Sit sipping sangria on the lovely second-floor balcony – it’s a prime people-watching spot – as boats bob around in the nearby marina.

This Spanish home makes the perfect base from which to explore stunning Alcúdia, as well as many other beach towns along the Mallorcan coast. We absolutely love how the host has decorated – original features such as wooden beam ceilings and exposed brickwork come together with modern lighting and contemporary furniture, to make the home feel fresh and modern while still retaining the Spanish character that makes it so special. Here, you’re just a few minutes’ walk from the beach, where you can enjoy a cocktail in a sun lounger or try your hand at some water sports – there are also tons of lovely restaurants and cafes in this charming seaside town, based just a stone’s throw away from your lovely accommodation.

We reckon there’s no better way to start your day than by cooking up some crepes in your Spanish country kitchen and eating together around your quaint kitchen dining set. Rest on the comfy sofa while you discuss your daily itinerary. Head outside to find your covered terrace, complete with a dining set and places to lounge on hot summery days. Situated in the historic centre of Alcudia, this home is close to a beach (900 metres away) while Puerto Alcudia is around 2 kilometres from this abode. If you want a refreshing dip, you don’t have to go anywhere, though, as there’s a small private pool in the courtyard garden with its palm trees and mellow stone walls. Inside there are plenty of character features, as well as a wood burner for chillier nights. A highlight, for sure, is the large main bedroom with its bank of wardrobe space – there’s plenty of room for all of your clothes, no matter how long you stay.

This villa has everything you need for a luxurious stay on the Mallorcan coast. The location is fantastic – two beaches are easily reached on foot, while historic Alcúdia is just 2 kilometres away – but that's not the only thing that caught our eye. Back home, there's an inviting swimming pool, an eight-seater Jacuzzi, and an array of sun-kissed terraces to take advantage of. Preparing dinner is a breeze in the outdoor kitchen, or, for the ultimate indulgence, hire a private chef to do all the cooking for you. There's also plenty of space here for large groups, with four people sleeping in a guest house – though it does cost a fee to use.

This home caught our eye with its mountain views and beautiful location. Nestled in the countryside of Cielo de Bonaire, there’s plenty to explore here. From hiking trails and nearby beaches to the bustling heart of Alcúdia, this is a great option for families. You will need a car to get around, but free private parking is available. There is also a private pool and plenty of chill out spots to relax both inside and out. The main bedroom comes with an en-suite bathroom and a private balcony, while the room with bunk beds is a sweet option for kids.

A former fisherman's house, this waterside villa is now a modern home for romantic couples and small groups of friends and family looking for a relaxing retreat. Make a beeline straight for the lower-floor terrace, and take in the wide, sweeping views of the Mediterranean Sea and Cap de Formentor – trust us, you'll be blown away. 

Left completely open, so you can watch the waves lap up against the shore while enjoying morning coffees and evening aperitifs, it's a magical spot to unwind. Fully furnished with a dining table that comfortably seats the entire group and an inviting lounge area, this one will be hard to leave. This family-friendly apartment in Alcanada is a great choice if you want to be within walking distance of a sandy beach. It's on the first floor with no lift access – so may not be suitable for individuals with reduced mobility. All full occupancy, the open-plan living area might feel a little cramped but the superb sea views make up for this  – especially from the private terrace. We think the kitchen is better suited to light meals but there are a number of restaurants and cafes to visit nearby. We recommend a car for ease of exploring – the historical cities of Pollentia and Alcudia are a short drive away.

Escape to the beautiful Balearics with a stay in this contemporary villa. Based right on the water, in the affluent Mal Pas neighbourhood, you’ve got direct beach access to Sant Pere and Sant Joan. Here you’ll find white sands, turquoise seas that are perfect for snorkelling and rustic beach bars serving ice-cold beers. The villa is a real head-turner, with angular shapes, and sightlines straight through the living area to the ocean and mountains. Interiors are modern with design-forward furniture in neutral tones and a white gloss kitchen, but the exposed blonde stone gives a nod to traditional Mallorcan architecture. The oh-so-chic pool area has us wanting to break out the bikini right away, and there couldn’t be a dreamier place to top up the tan than the roof terrace, with its shimmering vista. Be the first to hit the beach and the last to leave, with a quick break for lunch on the shady terrace. Come sundown, the roof terrace beckons, for sangria and nibbles.

An immaculate contemporary dream, located just 100 metres from the beach, this vibrant home welcomes you in and wraps you up in a colourful hug. The interiors are a modern masterpiece, with each room tastefully themed and awash with character – it so perfectly epitomises bold and beautiful. Feature clocks are peppered throughout the villa, but time won’t fly here – quite the opposite, in this peaceful home. 

