Set atop a small hill on the outskirts of Sant Llorenç, this villa provides peace and quiet in the Mallorcan countryside. You’ll definitely need a car to get around but fortunately, Millor Beach and Manacor, the island’s second-largest town, are only a short drive away. The home’s outdoor space is geared up for spending lazy days in the sunshine – there are more than enough loungers by the pool and the covered terrace is the ideal spot for long lunches. Interior-wise, just so you know, only the upper floor benefits from air conditioning.

Sand & Sun

This delightful haven is located in Son Bauló, a friendly and serene urbanisation within Can Picafort. Start the day with a visit to Can Picafort, a delightfully vibrant spot with everything you'd expect to find on an active beach holiday - and it wouldn't be a complete holiday without grabbing an ice cream to cool you down from the hot sunshine. 

Return home after a long day at the beach, possibly snorkelling, surfing, or kayaking in the crystal clear blue water - your home is waiting for you with a cosy yet elegant feel. Enjoy the beautifully designed garden that wraps around the house, creating a calming but entertaining environment for you to enjoy to the fullest by watching the sunset with a glass of good wine and using the barbecue on the patio, ready for some sizzling.  Imagine endless days sipping lemonade while lounging in the pool and afternoon siestas on sun loungers, wouldn't that be nice?

Gaze Into Cyan

If you’re looking for a secluded island escape, this villa provides the perfect opportunity to experience the peace and tranquillity of central Mallorca. 

Just a short stroll from the tiny hilltop town of Ariany, lazy days can be spent moving to the slow rhythm of rural life. From quiet mornings listening to the sound of birdsong in the garden to refreshing dips in the pool, and delicious evening drinks with local delicacies served on the terrace, you’ll find yourself captivated by the rustic charm of this location. And if this all sounds too sedate, then adventure seekers can take to the open road with cycle rides or long walks through the surrounding countryside. 

From here, it’s just a twenty-minute drive to the beautiful white sandy beach of Can Picafort – providing the perfect opportunity to embrace the magic of the Mediterranean. 

Wherever the day takes you, this humble home welcomes you to light the outdoor grill and raise a glass to life’s little luxuries.  

Scarlet Sunrise

Mallorca’s rolling hills and rugged coastlines are simply made for exploring. From urban centres like Palma, to quaint towns like Maria de la Salut (a fourteen-minute walk from this home), the island offers many ways to keep you busy. Hiking, watersports, and browsing local markets are more options that might take your fancy – but maybe you’re just here to relax?

In this secluded villa, relaxation is the first port of call. While some might opt for the Mediterranean lifestyle of local beaches such as Can Picafort, a fifteen-minute drive away, you can experience the sea in your private saltwater pool. With plenty of sun loungers, and an outdoor shower, you can bring the beach to your own home.

Eco-friendly sensibilities such as solar panels make the most of the sunshine, which you can also do up on the raised decking, with a verandah for wining and dining. Out front, there’s yet another outdoor lounge with comfy wicker furniture, creating an old-fashioned, rural feel in contrast to beautifully modern interiors. While we admit that you might not be spending much time indoors, we love the monochrome colour scheme of the living space, alongside minimalist furnishings, and exposed stone walls.

The Inland Shore

You’ll find this stone finca in the heart of Mallorca, a short drive from the towns of Ariany and Petra. The interiors are laidback and inviting – there’s an open-plan living space for kicking back with your morning coffee and a well-appointed kitchen with everything you need for trying your hand at cooking up traditional Mallorcan recipes. 

We think you’ll spend most of your time in the garden, though, lounging by the shimmering pool and sipping an ice-cold beverage as cicadas rattle in the surrounding trees. When the heat starts to rise, cool off with a gentle swim or seek out a shaded spot on the patio. 

If exploring is on the agenda, pack your beach essentials and drive over to Platja Sa Canova or why not spend the day exploring Alcúdia? We recommend visiting the neo-Gothic Sant Jaume church before enjoying a seafood supper by the port. 

All This and Heaven Too

A stunning stone house with acres of lush land and a swimming pool – do holiday homes get any better than this? This gorgeous finca is just outside of the town of Maria de la Salut, with so much land that it feels like a private estate. There’s a forest area to the rear of the property, which is wonderful for walks, and there are peacocks, sheep and horses on the land too – there’s no need to make their acquaintance unless you want to though. 

The home is spacious, light and stylish, with quirky design details that show the owners’ passion for all things two-wheeled – check out the Rieju bike and the fully functioning bike workshop. Best of all though, there's a splendid saltwater pool surrounded by sun loungers and sunshine. 

A trip to Maria de la Salut’s Friday market is a great way to live like a local. Be sure to check out the 16th-century church on your way to the town square, where you can tuck into some local delicacies and sip wine. Can Picafort beach is just a fifteen-minute drive from the villa, so snorkelling and sandcastles are well within reach. 

Spend your evenings in town, or make the most of the villa’s outdoor space and dine under the pergola. The barbecue is ideal for easy dinners, and a great way to sample the local produce from the market. 


Land Of Green

While sunbathing, hiking, and sailing are most certainly on the cards on this sun-soaked island, some of us are simply looking for a rural, isolated escape. That’s where this home comes in. Although just a ten-minute drive from the nearest town of Felanitx, this inland oasis feels a world away from everyone.

