Other attractions nearby include Alcúdia and Cala San Vicenç, both fifteen minutes by car. You don’t have to go anywhere for a cooling dip though, this home has a walled courtyard with a private pool and an adjacent shaded dining terrace perfect for barbecues. We love that all the bedrooms have direct access to the terrace too.

Simple in style, this is a comfortable space for six, with the bonus of a private balcony for alfresco meals – albeit, slightly overlooked by the building opposite. For days when the beach doesn’t tickle your fancy, you can head to the old town of Pollença to climb the Calvari steps. And for those wanting more of a hiking challenge, the Tramuntana mountains are around an hour’s drive away.

From the moment we pulled up outside and saw the setting, we were in love with this gorgeous stone-built home with its mesmerising views over the Mediterranean. Relax on the comfy L-shaped sofa in the stylish living room and drink them in or head to the mezzanine sitting room. Our favourite spot is the Eames-style rocking chair in the bedroom with its lovely beams. 

Outdoors is beautiful, too, and wonderfully private and secluded, thanks to its warm stone walls. Cook up a Mallorcan feast in the outdoor kitchen and enjoy it on the shaded terrace surrounded by cacti and potted palms. Then laze on the sunbeds in the Balearic sun – that's our kind of holiday. This place is absolutely perfect for families.

The location is great too – the charming town of Port de Pollença, with its restaurants and shops, as well as the fine sandy beach, is just three minutes by car, while Can Cullerassa Beach, used mainly by locals, is under 50 metres away.

And while there’s plenty to explore in the surroundings, you’ll find this home provides the perfect setting to relax and unwind. Highlights include the private pool and the upper floor terrace – the ideal spot for sunset drinks. It’s worth noting the decor is a little dated in parts, but this is a great option for those in search of peace, privacy and stunning scenery.

Split over two houses, this villa on the Northern coast of Mallorca is a great getaway for a group of friends or family. This charming 16th-century finca has been completely renovated into a relaxing holiday home. It’s situated between Pollensa and Puerta Pollensa in Sierra de Tramuntana, so you’ll have mountain views while also being close to beaches, restaurants, and markets. The finca used to be an oil mill and that historic charm has been retained – think classic stone walls and wooden beams. There’s a delightful terrace with a pergola, a great spot for alfresco dining, in addition to a heated swimming pool, where we’d be spending most of our time. You can also look forward to working up a sweat playing petanque and table tennis.

A former fisherman's house, this waterside villa is now a modern home for romantic couples and small groups of friends and family looking for a relaxing retreat. Make a beeline straight for the lower-floor terrace, and take in the wide, sweeping views of the Mediterranean Sea and Cap de Formentor – trust us, you'll be blown away. 

Left completely open, so you can watch the waves lap up against the shore while enjoying morning coffees and evening aperitifs, it's a magical spot to unwind. Fully furnished with a dining table that comfortably seats the entire group and an inviting lounge area, this one will be hard to leave. Elsewhere, white, polished wood and a grey colour palette create chic, minimalist interiors. 

After a gentle start, pack your seaside essentials and take the thirteen-minute stroll to the nearest beach at Platja Es Morer Vermell. Spend hot afternoons swimming in the sea and sunbathing on the soft sand. End the day with a drink in the charming town of Alcúdia, just ten minutes away by car.

If you're keen to be by the ocean, the three beaches of Cala San Vicente are within easy distance, and offer fine, golden sand and crystal clear water. We highly recommend a visit to Pollensa town to fully appreciate the area's history and culture. Stroll down the attractive narrow streets to admire the traditional architecture and signs of a fascinating past, then head to the impressive main square, where you can stop at one of the cafes for a cafe con leche.  

While you're in town, pick some up some fresh ingredients then head home to try cooking some local dishes on the barbecue. The outdoor dining table is ideal for alfresco family feasts, surrounded by spectacular scenery. Post-dinner, go up to the balcony with a glass of wine to watch the sun set over the beautiful landscape, or get cosy inside by the fireplace.

It’s close to town for shopping and dining out, a mere ten-minute drive from the beach, and it’s a peaceful countryside location to retreat to. Comfortable for eight guests, the outdoor space is the cherry on the cake with mountain views, generous gardens and a private pool to cool off in the heat – ideal, really, as with timed air conditioning, inside the villa may be a little warm during the day.

A short walk away from the horseshoe bay of Puerto Pollensa, this villa is as laid-back as the neighbourhood it's in, making it a perfect base for families. From here, it's easy to explore the architecture and stretching beaches of the resort town, making time to stop by the weekly market on Wednesdays. The bedrooms are on the smaller side but still comfortable and practical, and besides, you'll find more breathing room out back on the terrace, where a private pool – with a mosaic design – will keep the most energetic of the bunch busy for hours. Spot the stone barbecue where you can grill whatever you can't prepare in the little kitchen, before enjoying it alfresco.