Our favourite spot, although hard to choose with so much to love here, is the ensuite to the main bedroom. Step down into your jetted tub, sunken into the floor, and all you'll need is a glass of bubbles for ultimate relaxation. If you are ready for a quiet night in, the electric fire will set the ambience perfectly as you sink into your deep comfortable sofa. You’re guaranteed a restful night's sleep with relaxation at the core of this villa. 

In the morning, sip your coffee on your private balcony, overlooking the manicured gardens and picturesque sea. Spend your days relaxing by your private pool and fire up the barbecue under the olive tree for a little lunch alfresco. If you fancy venturing into the local area, meander through the old walled town of Alcudia for a touch of traditional Spain. With restaurants, bars and shops all within walking distance, spending days at the beach will be one of many options.

Located just 300 meters from Playa de Alcudia, the longest beach in Mallorca, it is also close to supermarkets, restaurants, and other amenities. Recently renovated, the modern interiors are a welcomed sight and you've got a handy breakfast bar for enjoying meals and mapping out plans. Both bedrooms are simple yet comfortable and there's a family bathroom. Enjoy hiking, cycling and fishing in the local area.

From the moment we pulled up outside and saw the setting, we were in love with this gorgeous stone-built home with its mesmerising views over the Mediterranean. Relax on the comfy L-shaped sofa in the stylish living room and drink them in or head to the mezzanine sitting room. Our favourite spot is the Eames-style rocking chair in the bedroom with its lovely beams. 

Outdoors is beautiful, too, and wonderfully private and secluded, thanks to its warm stone walls. Cook up a Mallorcan feast in the outdoor kitchen and enjoy it on the shaded terrace surrounded by cacti and potted palms. Then laze on the sunbeds in the Balearic sun – that's our kind of holiday. This place is absolutely perfect for families.

The location is great too – the charming town of Port de Pollença, with its restaurants and shops, as well as the fine sandy beach, is just three minutes by car, while Can Cullerassa Beach, used mainly by locals, is under 50 metres away.




Open the Blue Shutters and See the Sea	

Perched on the clifftop in Bonaire, just a few steps away from the water, this penthouse apartment is the epitome of island living. Unforgettable views come at you from every angle, whether you're sipping cocktails on the balcony, lounging on the sumptuous sofa in the living area or barbecuing on the rooftop terrace. The latter makes for a top spot to dine alfresco and watch the sunset over the glimmering water – trust us, it's as idyllic as it looks.

Inside, the design is modern, bright and all about that sea scenery. The main bedroom is a showstopper – after a day of hiking along the rugged coast, soothe aching muscles in the en-suite jacuzzi bathtub where the vistas are so good, you'll never want to get out. 

But when you do decide to pull yourself away, there are a few bars and restaurants within walking distance, plus plenty more in Alcúdia, ten minutes away by car. Adrenaline junkies can jump off the rocks and swim right in front of the home, but for a more laid-back beach day, Platja de San Pere is a ten-minute stroll away.

If it’s a fuss-free getaway you’re after, then look no further than this laidback villa in the north of Mallorca. Inside, it’s bright white and minimalist with an open-plan living space, a fully-equipped kitchen and three comfortable bedrooms guaranteeing a blissful sleep night after night. 

Wake up to coffee on the balcony and soak up the Balearic Sea views. When it’s time for breakfast, put together a platter of traditional Mallorcan fare and enjoy in the shade of the pergola. Splash around with your loved ones in the pool or throw on your sun hat and snooze a while on the loungers. 

In the afternoon, jump in the car and take the five-minute drive to Platja de San Pere. Bob about in the gentle waves and bask in the sunshine on the soft sands. Should you start to feel peckish, drive over to Alcúdia for traditional restaurants in the well-preserved old town.

You can pad barefoot down to the sea right from this villa’s terrace. A swimming pier with a ladder into the crystal-clear Mediterranean awaits just beyond the home’s boundary. If you fancy sampling some of the local cuisine and nightlife, head into the buzzing beach town of Alcudia, a 2km walk along the waterfront. 

This place has been designed with days outside in mind, with several terraces and balconies to choose from. Catch the sun on a lounger on the first-floor balcony, or indulge in a long lunch on the lower terrace with a view of the sea (there’s a rustic-style barrel barbecue at the side of the villa). We love the twisting old olive trees, palms and cacti that fill the garden.

Inside, the living room is, quite simply, massive. The tiled floor and crisp white walls keep things cool in the heat of the day, while sunlight streams in through big windows and glass doors. The chef of the group can enjoy plenty of prep space in the modern kitchen, thanks to a central island.

