Indoor-outdoor living is something often seen and rarely perfected – but we think this villa gets it pretty much spot on. The seamless transition from the living area to the garden lounge is aided by glass walls, marble walls and seascape paintings, meaning that even the bedrooms feel like part of the surrounding landscape. Ibiza’s beaches are just a five minute drive away, though we think you’ll have trouble tearing yourself away from this home. Here even the most luxurious of treats, like a dip in the infinity pool overlooking the sea or al fresco dining as the sun goes down, become everyday events.

From the stone gardens planted with cacti to the grounds filled with lavender, citrus, and olive trees, this home is a Mediterranean hideaway. Despite only being about ten minutes' drive from Cala Comte, the stay feels like a slice of privacy thanks to its huge plot. Sunbathing by the pool, chilling out in the BBQ area, or pulling some yoga moves on the patio are all sound tracked with not much more than the buzz of the countryside. The spot's interiors are a cool nod to Ibiza, with white-washed walls, brushed concrete, and the occasional pop of a piece of modern art. Perched on the hills near Sant Josep, this traditional finca is a real head-turner. It holds true to its roots, with rustic stone walls, terracotta roof tiles and exposed beams, but the owners have brought it bang up to date with a sleek kitchen and polished concrete floors. There’s a touch of artistic inspiration here too, with flashes of ikat print, blue-painted wood and quirky sculptures (the centrepiece of the living room is a larger-than-life alabaster face). Lovely as the inside is, you’ll undoubtedly spend most of your time in the garden. With clouds of pink blossom scenting the air, and an impossibly blue sky overhead, it’s easy to feel like you’ve found actual heaven on Earth. There are so many outdoor chill-out areas it’s hard to know where to begin. Start with a sun lounger by the beautifully decked pool, or one of the covered daybeds if you prefer a little shade. Eat lunch at the palm-covered, pool-side dining table, and sundowners surely have to be taken on the superb roof terrace, where the views are to-die-for. The set up couldn’t be more perfect for groups holidaying together. Every room has its own en-suite and there are two separate apartments with their own entrances. When you’re ready to get out and explore (we won’t judge if you don’t), you’re 7km from the nearest beach and just 1km from the traditional Ibizan village of San Augustin.

This striking, luxury villa already had us at ‘panoramic sea view’. But let’s delve into the detail. To begin, the location here is spot on. For beach lovers, direct access to a small cove and crystal clear sea is a short meander down some rocky steps. And just a few minutes away you’ll find San Jose, with its boutiques and highly rated restaurants and bars. Perfection. At the villa there’s as much character as there is glorious extravagance. The modern kitchen has plenty of room for food prep with its 4-metre-long island. And for six days a week, you won’t have to worry about preparing breakfast as a private chef will take care of that. Another highlight of this home is its cinema room and when you want a day at the beach, Cala Carbo is just a short stroll away.
