This beautiful modern villa is situated in the heart of Muro, Mallorca, and enjoys majestic views of the surrounding mountains. Traditional on the outside, yet sleek and modern on the inside, you'll easily get the most out of your holiday at this gorgeous home. Whether you're going for a float in the clear blue waters of the pool or waking up to the bright sunshine streaming through the windows, that holiday feeling will follow you wherever you go. Step into the Jacuzzi and let the bubbling water relax your muscles, or play a game of football with the kids with the goals that make a small pitch in the garden. If football isn't your thing, why not go for a round of table tennis once everyone's finished a hearty supper under the covered terrace? Whether you prefer to cook a feast in the fully-equipped kitchen indoors or on the barbecue outside, that's up to you.

You'll be perfectly placed to explore Muro and the surrounding areas – you'll want to have a car with you for ease of getting around, but once you do you won't be driving long. You're only a short drive from Can Picafort and Alcudia Bay, or the beautiful Playa del Muro, which is one of Spain's longest beaches. Enjoy the clean, shallow waters and fine golden sands, making it the perfect beach for a family day out. And of course, there's no shortage of restaurants and bars lining the beach, or parasols and sunbeds available for hire while you're there.

Balearic Blessing

Dreaming of blue skies, endless sunshine and coastal breezes? This villa outside Pollença promises plenty of opportunities to sit back, relax and soak up the Mallorcan atmosphere. The pool is the perfect place to cool off and relax, whether you like to swim in the morning rays or at night under the stars. Mealtimes are best enjoyed on the terrace – there's even a grill if you're in the mood for a good old-fashioned barbecue – and nothing beats soaking in the hot tub with a glass of wine at the end of the evening.

But it's not just the outside spaces that tick our boxes. Stylish, sleek interiors are bathed in light all day, and the open-plan layout is ideal for mingling with the whole group. Plus, this home has everything you'll need – you'll find table tennis and trampoline outdoors, lavish rainfall showers in the bathrooms and laptop-friendly desks if you need to catch up on work. 

When you're ready to explore, you're just a short drive from the sandy beaches in Port de Pollença and Port d'Alcudia. Also within striking distance are the restaurants, cafes and shops in Pollença's old town – about a ten-minute drive away – while Palma is about thirty minutes by car if you crave a bit more buzz.

Sing the Glory

Sometimes you want to get away from it all, and sometimes it’s nice to be in town. This classic beauty of a Mallorcan villa offers both, sitting on a quiet street, 150 metres from the centre of Llubí. In the heart of town, you’ll find tree-lined streets leading to squares crowned with ancient churches. Pavement cafés spill into the street and bakeries and cafés provide traditional breakfast options. It’s in the heart of the Mallorcan hills, so cyclists will be particularly pleased with the location (there are bike racks in the garage too).

Heading back to the villa, you can unwind with a float about in the swimming pool, or perhaps indulge in a long, lazy dinner in the shade at the outdoor dining table. From here, you can admire the honey-brown stonework adorned with dazzling modern art by the Moorish wooden doors. Take your pre-dinner drink on the plush terrace sofas and enjoy the last of the evening sun. 

Inside, the villa is sleek and sophisticated with touches of old-world charm. Marble columns and the grand marble staircase caught our eye the second we walked in, and hand-carved wooden bedframes feel like they have Moorish roots. There are two living rooms to choose from – one with a plush, tufted sofa and the other with a delightfully retro suite. Our favourite spot might have to be the second terrace, shaded by a sail-like parasol and lined with balustrades.

The Red Jersey

Halfway between Palma and Port d'Alcúdia, this rustic villa is a quintessentially Mallorcan escape. You'll appreciate the peace and quiet that comes with the rural setting, and the mountain views in the distance make a postcard-worthy backdrop for your holidays.

