There’s also a games area with a pool table to keep family or friends occupied. Located a thirty-minute drive from Palma and the north coast, a car is recommended but it’s worth it to explore this beautiful island.

Balearic Dreams

Overlooking the forest-covered Tramuntana mountains, this beautiful Mallorcan villa exudes rustic charm and country idealism. Visit Mancor de la Vall – famous for its Mushroom Fair staged every year in November – a four-minute drive away or eighteen minutes away on foot, or head to Inca (a twelve-minute drive) known for its long history of leather making. You’re also just under forty minutes away by car from sandy Platja de Muro, while bustling Port d'Alcúdia is a thirty-five-minute drive from your door. 

Terracotta Terrain

This stunning villa was featured in a leading local design magazine, and it’s easy to see why. Inside, a predominantly white-and-blue colour scheme, high ceilings, stylish rattan furniture, and potted palms create a relaxing, breezy beach vibe that puts you at ease instantly. A choice of thirty fruit trees in the orchard, plus numerous vegetables and herbs in the garden, make it super easy to pick the ingredients for lunch. 

Whip up a sumptuous Mediterranean feast in the modern kitchen, and then round up everyone for a lazy meal in one of the numerous indoor and outdoor dining areas. Later you can burn the calories with a game of tennis or basketball, followed by a cooling dip in the pool. In part of the gardens you'll be greeted by the resident flock of sheep – feed them a few stalks of grass and they’ll love you to bits. 

If you manage to tear yourself away from this designer retreat, the village of Alaró has grocery stores, restaurants, and a trendy little gallery hosting exhibitions by local artists. The nightlife and beaches of Palma are a thirty-minute drive away. In the evening, wind down in the hot tub while sipping wine and taking in the views of the Alaró Mountains.

Set on a remote plot, surrounded by fields of green and the backdrop of the Sierra de Tramuntana mountains, you'll have a haven of tranquillity with this serene spot as your base from which to discover the island of Mallorca. With your own private swimming pool, ample outdoor garden space including alfresco dining areas, a sunbathing terrace, and a hidden sun trap on the rooftop overlooking spectacular countryside views – adapting to the blissful lifestyle here comes easy. 

Inside, exposed wooden beams and terracotta tiled flooring pave the way to an authentic Mallorcan stay, with wooden furnishings adding warmth and modern home comforts, creating a relaxing place to chill out between your adventures out and time spent relaxing in the garden. 

Located right in the island's centre, you'll be no more than forty-five to sixty minutes away from almost anywhere in Mallorca when staying in Selva. So why not rent bikes and follow the scenic cycle routes scattered around the island? Or hop in the car to discover the picturesque beaches and coves of the island's eastern coastline, explore the quaint Mediterranean villages in the west or set off on a day of culture, shopping and fine dining opportunities with a day trip to Palma. 


Summer Crush 

This villa is situated in the picturesque Serra de Tramuntana, with lovely views of the nearby town. The highlight for us is the large private pool, surrounded by hammocks, several dining areas, high hedges and a mini orchard. We also like the pool house's outdoor bathroom, while inside the villa itself, there’s a rustic charm to every room. If you tire of swimming in the pool and want to dip your toes in the warm Mediterranean Sea, you'll find several pretty beaches around a twenty-minute drive away.

The Spritzer

It's not just the aqua swimming pool, suntrap terraces surrounded by fruit trees and the abundance of characterful rooms that make this villa such an attractive proposition (although they are pretty good reasons to stay here). There's also the majestic mountain setting, endless stretches of golden sand just a 30-minute drive away, and some of Europe's most scenic cycling routes outside your front door. You know you've found a good thing when you don't have to travel to the Unesco World Heritage Site because you're already surrounded by it. Exploring this stunning corner of Mallorca may have to wait a day or two, though. First, there's a pool-side hammock that needs testing, a BBQ to enjoy, and a log burning fire to curl up by when the night winds down. The well-appointed living areas make entertaining inside a breeze, but we doubt you'll be moving from the alfresco kitchen and dining area in summer. Pick some fresh herbs from the garden for a hefty salad, drizzle some local olive oil, and open a bottle of Spanish wine. Now sit back, and wait for that glorious sunset to roll in.

Golden Hour Grazer

Location-wise, you're just a stone's throw from Inca, Mallorca's third-largest town. Known for its leather-making workshop, wine cellars housing local restaurants, and weekly market, it's a charming village that has all you need. Fancy a day trip? Buzzing Palma is about a twenty-five-minute drive away, or if you're keen on the sea, Port d'Alcúdia and the island's northern beaches are about half an hour by car. 

Sunset & Evening Star

This striking country house can be found just 750m from the centre of beautiful Inca, a charming small town in the centre of Mallorca. This home is as charming as the town, if not more so. You’ll find a breath-taking outside space with a pool surrounded by citrus and palm trees, and an outside dining area you won’t want to leave. 

The interior of this villa features a huge wood stove, wooden beams and elegant furnishings. Light pours in through the windows and your eye is inevitably drawn to the lush garden. A vast cobbled courtyard wraps around the home, leading to quiet corners for sunbathing. 

This home’s show-stopper is undoubtedly the magnificent outdoor dining area, though. A long dining table sits in front of the impressive barbecue. Drapes flutter in the breeze, providing shelter from the sun and adding to the dreamy setting. Inca hosts a market on Thursdays, so you’ve got the perfect opportunity to load up on local produce and cooking tips. Set to work creating a banquet and sip wine as you cook and catch up.


A Feast For The Eyes

With a feeling of being an island on its own, this home, surrounded by palms, is the perfect place to put your feet up and unwind. One of the sunloungers, on the outer ring of the crystalline pool, is one place to start your pursuit of relaxation – grab a drink, hit play on an audiobook and bask in the sunshine and fresh air. Whenever the Mediterranean sun’s gaze gets a little too hot, just shimmy into the cool waters to refresh before going back to doing as little as possible. 

Have lunch on the shaded terrace before taking a stroll into the heart of Inca. Stock up on supplies, take holiday photos in front of the beautiful Santa Maria d'Inca, and stop off at a cafe for drinks before returning home with a bag filled with pastries. 

When no one’s looking, slip away to the little bistro table on the balcony and enjoy one of the baked goods with a cup of freshly-brewed coffee. Continue the time-out by reading in the shade, walking the grounds and going for a sunset dip in the pool. 

Gather in the ultra-modern living space every evening to light the fireplace and enjoy a family game or movie night together.

Palma Violet

This beautiful villa is in the heart of Caimari in the foothills of the Tramuntana Mountains. It’s a fabulous holiday home for a peaceful family escape, in an excellent spot for cycling. The garden is spread between different terraces, from which you can admire views of the surrounding landscape. We love the private pool and the Balinese daybeds around it, as well as the pergola with a shaded dining table – there’s a barbecue and fire pit, too. The home is filled with art and sculptures – there’s something to admire at every turn.