Located in the La Gola area of Pollença, it’s the perfect setting to enjoy the laid–back atmosphere of the town. And like the landscape that surrounds it, the interior of this home feels bright and warm. You’ll love opening the doors and stepping onto the balcony – this is a wonderful spot to watch the sunrise with your morning coffee or enjoy an afternoon siesta in the shade. 

From here you can walk to the beach, amble along the Pine Walk and make a stop in any of the cafés, restaurants or bars along this stretch of coastline – it’s only a ten–minute walk into the centre. Plus the nearest supermarket and bakery are only a five–minute walk away.

Inside, it’s a bit dated, especially the kitchen and another thing to note is there’s no swimming pool. Though there’s a very big pool (the sea) close by at Sant Pere beach (under 100 metres away).

An open layout on the entrance level ensures plenty of space for your party to gather together without feeling like you're on top of one another. At the same time, sliding doors offer effortless access to those breathtaking balconies and outdoor seating areas.

Four en-suite bedrooms are split across the entrance and lower levels, offering either an elevated position that will see you wake up to the morning sun glinting off the sea or seamless access to the poolside loungers for the ultimate morning coffee by the water's edge. Two of the bedrooms even offer walk-in wardrobes, so you can pack for every possible eventuality. 

Away from the villa, Alcúdia's Old Town is just a short drive away. Here, you'll find colourful streets dotted with family-owned restaurants and independent boutiques, encircled by medieval walls. A little further on is the enticing stretch of sand that leads up to Port d’Alcúdia, while the awe-inspiring Cap de Formentor is well worth exploring.

Just a short stroll from Alcanada beach, this villa makes an ideal family getaway on the Mallorcan coast. If you’re bringing little ones, they’ll need to be supervised in the outdoor area as the pool’s not fenced and there’s a drop at the end of the pool, but this sun-kissed space is perfect for lazy afternoons at home – albeit a little overlooked by the neighbouring home. If you need some respite from the sun, there’s even a games room here, providing an easy way to while away the hours.

If it's fabulous views you're after, this remarkable home should be high up on your list. From its hilltop position between Pollensa and Alcudia, it's possible to gaze out upon the glistening waters of the Med and Mallorcan mountains in the distance.

There's far more to this address that the surrounding scenery, however. The landscaped garden is not only full of pretty Mediterranean vegetation, but it's also home to a large swimming pool that's sure to be popular on hot afternoons. Alongside that, there are plenty of loungers on which to soak up some rays, as well as a covered outdoor kitchen and alfresco table ready and waiting for languorous evening feasts.

The home itself is bright and inviting thanks to the combination of large windows and whitewashed walls. Flashes of exposed stonework lend a traditional flavour, but otherwise, the choice of furnishings and finishes are contemporary in style, especially the glossy bathrooms and minimalist kitchen.

Although there's a tremendous sense of peace that comes with the home's isolated location, it doesn't take too long to reach spots with a bit more life. There's a wide selection of beaches and seaside towns to discover along the northeastern coastline of Mallorca, as well as hiking routes and caves that await inland.

We can think of nothing better than a warm summer morning spent out here, enjoying a basket of pastries, while admiring the shimmering sea in the distance and looking forward to an exciting day down at the beach. 

Head out to explore and in addition to the nearby beaches, the charming town of Alcúdia has plenty of excellent restaurants and buzzing bars, plus a scenic port, just an eight-minute taxi ride away.

With a large swimming pool and wonderful mountain and countryside vistas, this villa is ideal for a family or friends looking for a peaceful setting. There’s a vine-covered terrace for alfresco dining, as well as a covered outdoor lounge area perfect for cocktails. Inside, the décor is simple, while the kitchen and bathrooms are a tad dated, we think. But with such a lovely garden, will you be spending much time indoors? If you want a change from the pool, Alcudia’s beach, Platja de Muro and Puerto de Pollensa are all around a ten-minute drive, while for bird watchers, S'Abufera Natural Park is 6 kilometres away and there’s a golf club 7 kilometres from this villa.

Striking distance from Alcúdia's coastline sits this traditional villa. The top-notch location is the biggest draw – beaches, tapas bars and the Old Town's weekly market are only a short walk away. We also like the small but sunny patio, complete with a plunge pool, lounge chairs and cosy outdoor sofas where you can unwind with a glass of sangria after a day out and about. A breezy, but slightly boring living area awaits inside. Style-wise, it's not the most exciting, but we think families will likely appreciate the fuss-free, open-plan design.

Located between the historic and charming town of Pollensa and the golden beaches of the Bay of Pollensa lies this beautiful country villa. Perfect for families and large groups, this home manages to keep an air of contemporary luxury about it while being equally as welcoming for children, with a playroom and safety measures including a fence around the luxurious heated pool.
