This little rural apartment is here to provide the perfect stay for a couple or small family. Surrounded by nature, animals, and rural gardens, you'll be in for a treat during your stay. Go for a dip in the pool or relax on one of the sun loungers, or take advantage of the barbecue available and dine alfresco under the hot Mallorca sunshine. Indoors the large glass doors and light colours make the spaces feel big and airy, letting in natural light and providing a comfortable and intimate space to rest your head after a long day.

Although the pool facilities are shared, you won't have to worry about things getting busy – there are only two small apartments in this building, so you'll still be able to enjoy the secluded nature of the stunning location with its views of the surrounding mountain landscapes, without having to worry about crowds or too much noise. There is a weekly market in the nearby town of Sineu, and larger cities reachable a short drive away can provide you with anything you might need, as well as local cuisine and family activities to entertain everyone.

It’s hard to believe that this beautiful home was so recently a dilapidated ruin. The owners, who fell in love with the centuries-old farmhouse and saw its potential, have lovingly restored it. It sits within more than four hectares of land in the Llubi countryside, at the heart of Sa Part Forana, and is one of the most breath-taking holiday homes in the area. 

The history of the home has been respected, so you’ll find heaps of charm and original features – we love the beams and exposed stone walls. In keeping with traditional Mallorcan values, you’ll also find lots of areas for you to gather together as a family, whether it’s at the dining table, around the wood-burning stove, or in the alfresco dining area. After spending your mornings swimming in the refreshingly cool swimming pool, why not fire up the barbecue for a lunchtime feast? Sit together late into the afternoon, sipping local wine and making memories – this is what holidays are all about. 

The old farmhouse courtyard surrounds the garden, and the shaded porch is the perfect place to get lost in a good book. 

Though you’ll find it hard to tear yourself away from this dreamy home, you might want to explore further afield. It takes twelve minutes to drive to nearby Inca, where you can shop for supplies or simply sit in a plaza drinking coffee and watching the world go by. The picturesque settlement of Valldemossa is forty-one minutes away by car, making it perfect for day trips.

There's an extraordinary feel to this place just outside the pretty town of Sencelles. In Mallorca's rural heartland, it's surrounded by farming country and sits in its own vast grounds with fruit trees, lawns and huge palms. Overlooking the fields, you'll be in tune with the land and totally switched off from modern life's stresses and strains.

This finca dates back to around 1890. Built from local stone and using traditional tiles, fireplaces and beamed ceilings, it's a stylish blend of rustic features and contemporary (think dark wood furniture and shuttered windows alongside modern steel and glass). A local architect has taken this old farmhouse and given it new life – without losing any of the atmosphere.

Your living space flows naturally on the ground floor, with a stunning seating area with a window wall to one side and exposed stone walls to the other. Stylish, comfy sofas provide a perfect indoor retreat to sit and chat, while the indoor dining table is just steps from the sleek, all-white kitchen. Two of the bedrooms open to the garden, while a steel staircase leads up to the others.

But this home's real star power comes in the form of an immense outdoor pool. Measuring more than 1000sq ft, it's been built using the existing base of an old farm building and uses several repurposed architectural features. It's pretty impressive if we say so ourselves.

As you'd expect, there's no shortage of secret outdoor seating spots and places to read under a tree in total seclusion. You'll also have a large covered terrace with a table and a barbecue. And here's a quirky little addition: if you thought the walk downstairs to the pool was too long from the main bedroom, the architect has installed some exterior metal steps so it only takes a moment.

Nearby, explore Sencelles and the surrounding villages, head off on hikes and bike rides, visit the local historic sites or drive to the coast for a day by the sea. Thanks to its location in the centre of the island, it's easy to get around by car.

It's an easy drive down to Alcudia Bay, but why would you need to when you can sunbathe and swim at home? Then again, the stylish and modern kitchen may be a treat when you're in the mood to cook up a storm, but there's nothing quite like trying something new in a local restaurant, especially by the sandy beaches and glittering sea. Golf lovers will be within easy reach of courses, and you'll easily spend hours exploring the nearby towns, popping into every traditional shop and looking in the windows of every cafe. Kids will love the nearby beaches and it's well worth exploring the local area. But at this home, you'll know that a day in isn't a day wasted.

From the Buddha statues welcoming you at the door to the beach-vibey ratan ceiling in the living area, this beautiful villa creates an instantly soothing impression with plenty of relaxation in store. 

Its lush green garden is a veritable paradise of colour with plenty of shaded and sunny spots in which to rest. The large pergola invites alfresco breakfasts and starlit barbecue feasts around its table while the pool beckons long afternoons soaking up the Spanish rays before cooling off for some reading beneath the parasol. 

