We think this luxury villa in a smart Llucmajor neighbourhood is a pretty magical place. Located just fifty metres away from the sea, and with a range of amenities to delight the whole family, you're guaranteed to make some lasting memories during your stay. 

The ultra-modern exterior combines geometric shapes and clean lines with glass and wood, for a striking effect. This stylish look continues inside, where you'll find a floating staircase, contemporary art and a chic, neutral colour palette. If you need to work then you can do so in the study, but if it's fun times only for you then you can play some table football or soak in the Jacuzzi tub. Outside, the sparkling pool is great for a refreshing swim and there is plenty of seating where you can soak up the sun. 

Take a wander down to the water's edge to listen to the waves and enjoy a dip in the sea. Lively S'Arenal is just three kilometres away, where you can visit a range of restaurants and bars after spending a day on the sandy beach. And, with historic Palma just twenty kilometres away, it's impossible to run out of things to do.

Dating back to 1841, this old Mallorcan farmhouse has bags of charm. Wandering the old courtyards and patios, you get the feeling that you’re staying in the renovated ruins of a historic building. Seating nooks are tucked into crumbling alcoves and alfresco dining is surrounded by old olive barrels and the farm’s stone well. A built-in stone barbecue provides the rustic farm feast and there’s a second dining area beneath a curtained gazebo. Slip into the L-shaped swimming pool and unwind with nothing but fields and hills before you. 

Heading inside, you’ve got several seating spaces for the whole group to spread out – the grand, stone-vaulted lounge and dining area,  rocking chairs in hallways packed with curious artworks (we love the vintage moped), and a tucked-away living room in white and dove-grey. The kitchen still has its 19th-century hearth as a striking feature, but you’ll find all the mod cons and appliances of the 21st-century filling the cupboards too. 

The villa sits in unspoiled countryside with beautiful views of the hills all around, but it’s just a few minutes' drive into the centre of Llucmajor for supermarkets and restaurants. If you fancy a day of culture and history, Palma is just a twenty-minute drive away.

A hedonistic paradise – this luxury home has a whirlpool with multicoloured lights, disco, karaoke, gym, cinema and games room, as well as a gorgeous swimming pool (and a room with an underwater window to the pool). This place really does have the wow factor – seriously, we didn’t want to leave. 

Unwind in the swing seat in the garden and take in the views, or enjoy some coca de trampó for lunch at the outdoor dining table. There’s plenty of room to entertain in the sophisticated open plan living space – there’s a piano too if you fancy tinkling the ivories. 

This modern mansion is perfect for a special celebration with a large group of friends or family who want to be near Palma. It’s just a ten-minute drive into the centre and the beautiful Cathedral of Santa Maria of Palma (La Seu), or fifteen minutes by bike (your lovely host provides bicycles). Best of all, this home is only 150 metres from Ciutat Jardí Beach.



Palma Nirvana

There's something both at once futuristic and timeless about this villa in the Llucmajor region of Mallorca. The boxy shape, emphasis on clean lines and long shape of the home itself feel strikingly modern, but the white walls, swimming pool and verandah are staples in Mediterranean architecture — and all the more welcome for it in our opinion.

Even if you don't give two figs about design trends, you'll love this home for the sheer amount there is to do here on a hot summer's afternoon. Those partial to a game of golf will appreciate the crazy-style course in the garden, while those who prefer to spend their time doing absolutely nothing will welcome the number of loungers, balconies and alfresco tables. There's even a traditional stone barbecue for whipping up feasts come evening time.

If the small-scale putting gives you a taste for the real thing, Maioris Golf Course is only a three-minute drive away. For those that prefer the beach, Playa S'Arenal takes eleven minutes in the car.

If you fancy some sun, sea, and sand, then gather up your favourite people for a fabulous trip to the island of Mallorca. With a range of excellent amenities and plenty of space to relax, there's something for everyone here. 

Guests of all ages will feel right at home in this bright and airy house. This home has all the charm of traditional Mallorcan finca. The decor is rustic, the rooms are simple and it makes a great setting for families to relax and savour the magic of this rural location. It’s also just a short drive from Llucmajor town so you’ll find plenty of amenities within easy reach. A car is essential here – the nearest beaches are less than a twenty-minute drive away and Palma is just 28km away. But for days at home, the grounds have plenty to offer too: a private pool, a shaded terrace and a barbecue. Plus, kids will love discovering the hidden tree house and playground.

