This home has a great location, not only is it 100 metres from Plaza Mayor in the town of Consell with its shops, bars and restaurants, but the traditional town of Binissalem, in Mallorca’s wine-growing region is a five-minute drive. The island's beautiful capital is also within easy reach – it’s just a fifteen-minute ride. After all that sightseeing, you can return home to this comfy abode, with its swimming pool and views over the area from its balcony. If any members of your group have limited mobility – there’s a ground-floor bedroom with a bathroom too.

Whip up a sumptuous Mediterranean feast in the modern kitchen, and then round up everyone for a lazy meal in one of the numerous indoor and outdoor dining areas. Later you can burn the calories with a game of tennis or basketball, followed by a cooling dip in the pool. In part of the gardens you'll be greeted by the resident flock of sheep – feed them a few stalks of grass and they’ll love you to bits.

We love this home's private courtyard garden with its high sunkissed stone walls and sparkling pool. Recline on a sun lounger or enjoy a glass of wine as you get stuck into your holiday read. Use the juicer in the kitchen to make a refreshing drink and get comfy on the sofa before heading out.

Situated in the centre of the village of Binissalem, you'll find a restaurant 100 metres away, while the bus and rail stations are 200 metres and 300 metres, respectively. If you want to visit the white sandy beach of Puerto Alcudia, it's around 30 kilometres away. It's the same distance to the beautiful S'Albufera Muro nature park and 21 kilometres from the Golf Puntiro course.

It’s far from the hustle and bustle of the major resorts, so you can really focus on spending quality time together. 

It’s set on a large plot of land, with trees and shrubs providing privacy and adding to the lush setting. The pool is big enough for you to have a proper swim each morning before the kids take over, splashing about and jumping in. Happily, there’s also a children’s playground, so the little ones will have plenty to keep them entertained – they’ll drift off to sleep each night feeling sun-kissed and content. 

We love the kitchen and dining space at this villa. There’s a barbecue outside, and a kitchen that leads right to the terrace. Open up the doors to blend the indoor and outdoor spaces – grill seafood and meat from the market on the barbecue while you’re whipping up paella and salads in the kitchen. Settle down for a feast accompanied by local wine, and toast your decision to return again next year.

This lovely villa in Mallorca provides a perfectly tranquil and peaceful escape with amazing views of the forest from your private pool and from the balcony terrace. We would love to start each morning here with a breakfast of café con leche and churros as we admire the view in the early sunshine. Then, of course, take a swim in the cooling waters of the pool and dry off as you lounge in the sun. 

The home is located near Binissalem, a Mallorcan village that is well known for its wine production. There are many wine cellars in the area, so why not go for a wine tasting which can be reached by car within nine minutes? In Binissalem you will also find plenty of other amenities including, supermarkets, bars, and restaurants. 

You can play a round of golf at the course that is just a twenty-five-minute drive away or have a competitive game of paintball – a six-minute drive away from your door. If shopping is more your style, head to the Mallorca Fashion Outlet, which can be reached in seventeen minutes by car. 

If you want to explore the island’s culture and heritage, then there is plenty of that not far from this home. An eighteen-minute drive will get you to Alaró Castle, a ruined fortress in the hills that has existed since 902. Drive fifty-two minutes from this home and you can reach, Salt d’es Freu waterfalls to admire nature’s stunning creation, or explore Port de Pollença – a thirty-four-minute drive away. 

For days on the sandy beach, drive twenty-seven minutes to Puerto d’Alcúdia. Or drive twenty-nine minutes to Palma and see the gothic cathedral, old town, wander the sands of the bay of Palma, or even enjoy the nightlife.

Known as the wine capital of Mallorca, Binissalem has some of the best vineyards on the island, not to mention plenty in the way of art, culture, nature and gastronomy. On entering the lively town, you’ll notice the abundance of historic stone facades, and your new home is no exception. 
 
Positioned around a postcard-perfect courtyard, this low-rise home has a ‘shoes off’ feel with large terracotta tiles, beamed ceilings, white walls and beautifully built archways. Touches of colour add extra character to the interior, like the tiled dining table with its sea-green bucket seats and the vibrant paintings depicting island life.

Tucked away between Binissalem and Sencelles, this Mallorcan estate is a splendid base for a rural retreat. It’s in the heart of the island’s wine region, surrounded by vineyards – a wonderful area for cycling. There are beaches within a twenty-minute drive, too. The villa itself boasts manicured gardens filled with palm trees and a huge swimming pool. We love the covered terrace and the barbecue, perfect for alfresco meals. There’s plenty of room for everyone to gather together inside and out, making this a superb choice for families and friends.

There's an extraordinary feel to this place just outside the pretty town of Sencelles. In Mallorca's rural heartland, it's surrounded by farming country and sits in its own vast grounds with fruit trees, lawns and huge palms. Overlooking the fields, you'll be in tune with the land and totally switched off from modern life's stresses and strains.

This finca dates back to around 1890. Built from local stone and using traditional tiles, fireplaces and beamed ceilings, it's a stylish blend of rustic features and contemporary (think dark wood furniture and shuttered windows alongside modern steel and glass). A local architect has taken this old farmhouse and given it new life – without losing any of the atmosphere.

Your living space flows naturally on the ground floor, with a stunning seating area with a window wall to one side and exposed stone walls to the other. Stylish, comfy sofas provide a perfect indoor retreat to sit and chat, while the indoor dining table is just steps from the sleek, all-white kitchen. Two of the bedrooms open to the garden, while a steel staircase leads up to the others.

But this home's real star power comes in the form of an immense outdoor pool. Measuring more than 1000sq ft, it's been built using the existing base of an old farm building and uses several repurposed architectural features. It's pretty impressive if we say so ourselves.

As you'd expect, there's no shortage of secret outdoor seating spots and places to read under a tree in total seclusion. You'll also have a large covered terrace with a table and a barbecue. And here's a quirky little addition: if you thought the walk downstairs to the pool was too long from the main bedroom, the architect has installed some exterior metal steps so it only takes a moment.

Nearby, explore Sencelles and the surrounding villages, head off on hikes and bike rides, visit the local historic sites or drive to the coast for a day by the sea. Thanks to its location in the centre of the island, it's easy to get around by car.
