Inside, it’s all you’d expect from a finca – there are high beamed ceilings, exposed stonework, and antique furnishings. The estate is located just a ten to fifteen-minute drive from Pollença with its array of restaurants, bars and boutiques. There are plenty of paths meandering through the countryside as well as cycling trails and a golf course nearby. The sandy beaches such as Port de Pollença, Bahia d'Alcúdia and Cala San Vicenç are also around fifteen minutes in the car.

If this home’s gorgeous surroundings don’t pique your interest, we’re not sure what will. Sitting among lush citrus groves and boasting sweeping views of the Tramuntana Mountains, this place has ‘rural escape’ written all over it. That’s not to say it’s totally out of the way though – the village of Búger is within easy reach, not to mention some of the island’s best beaches are just a twenty-minute drive away. Of course, not everyone will love the traditional design features here, but even if they’re not your cup of tea, there's plenty else to like.

From the moment we pulled up outside and saw the setting, we were in love with this gorgeous stone-built home with its mesmerising views over the Mediterranean. Relax on the comfy L-shaped sofa in the stylish living room and drink them in or head to the mezzanine sitting room. Our favourite spot is the Eames-style rocking chair in the bedroom with its lovely beams. 

Outdoors is beautiful, too, and wonderfully private and secluded, thanks to its warm stone walls. Cook up a Mallorcan feast in the outdoor kitchen and enjoy it on the shaded terrace surrounded by cacti and potted palms. Then laze on the sunbeds in the Balearic sun – that's our kind of holiday. This place is absolutely perfect for families.

The location is great too – the charming town of Port de Pollença, with its restaurants and shops, as well as the fine sandy beach, is just three minutes by car, while Can Cullerassa Beach, used mainly by locals, is under 50 metres away.

The Meaning of Life

Nestled in the heart of Sa Pobla, this smart townhouse is a wonderful place to spend a holiday. With plenty of space both inside and outside, and high stone walls providing ample privacy, you'll feel right at home here in no time at all. 

Huge windows flood the living space with natural light, and the open-plan set-up makes it easy to socialise with your guests as you cook, eat, and relax. However, we think you'll want to spend most of your time outside enjoying the balmy weather. Start your day with coffee on the balcony, before stretching out on a sun lounger to catch some rays. Swim a few laps in the pool when you want to cool off, and come evening the whole group can gather for a grilled feast hot off the barbeque. 

Sa Pobla is home to some lovely restaurants serving up local favourites, and there's also a weekly market where you can pick up fresh produce. Culture fans will be delighted to find a modern art museum in the town, while golfers can practice their swing on the local course, just eleven kilometres away. And, if you fancy a day at the beach then take a fifteen-minute drive over to Platja de Muro for a day on the golden sand.

Set in the heart of lovely Pollença, a short stroll from the main square, with restaurants and bars, you’ll find this traditional townhouse. Despite its central location, there’s a large garden with a Jacuzzi and an alfresco dining area with built-in barbecue and shaded areas to escape the Mallorcan sun if you wish. Inside, two bedrooms are situated in the main part of the house, while there’s an annexe on the top floor, accessed via a separate flight of steps, with a twin bedroom, kitchenette and a bathroom. From this space, there’s a terrace too, with views over the rooftops to the Puig de Maria.

A traditional and beautiful home just a short walk from the old town of Pollença, this place is versatile too, thanks to its two separate units. Perfect for two families sharing or a multigenerational holiday, there are there bedrooms in the main house and a separate two-bed apartment on the floor beneath with its own facilities. 
Here, the order of the day is relaxation. With terraces, table tennis, a private pool and a large field for games. Set in more than an acre of private grounds, you'll be tucked away in your own personal slice of paradise. Inside, it's typical Spanish style through and through, with terracotta floors, stone walls and arched doorways. There's a practical family kitchen in the main house and a smaller version in the apartment, with plenty of bathrooms and cool, characterful bedrooms.

Step outside and you will be blown away by the landscape: verdant rolling fields and vineyards are set against a mountainous backdrop, while the villa itself is surrounded by trees and native plant life. The owners even have their own vineyard where you can pick your own grapes. The vast pool surrounded by a checkerboard deck and plenty of sun loungers is the perfect place to while away the hours. After a ferocious ping pong tournament, settle in for al fresco lunch, or drive six minutes into Pollensa town, where there are plenty of excellent restaurants, and a market every Sunday selling food, clothes, and local wares. 

The beach is not far either, with Cala sa Vicente Pollença reachable in ten minutes by car. For the more intrepid explorers, there are nearby hiking routes, taking you through lush scenery. Come evening, fire up the barbecue and admire the sunset over the mountains in your private paradise.