The inside is warm and inviting – there's a roomy living area, comfortable bedrooms and even a ping-pong table. But, with the shining sun and blue skies waiting outside, you'll surely spend your days outdoors. In the mornings, pad out to the terrace and enjoy a cup of coffee on the cosy outdoor sofas and bask in the fresh air. Make your way down to the sun-drenched garden for an afternoon spent swimming in the private pool, snoozing on the lounge chairs and snacking on grilled meals whipped up on the barbecue. Come evening, gather around the alfresco dining table for a Spanish feast as the stars come out – it's the perfect excuse to open a bottle of wine and toast your getaway. 

Location-wise, you're just a stone's throw from Inca, Mallorca's third-largest town. Known for its leather-making workshop, wine cellars housing local restaurants, and weekly market, it's a charming village that has all you need. Fancy a day trip? Buzzing Palma is about a twenty-five-minute drive away, or if you're keen on the sea, Port d'Alcúdia and the island's northern beaches are about half an hour by car. 

Sunset & Evening Star

One glance at the exterior of this rural Mallorcan finca and you'll fall in love with the rustic character. Tan-coloured stone, clay roof, terracotta tiles – it's as traditional as they come. Step inside, however, and you'll find contemporary living spaces and all the mod-cons you'll need. Glossy as a bright red apple, the kitchen is well-stocked for dishing up whatever strikes your fancy. The leather sofa is the perfect spot to kick back after a walk through the countryside, and two comfortable bedrooms promise a restful night's sleep.

But if you're anything like us, you'll want to spend all your time outside enjoying the gorgeous weather. Cool off from the Spanish sun with a swim in the pool, floating the day away underneath the clear blue skies. Later on, sprawl out on the lounge chairs with a cocktail or two, followed by a snooze in the late afternoon rays. When twilight rolls around, gather the whole group around the outdoor dining table and tuck into a barbecued dinner as the stars twinkle above you.

When you're ready for adventure, make the 15km drive to the sandy beaches in Port d'Alcudia. Not only is it a hotspot for sunbathing and swimming in the sea, but you'll find be spoilt for choice when it comes to restaurants, bars and boutiques. 

Twilight Tapestry 

Modern minimalism meets classic charm at this stylish apartment, based in the heart of Campanet in Mallorca. You’ll be perfectly located for easy access to the stunning Campanet Caves, as well as just a short drive from the gorgeous coastline, where you can find clear blue sea and pure white sand.

We love this home’s interior design – the colour scheme invokes a real sense of calm, with neutral colours and natural wooden tones running through each room, paired with contemporary and chic furniture.
 
This townhouse offers all the space and amenities you need for a holiday of pure relaxation. You’ll find a private pool in your garden – a rare facility to find in a home for just four people – where you can enjoy a refreshing dip when the heat turns up. Your outdoor space also features a barbecue where you can grill up some Spanish meats and veggies to eat on your alfresco dining set. Inside, you’ll find a modern kitchen where you can cook up tasty Spanish breakfasts, and there’s a cosy lounge area where you can curl up with a glass of wine in the evenings.


Balearic Dreams

Sit back, relax and soak up the sunshine at this stylish villa on the outskirts of Santa Margalida. Inside, the design merges traditional Mallorcan character with all the contemporary comforts you'll want on holiday – including a soaker bath in the main en-suite and a movie-night projector. The saltwater swimming pool is the main attraction, but the covered lounge area promises long, lazy afternoons in the dappled rays. Upstairs, the balcony shows off the views of the mountains and coast – perfect for watching the sunset. Better still is the location – Can Picafort's long, sandy beach and seafront restaurants are just 10 kilometres away. 

The Palms of the Sun

For those in search of an easy-going coastal escape, this minimalist home delivers a practical solution. It’s just a short stroll from Son Bauló beach (500 metres away), and you’ll find shops and restaurants close by. We suggest hiring a car to explore the beautiful beaches further along the coast – Port d'Alcúdia and Playa de Muro are less than a twenty-minute drive away. Your host can also help arrange car rentals, as well as nice extras like private chefs and spa treatments. There are steps leading down to the terrace and pool, so children will need to be supervised here but overall there’s plenty of space to stretch out and spend quality time together. 

