And while its old stone walls and wooden beams are just as they were, the home's refreshed interiors are ready to be the blank canvas for you to create your own memories. Inside, there's plenty of space to spread out and unwind away from the island's endless sunshine. Although, if you ask us, the best spot of all to chill out is the small private pool, fitted with whirlpool jets for extra relaxation.

Situated in southeast Mallorca, this villa is a twenty-minute drive from Cala Petita Beach and less than fifteen minutes from Felantix town. When you’re not exploring the island, we think you’ll be cooling off in the private pool, dining on Mallorcan delicacies in the sunshine or relaxing with a glass of something chilled. The interiors are traditional, and as this is a lived-in home, you’ll notice some signs of wear and tear, though everything functions as it should. Plus, two living area means there’s plenty of room for a group of eight to feel at ease.

Nestled on the outskirts of Portocolom, this apartment is 500 metres from Arenal dets Ases beach. Restaurants, shops, and bars are a bit further – you'll need to hop in the car, but they're just a short drive away. Alongside the communal pool, the private garden and balcony are ideal for chilling out, Spanish style. It's on the first floor, so prepare to climb some stairs, and since it's part of an apartment complex, you're likely to hear and see your neighbours. For a family getaway in Mallorca, it's a good choice.

This 250-year-old rural villa is tucked away in Mallorca's lush countryside. The remote surroundings mean you'll have plenty of privacy, but it comes with one downside – the nearest town, restaurant, and beach are only reachable by car. But, seeing as there's private parking here, that shouldn’t be a problem. Besides, the outdoor terraces and private pool are perfect for relaxing in the sunshine, and with a bundle of bedrooms, space won’t be an issue. This is a charmingly old home, so expect some wear and tear inside and out. That said, if traditional character and seclusion are what you're after, this could fit the bill nicely.

Set on a huge private estate amid the rolling hills of Vall de s'Horta, the setting may be rural but the feel here is sophisticated and luxurious. 

Spend the morning lounging by the pool, savouring those unbelievable views, and in the afternoon head to the terrace for an alfresco lunch – all those citrus trees, ancient olive orchards and almond groves serve as a reminder of the excellent produce at your fingertips. If you’re feeling active, there are plenty of walking paths nearby, lined with wildflowers and herbs. 

Here you'll be just a ten-minute drive from the beautiful beach at Portocolom. After a day of island adventures, retreat inside, where exposed stone, dark wood furnishings and a neutral colour palette blend perfectly with the natural surroundings.

Building this home was the realisation of a life-long dream for the owner, whose family worked the land for generations – you can tell a lot of love has been poured into the villa. It’s a comfortable and welcoming home, ideal for families. We love the outside space, with a private pool, open and covered terraces, and incredible panoramic views of the rolling countryside surrounding the home. You can even spot the Tramuntana mountains in the distance. The nearest beach is around fifteen minutes away by car, so we recommend hiring a car.

While there are still a lot of traditional features here, including exposed wooden beams, stone walls and open fireplaces, the home has been brought up-to-date with contemporary en-suites and a picturesque swimming pool. The garden has lots of shady spots to escape from the sun and a large table for alfresco dining. Your host can even arrange a private chef to cook for you if you want an evening of complete relaxation. When you're ready to venture out, Manacor is an easy 5-kilometre drive. The beach is a little further, about 14 kilometres away.

Start your mornings here with a café con leche at the kitchen’s breakfast bar or take your fresh jugo de naranja outside and enjoy it in comfort on the pergola-shaded terrace.
