Now, the leaving might be difficult given how gorgeous this little home is. With doors opening from the bedroom, as well as the lounge, onto the terrace, you’ll feel that constant connection to the outdoors – and given the mild, spring temperature of Torrox all year round, you’ll have every excuse to spend all of your time out there. 

Couples can bond over alfresco breakfasts, curl up on the couch to watch a romantic movie or spend evenings stargazing from the hot tub, whilst those on a solo trip might take advantage of the peace and quiet to catch up on their reading. Thrill seekers love Nerja, but this apartment sits a short drive away if you've planned for a balanced break. On your doorstep, the restaurant-lined promenade leads you to sandy beaches. There's no need to walk to the Mirador de Calaceite viewpoint when this home boasts its own sea-facing balcony. Imagine dining alfresco after a swim in the communal pool, though the seating arrangements here overlook guest number five. With champagne, shuttle services, and guided tours available, it's easy to squeeze the most out of your holiday.

When it comes to exploring outside your home, make a beeline for the nearby beaches (3.1 kilometres away) or visit some of the charming villages in the vicinity, including Frigiliana and Nerja, both under 20 kilometres from your door.

If you aren't a morning person, you're about to become one – stepping out onto the balcony to the sprawling mountain scenery will have you ready to take on the day. Grab a cup of coffee and take a seat on the outdoor sofa, or head up to the roof deck to take a refreshing dip in the shared pool. 

If you're a bit of a sun worshipper, you'll love the proximity this home affords to some of the most beautiful beaches on the Costa del Sol. Head to Burriana beach for white sands, water sports and beach bars. This stunning Andalusian villa is the perfect getaway for a holiday with your loved ones. The interior of the home is very nicely designed, but it’s the exterior we’re most enthusiastic about. With an infinity pool, ping-pong table and several lovely terraces (including a rooftop one) we don’t blame you if you’d like to spend all your time here. If you want the best of both – the beach is a thirty-minute walk away and the beautiful cities of Málaga and Granada are roughly an hour’s drive down the road.

Distinctively Moorish in appearance, Frigiliana is home to a 17th century Archaeological Museum, the Santa Fiora botanical gardens and as well as narrow, winding, cobblestone streets full of small shops, tapas bars and restaurants. Why not sample some local seafood –Pescaito frito and molletes or pick up some supplies for a family picnic post wild swim in the Higueron river.

Tucked away just outside of Torrox and surrounded by the hills of Andalucia, this beautiful villa is an ideal holiday home for a family looking to relax and make memories. It’s just 5 km from Torrox, and a short drive from several beaches – we particularly like Playa Calaceite – so there’s plenty to see and do while still steering clear of the crowds of tourists. You can really unwind here, and revel in the beautiful views. 

The outside space is spread over two levels, with a private pool and lawn on the upper level. Swim in the pool to cool off, soak up the Spanish sun on one of the sun loungers, or curl up in the shade of an umbrella with a good book. Add in the alfresco dining areas and the covered barbecue, and you have everything you might need for a perfect summer’s evening under the stars. The children’s play area, ping pong table and basketball hoop help to keep everyone entertained, so the grown-ups can drink in the gorgeous view in peace. The glass-enclosed porch is another of our favourite features, as it means you can enjoy the vista whatever the weather.

We highly recommend starting your days with breakfast under the pergola, then a refreshing dip in the private pool. Wherever you end up, Torrox is the perfect place for beach hopping, due to having warm temperatures all year round.