On cooler evenings, snuggle up by the wood-burning fire with a glass of wine and gather around the dining table for a homemade meal. Finish the night with a soak in the main bedroom’s en-suite tub before retiring to bed for a serene night’s sleep. 

When it comes to exploring the local area, the town of Inca is a fifteen-minute drive away, while charming Llubí is five minutes away by car. If a day at the beach is in order, drive just over twenty minutes to C'an Picafort or visit Alcúdia with its medieval walls, just under thirty minutes away by car.

It's also conveniently close to the motorway with handy transport links that will have you in Palma city centre in around thirty minutes.

You'll find this delightful home just a seven-minute drive from Inca, tucked away in picturesque pastures of olive groves. Here, nature takes centre stage. An emerald lawn primed to perfection forms the grounds of this home, while a border of towering palms and lush foliage guarantees privacy. We love the large private pool, with crystalline waters providing an oasis from the Balearic sun. You'll love spending time here, enjoying a refreshing swim before sun-bathing poolside on one of the many lounge chairs. If you fancy a beach day, the soft white sands of Playa de Alcúdia are less than thirty minutes away by car. 

Spread out across two separate units, this home is ideal for large groups. You'll find the open plan kitchen and dining room by the pool, where sunlight streams through large windows, creating an inviting gathering place. Cook up a feast on the rustic pizza oven and outdoor barbecue and dine alfresco on the sun-drenched patio. Inside the second building, you'll find the lounge and sleeping quarters. After a busy day exploring, retreat here for cosy evenings around the wood-burning fire.

Rest and reset at this traditional Finca nestled deep in Mallorca’s agricultural heartland fringing the town of Costitx.

Inside, it’s all exposed stone walls, vaulted timber ceilings, and cool, tiled floors – just as a Mallorcan farmhouse should be.

But it’s outside around the poolside that’s getting us really hot under the collar. Beat the heat with dips in the pool or sneak away to a shady nook for a siesta – the hammock would be a fine place to start.

When it comes to the evenings, take your pick for spaces to dine and recline. Rustle up drinks for sundowners together in the outdoor lounge area. Fire up the barbecue and feast beneath the sail awnings. Or take things inside to host a glamourous dinner party around the dining table.

Away from this luxurious villa, there’s plenty nearby to explore. Jump in the car and head to weekly markets at Costitx (a five-minute drive) and a little further, Sineu, to stock up on local produce – with a pitstop to the nearby vineyards to pick up some local wines. 

And when the sea finally beckons, take your pick from the northern, eastern, and southern beaches, which are almost equidistant from the home. Our vote goes to Es Capellans (less than a half-an-hour drive away) – we hear the beach bars perched right on the sands do the best paella around.

This recently renovated 19th-century finca is the Mallorcan dream. Take in the vistas of the golden fields of Sant Joan from the terrace while you lounge by the emerald green pool. Later in the day, relax in the hammock, then enjoy a barbecue at sunset as the old mellow stone walls radiate their heat. Inside, we love the traditional features, such as exposed stone, wooden beams and terracotta tiled floors. 

If you fancy exploring, the town of Sant Joan is a five-minute drive, while the long, white sandy beach of Playa de Muro, popular with families, is just over thirty minutes in the car. Stylish Palma, on the other hand, is just over a forty-minute ride away, where you'll find an array of fine-dining spots and cool art galleries, as well as its honey-coloured Gothic cathedral.


Emerald Waters

Surrounded by countryside in the town of Sencelles, this rustic villa guarantees a restful break for a family or group of friends. Outside, there are multiple terraces, as well as a private swimming pool. Head inside, and you’ll find plenty of space for the whole group to feel comfortable, and the kitchen is fully-equipped if you plan on cooking at home. In terms of sleeping arrangements, two of the bedrooms are interconnecting, which could be a great option for couples with young children.

Nestled in the middle of Mallorca, this charming finca awaits in the traditional town of Llubí – home to historic windmills and storybook streets. Amid the countryside, you'll find plenty of walking trails and cycle paths to get you out among nature like a local. If you plan to stay here during November, you can even enjoy La Fira de la Mel – the popular honey fair celebrated every third Sunday of the month.

Inside this stone-built villa, you'll open blue shutters each morning before heading down into a cosy lounge, complete with twin rocking chairs and an old-fashioned fireplace. In the leafy garden, there are several seating areas tucked away. We can just imagine you sipping on refreshing horchata de chufa after swimming lengths in your private pool. Or, why not escape the midday sunshine in this outdoor living area, where you can make plans for the coming days? Perhaps you'll end the evening with a barbecue supper at sunset.

Rustic Soul

Unwind under blue skies and Balearic sun. This villa is set in the peaceful town of Inca, away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Spend your days by the pool, have lunch at one of the two outdoor dining tables, and while away the afternoons lazily lounging on the terrace. There's plenty to do at this home, and you may not want to leave your peaceful oasis, but if you want a taste of Mallorca, get into your car and take the half–hour drive to the rugged coastline, where sweeping cliffs and white–sand beaches await.

