In the heart of the Ibizan countryside (rather than California) you’ll be looking at olive groves and lemon trees – idyllic views to die for. We can picture ourselves luxuriating in the sophisticated living room, with its clean, contemporary lines and five-star ambiance, or reclined on one of the sun loungers by the sparkling pool. With a huge private garden to roam and en suites to all the bedrooms, it’s an ideal space to holiday with your tribe. While away the hours with a book by the pool, taking breaks from the sun in the outdoor lounge area with its typically Iberian rock walls and slatted roof. If you can tear yourself away from your Ibiza uber-pad, Santa Eulalia del Río’s powder-white beach is just down the road, and Ibiza Town is a mere ten-minute drive away. Rather fittingly for a villa in a location known as the White Isle, that colour does play a pretty large role in the interior design. Stark walls, ceilings and floor, plus dazzling furnishings, make for an angelic ambience and a blank canvas against which the sparse selection of black furnishings really stand out.

With so much effort put into the interior, it can almost feel like a shame that you'll be spending so much time outdoors here. The infinity swimming pool and adjoining hot tub are as sleek as they are refreshing and offer beautiful views of the Mediterranean Sea. You can also gaze out at this vista from the terrace, complete with a stylish pergola in case you're ever in need of a little shade.

There are a couple of other features that really impressed us. For starters, the private gym will help you keep up your fitness regimen while you're away from home, but there's also a home cinema set-up and games equipment on the side terrace if you want to keep things laid-back. We're also fond of the elegant freestanding bathtub in the master bedroom, positioned right next to the floor-to-ceiling windows and ripe for sunset-watching.

As if that wasn't enough, the location is pretty excellent, too. Although the bright lights and excitement of Ibiza Town are mere minutes away in the car, there's a peaceful feel to the immediate area around the home and direct access to a crowd-free cove from which you can go swimming.

Set just a five-minute drive from buzzy Ibiza Town, and within walking distance of Talamanca's beach bars and golden sands, you’re never far from the action. Not that you’d know it, lounging around the blissfully quiet pool framed by lush gardens and swaying hammocks back at home. A great pick for a multi-generational family stay, bedrooms with en-suites are set apart over three levels for a little extra privacy. Although good luck deciding who lucks out on that top-floor bedroom suite with a private terrace and panoramic sea vistas.

The location in Can Pep Simo is great as well – you’ll be a short walk from the golden sands of Talamanca Beach, while Ibiza Town is an eight-minute drive.