The sea views become part of the decor, whether you’re in the open-plan lounge and dining room or are just waking up in the morning. There’s plenty of space here, so it’s a great choice for a couple of families travelling together. 

If you’re anything like us, you’ll probably spend most of your time outside, soaking up the sunshine. Begin each day by diving into the private swimming pool, before drying off on a sun lounger. The pool is perfectly situated overlooking the cliffs and the sea. 

In the evening, fire up the barbecue for an alfresco feast. Dine under the stars and sip wine, making memories. You won’t want to leave.

Overlooking the Mediterranean, this gorgeous villa doesn’t just give you access to the most beautiful, panoramic ocean views, but also invites you to explore the coast. Discover soft, sandy beaches and rocky outcroppings where you can take a ladder down into the water – stretches of the Mallorcan coast are right at your fingertips.

That relies, of course, on your ability to leave this home behind, because we can guarantee that might be harder than you think. Instead you might choose to start your day lazily, by lying in late as you catch up on series in bed. When you can no longer resist the aroma of freshly-brewed coffee coming from the kitchen, find your way there and into the possession of your own before getting started on breakfast.

Dine alfresco out on the terrace and contemplate the day ahead – are you reading by the pool or swimming out to the edge of the infinity pool so you can admire the view? Are you catching a family movie together, or gathering around the barbecue as you grill up a Mediterranean feast for lunch?

Though some choices remain to be made, others, like taking an afternoon nap with the doors flung open, are already decided. And so is waking up early to watch the sunrise and staying out on the terrance to see the sunset. 

There’s a course for golfing enthusiasts to visit and a few restaurants not too far away for when you’re not in the mood to cook at home. 

Blood Orange Horizon

This fabulous period townhouse is a real find. Authentic, beautifully styled and packed with character, it's a homage to the city and its history. Set over five floors, including the stunning roof terrace, its green shuttered windows and balconies are in keeping with the area's traditional feel, and the interior, while stylish and comfortable, reminds us of a museum. Whites and terracotta tones make for a timeless feel, while architectural features like the marble staircase and beamed ceilings provide a backdrop to a collection of antiques, vintage artworks and local artefacts – some even displayed in cabinets. 

The living space is exquisite, with windows to three sides, a comfy sofa and an open plan kitchen and dining space, and although the kitchen isn't huge, the host has managed to pack in everything you could need. But we think you're likely to be eating on the roof terrace most evenings. With its own small preparation kitchen to save you lugging dishes up the stairs, this space is simply beautiful. Eat together at the little table, read on the sun loungers or just take in the views across the rooftops. Given some privacy by a series of screening curtains, it's a superb place to watch the sun go down with a good bottle of wine.

If you're looking to steer clear of the tourist trail, this secluded home is an idyllic rural retreat. On a private road, you'll have no nearby neighbours but it's just a ten-minute drive to the beautiful town of Algaida – one of the most authentic spots on the island. Surrounded by ancient olive trees, and with an old well out front, it's a charming Finca within a walled garden.

Here the order of the day is relaxation. You can bask in the sunshine by the pretty pool or seek out the shade in one of the garden's many interesting nooks – we love the covered dining terrace and the tucked-away barbecue spot. Stroll in the grounds, admiring the citrus trees, or hike further afield – inland Mallorca is a big hit with keen walkers and cyclists.

The home itself has just the right blend of traditional character and modern conveniences, with a few stylish choices when it comes to interiors. Cooled by the age-old design of its high ceilings, stone walls and tiled floors, the living space is grand and classically furnished. Open plan to keep everything sociable, there's a comfy seating area, dining table and a modern, well-equipped kitchen. Most strikingly, there's a new floating metal staircase.  

And best of all, the master suite is set away from the main house, in a gorgeous separate guest house. With its own luxurious en-suite with a sunken bath and views over the garden, it's an intimate room where you can escape in peace.

