Perched on a cliff just outside of Port Adriano, this impressive home has to be seen to be believed. Boasting an infinity pool, floor-to-ceiling windows, and every amenity you could ask for, this home makes holidays to Mallorca extra special. 

The double bedrooms look out to sea, so you can wake up to the soothing sight of bobbing waves and yachts passing by. This home has been designed to make the most of the superlative views afforded by the cliff-top setting, so you can expect lots of glass – the turquoise of the sea becomes part of the colour palette. 

The villa is just a five-minute drive from Port Adriano, where you’ll find shops and restaurants, and the port, of course. From here you can set sail on a boat tour of the coast or, if you prefer to keep your feet on dry land, simply sip coffee as you watch the boats pull in. A day trip to Palma might also be on the cards – it’s thirty-five minutes away. There you can stroll the historic streets, dine in top-notch restaurants and explore galleries and museums – it’s well worth the journey. 

After a day spent seeing the sights, head back to the villa to swim in the infinity pool or lounge in a day bed. The small indoor pool proves tempting in the evening when you can see the stars through sliding glass doors. There’s also a telescope set up in the living room for keen stargazers.

Bright and stylish, this villa makes for an excellent base in Mallorca. It’s just outside of Puerto de Andratx, so the shops, cafes and restaurants of the town are a short drive away, but it feels like a real escape. The villa sits on the coast with stunning views of the sea – it’s a holiday haven. 

We love the stylish decor here. Each room is chic and attractive, with windows that flood the space with sunshine. The prominence of windows also means that the glorious coastal views become part of the decor – from waking up to drifting off to sleep, you can look forward to wonderful sea views and clear skies. 

Of course, with such beautiful vistas outside, you’ll probably want to spend as much time as possible in the fresh air. Soak up the sun on a lounger, and slip into the private swimming pool to cool off when the sun is at its most sizzling. Even without the panoramic vistas, the home's exterior is designed to make the most of the island's 300 days of sun each year. Lay out by the infinity-edge pool on a sun lounger, seek out a shaded spot to get lost in the pages of a good book, and tuck into mouthwatering homemade meals at any of several outdoor dining spots. 

The home's interior is as classic as they come, with exposed wooden beams, terracotta tiled floors and antique pieces. We particularly loved the bright and breezy living room with its open fire and the book-lined library on the first floor. In addition to three homely bedrooms in the central part of the home, there's a separate guesthouse on the grounds with an additional twin bedroom and kitchenette – ideal for a multi-generational family getaway.

Mallorca is known for its spectacular scenery, so as tempting as it may be to stay put, you'd be missing out if you didn't explore a little further. The unusual flat rock beach and trendy Gran Folies Beach Club are within walking distance, while nearby Port d'Andratx is lined with luxury yachts and some of the finest seafood establishments in the Med. Alternatively, head to the island's cosmopolitan capital of Palma and explore its atmospheric old town on foot.

Nestled in the perfect spot for hiking, cycling and beach holidays, you'll find this home in S’Arraco (right between Andratx and San Telmo) and overlooking the S'Arraco Tramuntana Mountains. Less than a five-minute drive away, the local village centre offers shops and restaurants to explore. Meanwhile, San Telmo and Port d’Andratx are the nearest hotspots if you're looking to hit the beach. There are also regular ferry trips to the protected natural park of Dragonera, where you can arrange to go diving or hiking on the breathtaking Dragonera Island.

Laidback furnishings and natural tones are the hallmarks of this homely villa. Located in a traditional neighbourhood, the traditional house is just a ten-minute drive from the ancient town of Andratx – holidaymakers seeking a quiet island escape need look no further. 

While the rustic living room and bright kitchen are comfortable and inviting, we think you’ll be spending most of your time outside on the patio. Plate up Spanish classics at the alfresco dining table as the barbecue sizzles with local produce. Catch some shade under the parasol or position your chair in a sun-drenched spot. 

Later on, jump in the car and pick a beach. You’re a ten-minute drive from both Sant Elm and Port Andratx. Whichever you choose, you’ll be met with soft golden sands, warm Balearic waters and seafront restaurants serving freshly caught fish and Mallorcan delicacies.

With incredible attention to those little details that make for an excellent stay, this home is minimal, dynamic and ever-so-comfy. We love the graphic stone tiles, exposed natural stone walls and wooden beamed ceilings. The plump sofa invites you to sit back and sip your morning coffee, whilst the modern kitchen is perfect for preparing feasts for your loved ones to enjoy around the elegant dining table – there’s a dining spot on the terrace too if you feel like dining alfresco. One of the main allures can be found on the patio, where you can lounge out in the garden, sip an icy glass of Hierbas de Mallorca and watch the sparkling Mediterranean waters.

Follow the footpath from your villa down to San Telmo, where you can enjoy a day on the beach soaking up the sun before indulging in a sea-grazing feast at one of the waterfront tavernas.  

San Telmo Tiles

This fabulous period townhouse is a real find. Authentic, beautifully styled and packed with character, it's a homage to the city and its history. Set over five floors, including the stunning roof terrace, its green shuttered windows and balconies are in keeping with the area's traditional feel, and the interior, while stylish and comfortable, reminds us of a museum. Whites and terracotta tones make for a timeless feel, while architectural features like the marble staircase and beamed ceilings provide a backdrop to a collection of antiques, vintage artworks and local artefacts – some even displayed in cabinets. 

The living space is exquisite, with windows to three sides, a comfy sofa and an open plan kitchen and dining space, and although the kitchen isn't huge, the host has managed to pack in everything you could need. But we think you're likely to be eating on the roof terrace most evenings. With its own small preparation kitchen to save you lugging dishes up the stairs, this space is simply beautiful. Eat together at the little table, read on the sun loungers or just take in the views across the rooftops. Given some privacy by a series of screening curtains, it's a superb place to watch the sun go down with a good bottle of wine.

One glance at the harbour views and you'll see why this former fisherman's cottage caught our eye. It's in the heart of Port d'Andratx, with a sweeping terrace that overlooks the sea. The scenery is unbeatable whether you're enjoying an alfresco breakfast or panoramic sundowners. There's even an ice cream shop downstairs for a mid-afternoon treat. We think the interiors are a touch traditional, but the apartment offers all the essential amenities. Just keep in mind that it can be a little noisy, as it's smack-dab in the centre of town.
