Set in the village of Sóller, this home feels like a lavish piece of Mallorca's history. From its beamed dining room with long oak tables to the sweeping staircase, it’s all old-world charm in here. An industrial kitchen is the newest part of the building, and will help even the most amateur of chefs whip up an impressive feast. Divided into two buildings (though the annexe requires a fee to use), the home is centred around the main house where most of the bedrooms are found, and each is as stately as the next, with four-poster beds, comfy sofas, and en suites with tiled baths ensuring that everyone feels like royalty. But not even the stunning architecture can compete with the Mother Nature – from the windows to the terraces and balconies, the mountain views are what crowns this place for us. 

Slip on your favourite eveningwear, sweep across the swirling tiled floors, and spend evenings gorging underneath the tree-covered patio. A private pool and sun loungers are on hand for recuperating, while small stone balconies can be found in every corner – perfect for sipping your morning cup of coffee on. 

Should you feel the need to leave the villa, Sóller is a pretty old town with plenty of restaurants and shops to explore. Perhaps take the chocolate-box train to Port de Sóller for a seafood feast by the harbourside, or into Palma to soak up some Mallorcan history and culture. 

Tatiana

Tucked away in a quiet cul-de-sac above Deia, this villa offers up incredible views of the Tramuntana mountain range that envelopes the town. Stretch out in the sun during the day, perhaps enjoying a siesta in one of the shaded seating areas, before gazing out across the village as you watch the sunset. Come bedtime, one lucky couple has their own private garden and entrance here – perfect for newlyweds or the patriarch and matriarch of the family. While the lack of parking means you won't be driving, you're just a short stroll from the town centre, where you can feast on local cuisine or grab some transport to one of the nearby beaches. 

The Rooftop Paradise

This rustic villa is just minutes from the picturesque Cala Deiá, one of Mallorca's prettiest beaches. A hotspot for swimming, this pebble cove is also home to some of the best seafood restaurants on the island. It'll be hard to resist waking up and strolling down to the water, enjoying a dip in the morning sun before making your way home for lunch. Then, in the evenings, walk twenty-five minutes into Deiá's charming centre. Known for its bohemian atmosphere and traditional architecture, you'll find green shuttered houses and narrow lanes flanked by independent boutiques, local art galleries, classic cafes, upmarket eateries and Mallorcan tapas bars.

Back at home, take the relaxing to the next level on the bougainvillaea-draped terrace, sipping vino and nibbling on padron peppers in the sunshine. You can just catch a glimpse of the sea from the pool, so splash about and admire the views. Curl up for a siesta in the hammock, sunbathe on the lounge chairs or explore the wild gardens beyond. It's a true outdoor oasis, but the inside of this villa is just as lovely, with exposed beams, beautifully tiled floors and cosy Mallorcan four-poster beds adding a traditional feel. The style is refined, elegant and just a little bit rustic, and your host can arrange extras like a private chef, local produce baskets and craft beer tastings  – exactly what we're for a stay in Deiá.

Pebbles Like Flowers

This beautiful villa is perfect for those who wish to surround themselves with the beauty of the countryside. Nestled in the idyllic municipality of Selva, this home away from home boasts its own private pool and a terrace where you can enjoy a good barbecue and a chinwag on the sofa in the evening. You'll enjoy the seamless blend of the modern with the traditional in this home, as you sit by the pool or go for a morning dip in the cool waters, or sink into the comfy sofas indoors, surrounded by the vibrant art that adorns the house. For those hoping to work remotely, you'll be able to sit at the breakfast bar or dining table with a laptop for a comfy working experience. 

It's an easy drive down to Alcudia Bay, but why would you need to when you can sunbathe and swim at home? Then again, the stylish and modern kitchen may be a treat when you're in the mood to cook up a storm, but there's nothing quite like trying something new in a local restaurant, especially by the sandy beaches and glittering sea. Golf lovers will be within easy reach of courses, and you'll easily spend hours exploring the nearby towns, popping into every traditional shop and looking in the windows of every cafe. Kids will love the nearby beaches and it's well worth exploring the local area. But at this home, you'll know that a day in isn't a day wasted.

Romanesque Summertime

Utter relaxation awaits at this rustic villa on the outskirts of Valldemossa, a stunning village tucked away in Mallorca’s Tramuntana mountains. Oozing old-school charm, this authentic home is sure to delight even the most discerning guest with its characterful design features – think beamed ceilings and gorgeous, wooden shutters – and long list of amenities, perfect for a relaxing retreat with family or friends. 

It's safe to say there’s no shortage of activities to keep you busy here – whether it’s relaxing by the pool, reading by the fire, or cooking up a storm on the built-in barbecue – but we wouldn’t blame you if all you wanted to do was sit back and take in the view. We don’t know about you, but we can’t think of anywhere we’d rather be.

Sunshine Sonata

Arriving onto this Spanish estate, you're welcomed by the sweet scent of pine trees and fresh mountain air. Drop your bags and get straight in that gorgeous swimming pool – well, that's what we'd do. While there are many highlights to this home, the gardens immerse the senses in the island's magic – with an eighteen-acre olive grove, you'll be bathed in beauty from every direction. The seasonal olive harvest and sheep shearing offer an interesting glimpse into the workings of the farm, with the option to participate if you like.

Stepping inside this recently restored home, features such as the wooden shutters, exposed timber beams and antique furnishings create a charming and characterful space. Perfect for large groups and families – there's even a separate media room and gym with professional equipment. And with everything you could need in the kitchen for cooking a Balearic banquet, this home is perfect for entertaining. Upstairs, the elegant bedrooms provide a serene space to retreat to. You'll love waking up to watch the sunrise across the Serra de Tramuntana mountains in the morning. 

