During the day, sunlight constantly pours in through floor-to-ceiling windows, and panoramic vistas are the home's artwork. Inside, you won't miss the high-end finish to every room, and we love the freestanding bath tubs and private sunset terraces to two of the bedrooms. 

The real showstopper here is the pool. The very definition of an infinity edge, it seems to merge with the sky and the sea. And what could be better than hopping in the elevator for pre-dinner drinks in the private sky bar on the the incredible 360-degree roof terrace? 

Within walking distance, or just a short drive away, you'll find Talamanca Beach and some of the island's top restaurants. You’re just five minutes from Ibiza Town, so hedonist nights and chilled out days by the pool are what this villa is all about.

There's no denying that The White Isle is a gorgeous destination, and this villa is pretty easy on the eyes. Built with the traditional Ibiza style in mind, the exterior is white as sugar against the rich green of the surrounding countryside and panoramic vistas of the Morna Valley. Indoors is all about living in luxury, with plush king-size beds and glossy en-suites in each bedroom as well as an open-plan living space that honours the breezy style fincas are known for. 

That said, you'll likely spend most of your time in the garden, basking in the endless sunshine. There's a glittering pool where you can enjoy afternoon swims and midnight dips under the stars and so many sun-kissed lounging areas it's hard to know where to start. We can easily picture ourselves lounging on the daybed with a good book, sipping sangria before dinner in the covered dining area and whipping up tapas in the summer kitchen to enjoy as the sun goes down – sounds pretty dreamy, if we do say so ourselves.

While this is a quiet rural location, you're just a ten-minute drive from Santa Eulalia and twenty minutes from Ibiza Town. Explore the island's beaches and secret coves by day – our favourites are Aigües Blanques and Cala de Sant Vicent, both twenty minutes by car – and enjoy the lively atmosphere by night. If you’re keen to get out and explore, head into the heart of Ibiza town for the Portal de ses Taules, Dalt Vila and the Puget Museum. If a beach day is on the cards, make a beeline for Playa de Talamanca – it’s only a short car ride away.

You might not feel the need to stray too far from this white-washed palace of a villa (it even has a stone tower) as the numerous terraces and decks are draped with hammocks and furnished with sprawling day beds and sofas big enough for ten. There’s a pool and a tennis court should you fancy something more active. With the option to have full-time staff during your stay and a pre-arrival food and drinks service, you can jump right into living that good Ibizan life at your leisure. Cool tiled floors and fresh colours adorn the inside spaces. The villa may be palatial in size, but there’s a down-to-earth boho feel from the Balinese furnishings, raw wood finishes and stone sinks and showers. The professional kitchen is at the heart of the villa (you can hire a chef), opening up onto the terrace where dinner can be served at the long outdoor table overlooking the hills. Barbecues become so much more than a rustic cook-out with the full outdoor kitchen and bar. Inside, a sunken, circular seating area at the base of the stone tower makes for the perfect cinema room. If you manage to bag the master suite a free-standing tub, luxurious hammam-style shower and huge yoga terrace beyond the glass doors ensure a spa-like escape.

The interior perfectly blends old and new – we're big fans of how the stone accents stand out on the white-washed walls. This light, bright finca makes an ideal Ibizan retreat. Set within seven acres of forest, ancient trees surround you as you while away the day on a sunny poolside lounger. Kids can frolic on the lawn or splash in the heated saltwater pool. Cool off in the outdoor shower before firing up the barbecue in the evening for dinner under the stars. Interiors have an eclectic yet unmistakably Ibizan feel; books adorn the shelves and trendy, interesting art hangs on every wall. The kitchen is well kitted out, but there are chefs available for hire if cooking’s not your thing. Head to the lounge to chill in front of the Apple TV. Bedroom-wise, all are excellent options – but bag yourself the top-floor master bedroom with en-suite and private roof terrace if you can. Your closest beach is Santa Eulalia (5 km), where the sea is calm and clear blue. The shops and cafes of Ibiza Town are a short drive away. With a home like this though, you’d be forgiven for opting to stay in. 

Forest Retreat

A world away from the clubs and bars of the White Island, this charming villa is perfect for those looking for more than a little relaxation on their holiday. Hidden away in the rural interior, this 200-year-old finca boasts character and modernity in equal measure – and yes, those are the original juniper wood beams in the living space. There's a distinctly ethnic feel to the furnishings here, with carved elephants and wall hangings blending with high-tech, modern styling and the traditional stone floors and white walls. But we think the best part about this place is the idyllic garden. Take a dip in the pool, sunbathe on the vast lawns, or grab a book and get cosy in the shaded hammock, surrounded by mature palms and cheerful blooms. You could spend all day in this oasis, but for those looking for culture, drive to nearby Santa Gertrudis. This bohemian haven – dubbed 'the Notting Hill of Ibiza' – is full of galleries, restaurants and artisan shops. If the coast is more your thing, it's just a ten-minute drive to Santa Eulalia and the beaches of the south coast. As the sun goes down, gather for an alfresco meal on the terrace, choosing your favourite chill-out playlist on the sound system.

