Bright and open, this Palma home isn’t just a gorgeous haven for beach lovers, it’s also a portal to some of the most beautiful hiking trails. Explore this Balearic island by enjoying sun-drenched beach days on Platja de Can Cap de Bou, or by walking scenic routes like Camí Boquer and Vall de Bóquer. 

Back home, you can bask in the sun by claiming a sun lounger and spending the day between tanning and dipping into the private pool to cool down. Stay hydrated with an ice-cold drink and read a holiday romance novel from under the brim of a floppy hat. 

Dine alfresco in the loggia and head around the front of the house to find a comfortable spot in which to enjoy evening drinks and nibbles. Most of the bedrooms lead out onto the balcony, so enjoy sunrises and fresh air out there as you nurse cups of coffee. 

Inside, you can fling the doors open to let fresh air into this amply lit space – spend lazy evenings watching movies or playing board games here, nipping to the kitchen every now and again to top up your drinks.

Tucked away on the outskirts of Alcúdia, this charming villa is just what the doctor ordered. From its beautiful, beamed ceilings to authentic, shuttered windows, there’s nothing not to love about this home’s rustic interior. In fact, we could easily see ourselves spending all day unwinding here, sipping a refreshing glass of wine and gazing out at the town’s terracotta rooftops from the cosy, first-floor sitting room. 

As much as we love the inside space though, it’s the exterior here that really caught our eye. Boasting a secluded patio area complete with private plunge pool, it’s the perfect place to relax with your fellow guests, offering plenty of room to socialise as a group. Gather around the dining table for a starlit evening meal or indulge in a late-night swim before heading back inside for a good night’s rest in your air-conditioned bedroom. What’s not to like? 

Palm Trees & Church Bells

Perfect for a family or group of friends, this achingly gorgeous villa offers plenty of outside space to sprawl out, unwind and bask in the Alcúdia sun. The biggest draw is, of course, the private swimming pool, complete with poolside sun loungers and pretty trees providing dappled shade. Table tennis will keep the kids entertained, while grown-ups sit back and relax with a glass of wine at the outside bar area, fitted with a brick-built fireplace. Later, gather the group as you nibble tasty tapas in the beautiful covered dining area. 

Stepping inside, you'll find wooden ceiling beams and stone archways that keep things reassuringly rustic. There's a homey feel in the blue colour scheme and stylish furnishings that will soon have you feeling at ease, while the modern kitchen will make breakfast a breeze.

When it's time to head out, pack your seaside essentials and hit the beach – you're a short stroll from Bonaire's sandy beaches and sparkling marina. There's a selection of fine dining restaurants and bars dotted along the waterfront to seek out.

You’re also a ten-minute drive from Alcúdia’s historic centre, while the scenic Cap de Formentor Lighthouse is forty-five minutes away by car.

We absolutely love how the host has decorated – original features such as wooden beam ceilings and exposed brickwork come together with modern lighting and contemporary furniture, to make the home feel fresh and modern while still retaining the Spanish character that makes it so special. Here, you’re just a few minutes’ walk from the beach, where you can enjoy a cocktail in a sun lounger or try your hand at some water sports – there are also tons of lovely restaurants and cafes in this charming seaside town, based just a stone’s throw away from your lovely accommodation.

We reckon there’s no better way to start your day than by cooking up some crepes in your Spanish country kitchen and eating together around your quaint kitchen dining set. Rest on the comfy sofa while you discuss your daily itinerary. Head outside to find your covered terrace, complete with a dining set and places to lounge on hot summery days. Cook up some Spanish tortilla in the kitchen while you gaze out at the palm trees lining your street. In the evenings, fire up the barbecue to grill Spanish sausages, and take a bottle of champagne to your terrace area to enjoy sipping on as the sun sets.

Child-friendly amenities are available on request, plus there is a covered terrace and barbecue – perfect for balmy evening meals.
