Alternatively, you'll have easy access to scenic hiking routes in every direction of your doorstep.

More than three hundred years old, this historic home comes complete with characterful original features, including stone walls and original wood beams. Simply light the log burner to create a cosy atmosphere in your bright living room, and whip up a Balearic breakfast in this elegant kitchen. Set against the dramatic hillside, you'll want to dip your toes in this infinity pool before enjoying casual picnics on the lawn. Out by the old olive tree, perhaps you'll find that your patio is the perfect place for making plans with your family over a cocktail or two. 

 Three Hundred Years Hence

Overlooking Port de Pollença, this home is a contemporary island sanctuary with stunning views. Outside, you can soak it all in from the private pool or while lounging on the balcony. There’s a garage with ping pong for family fun and the rooms are perfect for social gatherings and quiet time. You can leave the car at home and stroll to the beach. It’s also just a short walk to restaurants and bars, while Cap De Formentor and Alcudia are both within easy driving distance.

While this villa's enviable location on Mallorca's sun-soaked eastern coast is undoubtedly a bonus, the stunning gardens are the star of the show. From the patio doors, you can step directly into the expansive infinity pool – simultaneously soaking up mountain and sea views – while the wrap-around terrace offers plenty of spots for drinks in the sun under the swaying palms. Compared to the outdoor space, the interiors are relatively simple, but avid chefs will love having a large kitchen at their disposal, and the outdoor dining table, complete with speakers, is the perfect setting for a Spanish feast. Not to mention, Cala Millor is just a ten-minute drive away.

Palm Serenity

Situated at the foot of the tallest massif in the eastern mountain chain of the Serres de Llevant, Massís d’Artà, this countryside villa invites guests to unplug, unwind and reconnect with nature from the moment they arrive. With scenic pines, evergreen carobs and holm oaks surrounding the property, enjoy tranquil moments amidst the Mediterranean fauna and flora that fragrances the air. With a private pool, bright traditional living space and a spectacular view of the surrounding landscape, this Mallorcan paradise ticks all the boxes for a calming retreat.

Within twenty minutes, you can reach some of Mallorca's most beautiful beaches along Alcúdia Bay. The town of Artà is well worth a visit with its gothic churches and the Sant Salvador fortress, just eight minutes by car.

With a plethora of beaches, hiking trails, watersports and golf on offer nearby, you’ll never be short of things to do here – that’s if you can tear yourself away from the villa, which to be honest, we think could be tricky. With sparkling sea views, sun-drenched terraces and not one, but two pools (indoors and outdoors), this beautiful villa is more than enough to keep you entertained. For those fitness enthusiasts, there’s even an on-site gym – and for those who prefer a slower pace of life, the hot tub, gazing out at the vistas, will be right up your street. 

The Crystal View

We're not exaggerating when we say this home is mere steps from the sea. The garden offers direct access to a rocky bathing area – not to mention sweeping views of the Bay of Alcudia – while a sandy beach is just a short walk down the coast. The design inside is contemporary, with zip-and-link beds creating flexible sleeping arrangements for families. And if the seafront location isn't enough, you'll find a panoramic seating area and a private swimming pool here, too – the perfect combination for fun in the sun.

The Edge of the Sea

Festooned with tumbling bougainvillea and glowing from top-to-toe in crisp white, this recently renovated home is everything you want your Mallorcan retreat to be. And locations don't get much better either. You can be swimming off the sandy shores of Cala Millor or mooching along its seafront promenade bustling with restaurants and bars in just an eight-minute stroll.

Though you might find all you need back at home. Perfectly geared to alfresco living, sunny mornings call for lazy breakfasts on one of the two furnished outdoor terraces before a cool dip in the pool. And if you think the garden looks pretty now – wait till you see the festoon lights flicker on at night. It's a magical place to spend evenings with sundowners and a barbecue.

When it's time to beat the heat, there are heaps of activities to keep everyone happy indoors. A games cabinet stacked with toys and a games console should keep the kids (and big kids) busy or crash out with a movie in the cosy living area. 

Well suited for friends or family sharing – bedrooms are spaced out over two floors to give guests that extra bit of privacy and united by the same pared-back and calming palette. We don't know about you, but it all sounds pretty dreamy to us.

In the Night Garden

Escape the crowds with a stay at this stylish townhouse perched in the medieval hill town of Artà, and just an eighteen-minute drive from the dazzling coast.

This soulful town has bags of charm and heaps of style to boot. Mooch about Artà's bustling traditional weekly market. Rummage in the local antique stores. Or find yourself a sunny spot at one of the many street cafes for lazy lunches and a spot of people watching – it's all just moments from your door.

When it's time to up the ante, you're in the right spot – the northeast is prime territory for hiking, cycling, horse riding, and bird-watching. Or pack up your bucket and spades and hit the beach – you'll be there in less than twenty minutes.

Back at home, this place had us on those shady verandas alone. But wait till you see the icy-blue pool in the inner courtyard garden.

Inside, the interiors glow from top-to-toe in crisp white. And there's no knick-knacks here – just pristine, uncluttered spaces.

Friends or families holidaying together will love how private the bedrooms feel, spread out across two floors. Though prepare for a tussle for that top floor suite leading out to the terrace – it's dreamy.

Heart of Artà

Perfect for a family or group of friends, this achingly gorgeous villa offers plenty of outside space to sprawl out, unwind and bask in the Alcúdia sun. The biggest draw is, of course, the private swimming pool, complete with poolside sun loungers and pretty trees providing dappled shade. Table tennis will keep the kids entertained, while grown-ups sit back and relax with a glass of wine at the outside bar area, fitted with a brick-built fireplace. Later, gather the group as you nibble tasty tapas in the beautiful covered dining area. 

Stepping inside, you'll find wooden ceiling beams and stone archways that keep things reassuringly rustic. There's a homey feel in the blue colour scheme and stylish furnishings that will soon have you feeling at ease, while the modern kitchen will make breakfast a breeze.

When it's time to head out, pack your seaside essentials and hit the beach – you're a short stroll from Bonaire's sandy beaches and sparkling marina. There's a selection of fine dining restaurants and bars dotted along the waterfront to seek out.