There is plenty to keep you busy here – from a day swimming in your huge crystalline pool and page-turning your new book on the sun loungers, to exploring the nearby beaches along the cliff. Sip your morning coffee from one of the many secluded sun spots around the garden. Rustle up a grilled array of dishes on the barbecue, then serve at your choice of dining table – inside the central space or on the terrace accompanied by scenic views. If you’re seeking dinner out, make the drive into Palma to soak up some local culture and cuisine – it’s worth the drive.

Lie low for a while at this exquisitely private and traditional Finca set deep in the heartland of the Mallorcan countryside on a thirty-acre estate, and yet just twenty minutes from the coast. 

Every corner of this 200-year-old Finca delivers pure Mallorcan charm. Outside there are elegantly furnished terraces (so many, we've lost count) to soak up the vistas of the rolling countryside and mountains beyond. And inside, cool terracotta tiles, wooden beams, and antique treasures bring all the hacienda vibes. 

Sunny mornings call for coffee and lazy breakfasts on the terrace, then follow the meandering paths leading to an impressive saltwater pool for a cooling dip. Hugged by established gardens brimming with lemon and orange groves (G&T, anyone?), it would be impossible not to relax here. And when it's time to beat the heat, even on the hottest of summer days, inside the house feels cool and breezy with the shutters and windows flung open.

Within walking distance of two sandy beaches, we found this villa to be a sun lover's paradise – we're suckers for a home with a sea view. Ideal for both families or a group of friends, the private pool lets you spend time together privately as a group. And if the sun gets too much, there's plenty of space indoors to relax, while the pergola is perfect for shaded alfresco dining. If you decide to explore, you'll find both Port Adriano and Port Andratx close by.

This home has been designed to make the most of the superlative views afforded by the cliff-top setting, so you can expect lots of glass – the turquoise of the sea becomes part of the colour palette. 

The villa is just a five-minute drive from Port Adriano, where you’ll find shops and restaurants, and the port, of course. From here you can set sail on a boat tour of the coast or, if you prefer to keep your feet on dry land, simply sip coffee as you watch the boats pull in. A day trip to Palma might also be on the cards – it’s thirty-five minutes away. There you can stroll the historic streets, dine in top-notch restaurants and explore galleries and museums – it’s well worth the journey. 

After a day spent seeing the sights, head back to the villa to swim in the infinity pool or lounge in a day bed. The small indoor pool proves tempting in the evening when you can see the stars through sliding glass doors. There’s also a telescope set up in the living room for keen stargazers.

A choice of thirty fruit trees in the orchard, plus numerous vegetables and herbs in the garden, make it super easy to pick the ingredients for lunch. 

Whip up a sumptuous Mediterranean feast in the modern kitchen, and then round up everyone for a lazy meal in one of the numerous indoor and outdoor dining areas. Later you can burn the calories with a game of tennis or basketball, followed by a cooling dip in the pool. In part of the gardens you'll be greeted by the resident flock of sheep – feed them a few stalks of grass and they’ll love you to bits. 

If you manage to tear yourself away from this designer retreat, the village of Alaró has grocery stores, restaurants, and a trendy little gallery hosting exhibitions by local artists. Bright and breezy, this modern villa sits in a prime spot on Mallorca's eastern coast. Just a short drive away lies Porto Cristo, with the rocky beaches of Cala Anguila and Cala Mendia also within easy reach. What initially caught our eye here were the sea views – best enjoyed from the terrace, balcony and two of the bedrooms – but we're equally impressed by the sleek interiors. Inside, there's plenty of space to spread out and unwind away from the island's endless sunshine. Although, if you ask us, the best spot of all to chill out is the small private pool, fitted with whirlpool jets for extra relaxation.

There’s an uplifting quality to this home. It’s the kind of space where you can get lost in sea views and the magic of island living. 

Located in the La Gola area of Pollença, it’s the perfect setting to enjoy the laid–back atmosphere of the town. And like the landscape that surrounds it, the interior of this home feels bright and warm. You’ll love opening the doors and stepping onto the balcony – this is a wonderful spot to watch the sunrise with your morning coffee or enjoy an afternoon siesta in the shade. 

From here you can walk to the beach, amble along the Pine Walk and make a stop in any of the cafés, restaurants or bars along this stretch of coastline – it’s only a ten–minute walk into the centre. Plus the nearest supermarket and bakery are only a five–minute walk away.