With views across the Mediterranean towards the unmistakable silhouette of Ibiza Town and architecture that fuses the natural landscape with sleek modern designs – this home is a dream from start to finish. 

On entry, guests are immediately greeted by the rock feature staircase that follows the cliff face up to generous bedrooms with terrace access. Downstairs, the living space is entirely open plan. Every inch is drenched in sunlight, courtesy of the vast windows. A sleek, contemporary kitchen flows into a casual living space and onto a sweeping terrace. And the vistas speak for themselves – we can’t decide which is more spectacular, the view from the infinity pool or the luxurious Jacuzzi bathtub in the main en-suite. 

When you’re not relaxing on sun loungers or sharing tapas around the alfresco dining table, the golden sands of Talamanca beach are just a short walk away. Afternoons should be spent in the illustrious Ibiza town – you’re only a twelve-minute drive from stylish bars, seafood restaurants and cafes in picture-perfect settings.

Finished in a rather fetching shade of salmon and overlooked by verdant hillsides, this villa may look rather impressive in the background of your photos, but, more importantly, it has everything you need for an unforgettable Ibizan getaway.

It's immediately pretty clear where the bulk of your afternoons will be spent – switching your time between the cooling waters of the swimming pool, the loungers on the terrace and the alfresco dining table on the verandah. There's even a balcony up on the first floor that makes for a fabulous spot to catch the sunset.

Inside, the living quarters receive a wonderful amount of natural light from the floor-to-ceiling glass doors dotted around the walls and this flows about the open layout. There's a simplicity to the interior design that verges on minimalist, which really works with the vast amount of space that's found behind the four walls.

When it comes to getting to know Ibiza a little better, the restaurants and nightlife of the island's main town can be reached in around five minutes' drive, while the nearest beach is even closer than that – the golden sands of Talamanca are two minutes' drive away.

Just take in the vistas across Talamanca and the Mediterranean Sea to Dalt Vila from this modern villa. There’s a south-facing infinity pool and numerous terraces – we particularly love the roof terrace with its sky bar and the 360-degree views (there’s an internal lift that connects the three floors). The outlook from the inside is fantastic too, especially from the open-plan living area and the two main bedrooms with their freestanding baths. The location in Can Pep Simo is great as well – you’ll be a short walk from the golden sands of Talamanca Beach, while Ibiza Town is an eight-minute drive.

Ibizan Modern

Love is in the air, and not just because it's spelled out around the pool. High up in the hills and looking down over the sea, you'll instantly fall in love with this sparkling white palace. 

Set in an exclusive gated community, with Ibiza Town's vibrant centre for its playground, this place is a lesson in chic minimalist design. Lounge in the luxury of a Balinese sun bed or sink into the inviting waters of the pool, keeping your glasses full thanks to an outdoor bar. 

With the optional extras of breakfast service and private chefs, you don't need to lift a finger while you concentrate on the matter in hand – relaxation. 

Everything here is dominated by the view by day, but at night the pool area comes to life with an LED multicolour system, which you can tailor to suit your mood.

Inside, the large round salon – with arched windows, curved sofas and fireplace – is the ideal spot to gather for dinner and drinks. Affording incredible views and lit by the orange hues of sunset, it's the perfect hosting space.

Rather fittingly for a villa in a location known as the White Isle, that colour does play a pretty large role in the interior design. Stark walls, ceilings and floor, plus dazzling furnishings, make for an angelic ambience and a blank canvas against which the sparse selection of black furnishings really stand out.

With so much effort put into the interior, it can almost feel like a shame that you'll be spending so much time outdoors here. The infinity swimming pool and adjoining hot tub are as sleek as they are refreshing and offer beautiful views of the Mediterranean Sea. You can also gaze out at this vista from the terrace, complete with a stylish pergola in case you're ever in need of a little shade.

There are a couple of other features that really impressed us. For starters, the private gym will help you keep up your fitness regimen while you're away from home, but there's also a home cinema set-up and games equipment on the side terrace if you want to keep things laid-back. We're also fond of the elegant freestanding bathtub in the master bedroom, positioned right next to the floor-to-ceiling windows and ripe for sunset-watching.

As if that wasn't enough, the location is pretty excellent, too. Although the bright lights and excitement of Ibiza Town are mere minutes away in the car, there's a peaceful feel to the immediate area around the home and direct access to a crowd-free cove from which you can go swimming.

It’s the jaw-dropping sea views that steal the show at this bright Ibizan apartment. You can’t get much closer to the waves that lap the rocky shore below. Inside, it has everything you need for a comfortable stay and both bedrooms come with stunning sea views. There's a traditional feel, with white walls, beamed ceilings and terracotta floors, and we love the shaded balcony with arches framing the view. The excellent dining scene of bustling Ibiza Town is just a fifteen-minute walk away and it’s a ten-minute walk from lively Playa d´en Bossa beach.