Right in the heart of a Unesco world heritage site, this stunning home captures all the elements that make this island so unique. When you aren't relaxing in this rural paradise, make the most of the incredible location and drive to the old town of Soller (ten minutes) or explore the coast. Alternatively, a thirty-minute ride inland will take you to the stunning capital, Palma.



The Place Beyond The Pines

In the cobbled streets of Fornalutx, meander through the "Most beautiful village in Spain" straight from your front door. Step into this ancient Moorish home through an old door and let yourself be welcomed by an indoor courtyard, perfect for a refreshment before exploring the rest of the house. 

The white-washed nooks and crannies created in the 11th century have been modernised, but, with terracotta tiles, wood beams and honey-brown stone walls it still feels like an old Moorish retreat. Admire the mountains from the fragrant, bougainvillaea-shaded terrace with a barbecue on the go. Cool off in the plunge pool, surrounded by boho loungers. Get your yoga mat out in the studio and project your class on the walls before refreshing under the outdoor rooftop shower. This bean-bag-filled room doubles as a boho cinema pad too.

For the musical in the group, there’s a piano, and a library-style office if you need to catch up on emails. There are plenty of local restaurants for dinner. In the morning, directly access the hiking or cycling trails and creeks in the lush green landscape. Port de Soller and a swim in the ocean is only 15 minutes away by car too.


Mountain Stone

Perched on a hill with far-reaching valley and mountain views, this home is a true escape from it all. Soak up the vistas from the private saltwater pool, sip sundowners on the sun-kissed terrace, or kick back and enjoy an alfresco meal – you'll have not one, but two outdoor dining areas to choose from. Inside, your host has thought of everything – there's even a zen room for practising yoga (complete with a breathtaking mountain view). If you can tear yourself away, Port Soller and Soller Village are a mere five-minute drive away. 

The Citrus House

With a view that cries out for an infinity pool, this hillside villa gets its wish. When your fingers start getting pruney from hanging out at the edge of the water, jump in the outdoor shower and dry out on the sun loungers and shaded sofas. There's a lovely terrace for an evening drink and a barbecue, so you can cook dinner without losing sight of the mountains. This villa feels nicely secluded, despite being a two-minute walk from the shops and restaurants in the enchanting village centre of Deià. 

Inside, there'll be no arguing over bathrooms – each bedroom, two of which have a sea view, has its own en-suite. We love the walk-in showers and the walk-in closet has enough space for your entire wardrobe – there's no need to live out of your suitcase here. If there's someone in your party that needs to stay connected or have a quiet place to work, one of the bedrooms affords them a comfortable office nook. There's an extra room on the second floor adjoining a laundry room, with a small bathroom and a kitchen if you need extra space. Get outside for a mountain hike, take advantage of the well-equipped gym, or siesta all day – this setting will leave you refreshed and reinvigorated.

Por Siempre

Modern minimalism meets classic charm at this stylish apartment, based in the heart of Campanet in Mallorca. You’ll be perfectly located for easy access to the stunning Campanet Caves, as well as just a short drive from the gorgeous coastline, where you can find clear blue sea and pure white sand.

We love this home’s interior design – the colour scheme invokes a real sense of calm, with neutral colours and natural wooden tones running through each room, paired with contemporary and chic furniture.
 
This townhouse offers all the space and amenities you need for a holiday of pure relaxation. You’ll find a private pool in your garden – a rare facility to find in a home for just four people – where you can enjoy a refreshing dip when the heat turns up. Your outdoor space also features a barbecue where you can grill up some Spanish meats and veggies to eat on your alfresco dining set. Inside, you’ll find a modern kitchen where you can cook up tasty Spanish breakfasts, and there’s a cosy lounge area where you can curl up with a glass of wine in the evenings.


Balearic Dreams

With its mountain views and vibrant garden setting, there’s a feeling of vitality and freshness that flows throughout this Mallorca home. 

Located just outside the charming town of Campanet, it's the perfect setting to experience the magic of island living. Inside, the interiors are rustic and simple with traditional features that add character and depth. It's a dynamic space made for socialising and enjoying gatherings around the table or outside by the pool. But it’s also a wonderful place to retreat with a book and simply savour the quiet beauty of this location. 

You could easily spend your days relaxing here or pack a bag and make the short drive to the white sandy beach of Platja de Muro – only twenty–five minutes away. And for a taste of art and culture, Palma is just a thirty–minute drive away. 

As the sun sets across the mountains, you’ll love gathering on the terrace for early evening drinks. Light the barbecue and enjoy the simple pleasures of this stylish home. 

The Almond Tree

Welcome to the jungle – or at least, Mallorca's version of it. The craggy backbone of the island, the Serra de Tramuntana Mountains have been designated a UNESCO World Heritage status for their untouched beauty – and nestled amongst the peaks and foliage, you'll find the sleepy little village of Fornalutx and this swoon-worthy villa. Just a fifteen-minute drive from Port de Sóller and the beach, this is the perfect spot to soak up the island's traditional atmosphere.

This charming and rather unique place rises up from the lush greenery like an ancient temple – though we doubt many of those featured an enormous indoor pool, a spacious garden for you to bask in the sunshine, and a dining terrace with one of the best views we've ever seen. We're already picturing morning breakfasts on the terrace, afternoon swims in the pool and evening cocktails as the sun goes down over the village.

Inside, it's just as lovely as its backdrop, with period features and antique furniture providing a quintessentially Mallorcan touch. We love the comfortable lounge area, with big sofas all centred around the stone fireplace, as well as the enormous bedrooms with roomy en-suites. But our favourite has to be the double-height dining hall. With its chandelier and ornately-carved table, it's crying out for a formal family meal – come dinnertime, enjoy tapas, a bottle of wine and good conversation as the breeze blows through the French doors.