As you approach the home, it gives off a rustic, farmhouse vibe with a traditional look. Honey-coloured stone, wooden shutters, and a terracotta roof are everything you might expect, but the reality is closer to modern luxury. The outdoor area feels more VIP than rural life – palm trees and delicate native flowers line the perimeter, creating a green wall around four-poster sun loungers, multiple terraces, an outdoor grill, shady verandahs, hammocks, and a swimming pool. We love this vast, maze-like space, where you can chase the sun to keep finding secret spots and hidden corners to sip Mallorcan wine. 

As the sun goes down, you might head inside to get cosy beneath traditional wooden beams, or beside the wood-burning stove. With vintage trinkets and an eclectic mix of art in gilded frames, this home feels more like a quirky museum – a wonderfully unique stay on a wonderfully unique island.

Oasis Labyrinth

For those in search of the quiet simplicity and slow pace of rural living, this traditional Finca has everything you could need for an authentic island retreat. 

Nestled between Santa Margalida and the beaches of Can Picafort, you’ll find a welcoming space filled with charm and character. From the original features to the rugged textures and earthy tones, walking through this former farmhouse feels like entering another time. But it’s the sense of heritage and tradition, that makes this home unique. 

Upstairs, there’s an impressive roof terrace where you can savour the mesmerising views across the mountains, while the garden and swimming pool welcome you to enjoy the tranquillity of this secluded setting. 

From here, it’s just a short atmospheric drive to the coastal city of Can Picafort, where you’ll find an abundant selection of shops, restaurants, bars and cafes. Whether you’re in search of a bustling beachside atmosphere or an escape from the crowds, Playa de Muro stretches across six kilometres of coastline and makes the perfect setting for a day by the sea. 

Sol y Tierra

The bustling city of Manacor is the second-largest metropolis on the island, and also the birthplace of Rafael Nadal. But while tennis fans now flock to this former agricultural hub, there are still elements of its former self. Just a seven-minute drive from the centre, this enormous finca is ready to welcome you to countryside life. 

Surrounded by lush trees and fields, this is rural living on a grand scale. Set over thousands of square feet, you can easily start feeling lost among the grounds of this manor. The coast might be twenty minutes away, but your swimming pool can help make up for this. With four-poster Bali beds around the pool, as well as a sun lounger for everyone, it’s a tough choice between catching rays, swimmings lengths, or exploring the home.

Follow the path up to the bright-red door and traditional wooden shutters of the facade. This theme of bold colour and rustic wood continues indoors. Find slanted ceilings, lined with the richest hues of wood, alongside feature walls bringing a pop of colour into every room. From hot pink to aquatic green, this also continues into the luxurious bedrooms. And as each one has an ensuite with a hydromassage bath, you won’t be drawing straws over who sleeps where.

The Brandy Cask

Fresh as a daisy, this cantaloupe-coloured villa surrounded by meadows is a restorative treat. The all-white interiors create calm from the minute you arrive, and you can really tell the host has chosen the furnishings thoughtfully. The fairy light jars and floral accents are endearing touches, but you won’t be able to resist a whirlwind romance with the private garden. 

In juxtaposition with the interior, outside is an oasis of nature and colour impossible not to fall in love with. You can spend all day out here and never get bored. We earmarked the hammock for afternoon siestas straight away and loved the fact we could enjoy our homemade lunch in the shade of the arbour. A post-lunch hot tub dip will become a daily ritual, before rinsing off in the outdoor shower and heading on foot into Villafranca de Bonany (a ten-minute walk) for an evening tapas meal.

Hey There, Bright Eyes

Sit back, relax and soak up the sunshine at this stylish villa on the outskirts of Santa Margalida. Inside, the design merges traditional Mallorcan character with all the contemporary comforts you'll want on holiday – including a soaker bath in the main en-suite and a movie-night projector. The saltwater swimming pool is the main attraction, but the covered lounge area promises long, lazy afternoons in the dappled rays. Upstairs, the balcony shows off the views of the mountains and coast – perfect for watching the sunset. Better still is the location – Can Picafort's long, sandy beach and seafront restaurants are just 10 kilometres away. 

The Palms of the Sun

Reside in peace at this luxurious and unique villa. The living spaces have ample room for socialising and unwinding together with your loved ones. Snuggle up on the sofa to watch a movie on the TV, accompanied by a freshly opened bottle of wine. As you wander through the home, you'll find that there is a wonderful amount of natural daylight that streams in through the windows, especially the courtyard doors. The sleek wooden kitchen is the perfect spot to whip up a fruity dessert or a savoury feast. 

Tuck into tasty plates of food at the wooden dining table, lit up by the sunlight. There's also a dining table outdoors if you're fancying a delightful alfresco experience,  followed by enjoying a rich cup of coffee under the shade of the trees. One of our favourite areas of this home is the workspace, fitted with a standalone bath where you can admire the rural view as you unwind in the bubbles. The refreshing pool is positioned directly under the sun, where you can bathe in not only the rippling water but also the radiant sunshine.

Wander through the charming Santa Margalida village, or travel to the center of Mallorca. There's a beach not too far away with gorgeous white sands and sparkling waters. Visit a wide range of eateries that serve up traditional local cuisine, including a sumptuous beachside paella. You'll also come across the buzz of the Picafort and Puerto de Alcudia promenades.