Sea of Simplicity 

Situated in central Mallorca, this countryside villa is perfectly placed amid an expanse of green farmland. Just 900 metres away, you'll stumble across the hilltop town of Maria de la Salut – why not sample the native Ramellet tomato during its annual August night fair? Not only that, this area of the island is rich with hiking trails and cycle paths, so you can truly immerse yourself in nature.

Drive up to a traditional finca and put your feet up beneath the arched ceilings of this stone-built sanctuary – a perfect escape from the midday sun. In your open-plan living space, the large kitchen invites you to cook some Balearic cuisine for your family, but we imagine that you'll adore dining alfresco. Several steps down from this shady pergola, perhaps the barbecue station will tempt you into a sunset supper. With lovely landscape views, who wouldn't want to sunbathe by the plunge pool? Just don't forget to stay cool with a glass of horchata de chufa.

I Tumble Homeward

It’s hard to believe that this beautiful home was so recently a dilapidated ruin. The owners, who fell in love with the centuries-old farmhouse and saw its potential, have lovingly restored it. It sits within more than four hectares of land in the Llubi countryside, at the heart of Sa Part Forana, and is one of the most breath-taking holiday homes in the area. 

The history of the home has been respected, so you’ll find heaps of charm and original features – we love the beams and exposed stone walls. In keeping with traditional Mallorcan values, you’ll also find lots of areas for you to gather together as a family, whether it’s at the dining table, around the wood-burning stove, or in the alfresco dining area. After spending your mornings swimming in the refreshingly cool swimming pool, why not fire up the barbecue for a lunchtime feast? Sit together late into the afternoon, sipping local wine and making memories – this is what holidays are all about. 

The old farmhouse courtyard surrounds the garden, and the shaded porch is the perfect place to get lost in a good book. 

Though you’ll find it hard to tear yourself away from this dreamy home, you might want to explore further afield. It takes twelve minutes to drive to nearby Inca, where you can shop for supplies or simply sit in a plaza drinking coffee and watching the world go by. The picturesque settlement of Valldemossa is forty-one minutes away by car, making it perfect for day trips. 


Farmer's Rest

Nestled in the heart of Sa Pobla, this smart townhouse is a wonderful place to spend a holiday. With plenty of space both inside and outside, and high stone walls providing ample privacy, you'll feel right at home here in no time at all. 

Huge windows flood the living space with natural light, and the open-plan set-up makes it easy to socialise with your guests as you cook, eat, and relax. However, we think you'll want to spend most of your time outside enjoying the balmy weather. Start your day with coffee on the balcony, before stretching out on a sun lounger to catch some rays. Swim a few laps in the pool when you want to cool off, and come evening the whole group can gather for a grilled feast hot off the barbeque. 

Sa Pobla is home to some lovely restaurants serving up local favourites, and there's also a weekly market where you can pick up fresh produce. Culture fans will be delighted to find a modern art museum in the town, while golfers can practice their swing on the local course, just eleven kilometres away. And, if you fancy a day at the beach then take a fifteen-minute drive over to Platja de Muro for a day on the golden sand. 

Tapas Tradition

For those in search of the quiet simplicity and slow pace of rural living, this traditional Finca has everything you could need for an authentic island retreat. 

Nestled between Santa Margalida and the beaches of Can Picafort, you’ll find a welcoming space filled with charm and character. From the original features to the rugged textures and earthy tones, walking through this former farmhouse feels like entering another time. But it’s the sense of heritage and tradition, that makes this home unique. 

Upstairs, there’s an impressive roof terrace where you can savour the mesmerising views across the mountains, while the garden and swimming pool welcome you to enjoy the tranquillity of this secluded setting. 

From here, it’s just a short atmospheric drive to the coastal city of Can Picafort, where you’ll find an abundant selection of shops, restaurants, bars and cafes. Whether you’re in search of a bustling beachside atmosphere or an escape from the crowds, Playa de Muro stretches across six kilometres of coastline and makes the perfect setting for a day by the sea.