When you're not basking in the blue skies and fresh air at home, you'll be well-placed to explore the island. Head 3km to the nearby town of Inca for charming eateries, boutiques selling locally-made leather goods and cosy cafes. Need a bit more buzz? Palma isn't fa – about a half-hour drive – and promises plenty of chic restaurants and lively nightlife. And, of course, you can't visit Mallorca without spending a day or two a the beach – our favourites are Port d'Alcúdia and Playa del Muro, both easily reached by car.

In Halcyon

Sometimes you want to get away from it all, and sometimes it’s nice to be in town. This classic beauty of a Mallorcan villa offers both, sitting on a quiet street, 150 metres from the centre of Llubí. In the heart of town, you’ll find tree-lined streets leading to squares crowned with ancient churches. Pavement cafés spill into the street and bakeries and cafés provide traditional breakfast options. It’s in the heart of the Mallorcan hills, so cyclists will be particularly pleased with the location (there are bike racks in the garage too).

Heading back to the villa, you can unwind with a float about in the swimming pool, or perhaps indulge in a long, lazy dinner in the shade at the outdoor dining table. From here, you can admire the honey-brown stonework adorned with dazzling modern art by the Moorish wooden doors. Take your pre-dinner drink on the plush terrace sofas and enjoy the last of the evening sun. 

Inside, the villa is sleek and sophisticated with touches of old-world charm. Marble columns and the grand marble staircase caught our eye the second we walked in, and hand-carved wooden bedframes feel like they have Moorish roots. There are two living rooms to choose from – one with a plush, tufted sofa and the other with a delightfully retro suite. Every corner of this 200-year-old Finca delivers pure Mallorcan charm. Outside there are elegantly furnished terraces (so many, we've lost count) to soak up the vistas of the rolling countryside and mountains beyond. And inside, cool terracotta tiles, wooden beams, and antique treasures bring all the hacienda vibes. 

Sunny mornings call for coffee and lazy breakfasts on the terrace, then follow the meandering paths leading to an impressive saltwater pool for a cooling dip. Hugged by established gardens brimming with lemon and orange groves (G&T, anyone?), it would be impossible not to relax here. And when it's time to beat the heat, even on the hottest of summer days, inside the house feels cool and breezy with the shutters and windows flung open. 

Should you ever be convinced to leave this luxurious home, you'll find the handsome rural town of Algaida, with its wander-worthy narrow streets and authentic eateries, less than a ten-minute drive away. And a little further, the mighty Palma and the white sands of Illetas Beach (a twenty-minute drive).

Situated within the small town of Llubí, this villa was simply made for long sunny afternoons. Out in the back garden, the swimming pool is a welcome spot in which to cool off from the Mediterranean heat and you can dry off on one of the neighbouring loungers or on the terrace's table. As an added bonus, there's also a balcony on which you can take a seat and gaze out over the island's treetops.

The home's large glass doors bring plenty of sunshine inside the home and this natural asset is accentuated by the bright white walls and shiny wood flooring. There's a minimalist approach to furnishing and decoration, which has been executed really rather well. A big perk we have to mention is the private gym, which gives you no excuse not to keep up with your fitness regimen on your travels.

A short walk from the house, you'll find a small choice of restaurants and shops, but you'll find more in larger towns nearby, including Sineu and Inca. When it comes to outdoor excursions, you have two options – explore the hills and hiking routes in Mallorca's interior or drive over to the beach. Of course, you could simply stay put and enjoy the peace and quiet that comes with this villa's tranquil location.

Nestled in the island's wine region, you'll be staying adjacent to a large vineyard. As for fresh-air hangouts at home, the outdoor living space centres around the pool. But we also love the dining options on the roof terrace, promising views of the Serra de Tramuntana. Take your siestas inside a 19th-century finca, retaining its rustic character. Little ones are looked after thanks to the baby cot and high chair provided. Fancy a drive? Nearby country towns offer heaps of Mallorcan charm.

La Fluja

Right in the heart of Llubi where you’re surrounded by a variety of restaurants, this home not only has the foodie’s needs at heart, but beach lovers will delight in knowing the ocean lies only 17 km away. 

When you’re not out sampling the local cuisine or spending your days in the surf and sand of Playa del Muro, you can find peaceful refuge between this villa’s four walls. Although, some might argue that the tranquillity can actually be found outside where the terrace overlooks rolling hills and the verdant green of native foliage. Spend days on the sun lounger, peeking out over the top of whichever book you’re reading to see the horizon. When it gets a little too hot, take a dip, swimming out to the edge of the pool so you never lose sight of the landscape.
