairs bedroom has its own en-suite and balcony – perfect for those who’d like some privacy. You’ll notice holiday knick-knacks dotted about, which may not be to everyone’s taste, but we think they’re charming. It’s the outside space that really steals the show – we couldn’t get enough of the private pool and summer kitchen. Most importantly, there’s a sandy beach 700 metres away and Caló del Moro is easily reached by car.

And while its old stone walls and wooden beams are just as they were, the home's refreshed interiors are ready to be the blank canvas for you to create your own memories. Spread across different wings, separate buildings, three floors and endless rooms, this place has thought of pretty much everything. Fun and games can be found in the dedicated games room, dinner can seemingly take place in a different dining room each night, and several of the bedrooms gaze out over the ocean. Speaking of bedrooms, with twenty to choose from, and a maximum capacity of forty guests, you're bound to find the right one for you. The cellars double up as event spaces, with moody backlighting and a team who can bring the place to life. The team are also on hand if you want to organise an outside party, with different packages available. For those who fancy the DIY approach, two barbecues are ready for evening feasts. After dinner, let the views from the rooftop terrace do the entertaining with drinks as the sun sets over the ocean.

This charming beach house offers a nice getaway for a group of friends or family. It has a fully-equipped kitchen, a nice open-plan living area, three bedrooms and a sofa bed. The bedrooms are on the small side and some spaces lack a bit of thoughtful design, but its location makes up for it. Built on the rocks of Cala Santanyí, it has gorgeous views of the bay and a nice rooftop terrace to enjoy some Mediterranean sunshine. Restaurants and shops are within walking distance, or you can try out some new water-sports.

We think you'll want a car here to get the most out of your stay – one of the island's picturesque coves is just a short walk from your doorstep, while the colourful town of Santanyí is just a short drive away with its local restaurants and weekly markets.

Outside of your home, walk along the seafront just outside and explore the many restaurants lining the water’s edge. You’re also a five-minute drive (or a twenty-five minute walk) from sandy Cala Marçal, while Arenal de Ases beach is a twenty-minute stroll from your door.

With some homes it's hard to know where to start, but with this place in Cala d'Or there's a very obvious beginning point. The beach. Set so close to the gorgeous Cala Petita that all you have to do is stroll down the garden path and step out of the gate to feel the warm sand between toes, it overlooks this pretty little inlet – the crystal-clear water constantly tempting you from below. With one of the best beach views we've seen, this beautiful spot is one of our favourites. 

Screened from its neighbours by lush hedges and fragrant pine trees, you'll feel tucked away here, with a fabulous view from the private terrace. The home itself is as pretty as a picture, with green shutters and a traditional covered porch. Inside, high ceilings, all-white walls and plenty of curves and arches provide the backdrop, while comfy, stylish furnishings and nautical artwork make for a homey feel. The living room is dominated by a gorgeous fireplace and there's a covered dining space with huge doors opening to the sunny terrace. Cooking at home will be a pleasure in the well kitted-out kitchen, but it's just a few minutes' walk to the nearby shops and restaurants.

Perfect for a family or a great choice for a multigenerational stay, two rooms are well suited to children, with enough bathrooms to prevent any queues for the shower. And if you're the kind of person who likes to begin the day with a swim, nothing could be more invigorating than a sea dip before breakfast.

Nestled on the outskirts of Portocolom, this apartment is 500 metres from Arenal dets Ases beach. Restaurants, shops, and bars are a bit further – you'll need to hop in the car, but they're just a short drive away. Alongside the communal pool, the private garden and balcony are ideal for chilling out, Spanish style. It's on the first floor, so prepare to climb some stairs, and since it's part of an apartment complex, you're likely to hear and see your neighbours. For a family getaway in Mallorca, it's a good choice.

As for location, this might be the golfer's dream, with Vall D’or golf course only meters away. The nearest village, Portocolom, with fishing boats, barges and a lighthouse, is less than a five-minute drive away, and you'll also find the blue flag beach of Cala Marcal nearby.

This breathtakingly beautiful villa is the perfect place to call home during a trip to the south of Mallorca. Just a few minutes away from the water's edge, in the town of Cala d'Or, it's ideal for groups of friends or families who want to embrace island life. 

The traditional white exterior gives way to a gorgeous, tranquil living space. With plenty of comfy sofas and a collection of local artworks, it's a true sanctuary where you can kick back and relax. Outside, there's a grassy area where the kids can play, and a sparkling swimming pool that invites you to take a refreshing dip after a sunbathing session. When you get hungry you can fire up the grill, and serve up a delicious feast outside on the patio as the sun goes down. 

A five-minute walk will bring you to Playa Cala Gran, a sandy cove where you can snorkel or even rent a little paddle boat. Nature lovers can visit Parc natural de Mondragó to hike through the gorgeous landscapes and even do some birdwatching. And, if a dose of culture is more your kind of thing, then the capital city of Palma is under an hour away, where you'll find plenty of fascinating history.

Located on the outskirts of Cala d'Or, this functional villa is an ideal base for discovering Mallorca’s southeast coast. While the interiors could do with a refresh, the place is plenty comfortable and well-appointed. We think most of your time will be spent outside in a sunny spot by the pool or in the shade of the furnished terrace. If you need to pick up bits for the barbecue, there’s a supermarket a five-minute walk away. Most importantly, you’re around a fifteen-minute walk from Petita Beach.

Start your mornings with a glass of jugo de naranja on the sun-bathed balcony as you admire the incredible views stretching out to the ocean. When you need a moment of shade, why not sit back with a good book on the comfortable outdoor seating under the shaded pergola?

In the evening, sliding doors connect the kitchen to a small porch with a dining table creating the perfect area to enjoy a meal of Spanish tapas. It’s also just a ten-minute walk to the restaurants, bars and shops of Cala D’Or, with golf courses and beautiful coves within driving distance. Your host can also arrange airport transfers – a great option for those in search of total relaxation without needing to drive. The rooms are basic and the outdoor space may not be suitable for those with reduced mobility, but the location is ideal for those looking to spend their days adventuring along the coast.

And, with the sights of Palma just a forty-minute drive away, there's plenty to keep you occupied here.

Building this home was the realisation of a life-long dream for the owner, whose family worked the land for generations – you can tell a lot of love has been poured into the villa. It’s a comfortable and welcoming home, ideal for families. We love the outside space, with a private pool, open and covered terraces, and incredible panoramic views of the rolling countryside surrounding the home. You can even spot the Tramuntana mountains in the distance. The nearest beach is around fifteen minutes away by car, so we recommend hiring a car.

Of course, a trip to Mallorca wouldn’t be complete without a day at the beach and you have a handful within easy reach – the popular Es Trenc is only a ten-minute drive away. Diving aficionados should take a boat trip out to Cabrera and explore the Blue Cave, while those who’d prefer to take it easy can sip glasses of sangria in the waterside bars of Colònia de Sant Jordi.

The seaside town of Sa Ràpita is one of Mallorca’s gems. The pace is slightly slower than in nearby Palma – only forty minutes down the road – but there’s still plenty to keep you entertained.
