The home is practical, with a Scandinavian style and an open-plan living space for remote working and relaxing after a day of gallery hopping. The second bedroom is on the lower level, so natural light is lacking – though the skylights offer a helping hand. There's also a handy sofa bed to accommodate your fifth and sixth guests.

This charming two-floor apartment can be found in a quiet courtyard in the 18th arrondissement. From here, you can walk to Sacré-Coeur and meander the winding streets of Montmartre. Lamarck-Caulaincourt metro, served by line twelve, is nearby, so you can easily travel around Paris. The apartment has a spiral staircase from the cosy living and dining space to the bedrooms, which have hotel-quality bedding. This is a comfortable home-from-home that’s perfect for a family.

This petite apartment is full of light. It boasts a glass roof and windows that look out onto the greenery of Cimitière de Montmartre, making it a tranquil home-from-home. The combination of glass and a mirrored panel makes the space seem bigger than it is, too – though it’s worth pointing out that there’s only one bedroom so at full occupancy, two guests will sleep on the sofa bed in the living room. You’ll be positioned between the Moulin Rouge and Place de Clichy, tucked away in a quiet tree-filled courtyard.

Although the real star of the show is the natural light that pours in through the sliding glass doors and opens out onto a sunny balcony. The home's extensive library and charming outside space provide the perfect excuse to stay in and soak up the sun with a good book. But when you're not catching up on your literature, there's a local area full of Parisian authenticity, classy cafés and cultural attractions, including the Sacré-Cœur Basilica and the Sinking House of Montmartre  – only a twenty-minute walk from your door.

Situated in the creative Montmartre neighbourhood, this modern apartment is a twelve-minute stroll from the famous Moulin Rouge. You'll be surrounded by cobblestoned alleys, which boast restaurants and street artists. Plus, the Abbesses metro station is just a six-minute walk away. We love that this home treats families and friend groups to a private sauna for post-adventure relaxation. Though two guests will be sleeping on a sofa bed here, the living area is a bright spot to hang out and plan your itinerary.

Le Petit Boudoir

We wouldn't want to bamboozle you into thinking that this home is larger than it actually is. In fact, it's rather – as the French say – petite. That being said, it could well be ideal for a couple or solo traveller looking for a simple base in a good location.

Behind the front door, the recently renovated space is bright and inviting, thanks in the main to the row of tall windows lining the walls that can be opened on warmer afternoons for some Juliet balconies. There's a simplicity to the design and the lounge area especially will be a relaxing spot after returning from a day of sightseeing. To be truthful, we don't think you'll be cooking much in the very limited kitchenette, but many might not see that as a major issue given you're in the middle of one of the most culinarily celebrated cities in the world.

The home's location is the big draw, with the quintessentially Parisian neighbourhood of Montmartre easily reached on foot, as well as the buzzy bars and cafes of Pigalle to the south. And with Place de Clichy metro station three minutes' walk away, it's just as convenient to travel over to the famous attractions in the heart of the city.

Speaking of exploring, you’ve got plenty to see within easy reach on foot, including the Sacré-Cœur (eight minutes away), the Moulin Rouge (also eight minutes away) and the Musée de Montmartre (seven minutes away).

Large groups seeking a superb location in Montmartre, look no further. This apartment is a mere seven-minute walk from Sacré-Coeur and ten minutes from the Moulin Rouge. When you want to leave the heart of artsy Montmartre, you need only stroll four minutes to hop on the metro at Abbesses. This light-filled home is perfect for families and groups of friends, with a bright open-plan living and dining space that’s ideal for socialising. Two guests will be sleeping on a sofa bed in that space, so their privacy will be limited. For this location, we can forgive that though.

We love the open-plan layout of the home that amplifies the light and the sleek kitchenette – ideal for breakfasts over fresh coffee and croissants as well as intimate sunset soirées. Behind the glass divider, you’ll find the beautiful bedroom with its scenic windows and inviting bed. There’s also a decadent bathtub here that beckons long soaks with a glass of bubbly after a day of exploring the city. Speaking of sightseeing, you’ve got countless points of interest within easy walking distance, including the Sacré-Cœur Basilica (ten minutes), the iconic Moulin Rouge (fifteen minutes) and the Musée de Montmartre (eight minutes).

This minimal apartment in Montmartre is an ideal choice for those who want to spend their time exploring the very best of Paris’ sights. Conveniently, the Basilique du Sacré-Cœur and this neighbourhood’s quaint boutiques are on your doorstep, while Abbesses metro station is a short walk away. As soon as you arrive, you’ll be greeted by a pretty shared terrace, followed by a staircase up to the apartment. Inside is practical and bright, though the master bedroom doesn’t benefit from any natural light. Still, with Paris' authentic eateries, museums and galleries within easy reach, this is a comfortable spot for a city break.

Another thing we love is the location, right in the heart of artsy Montmarte. Staying here is like stepping into a painting or a movie set, with cobbled lanes, blooming flower boxes and views in every direction. Make the climb to Sacré-Cœur – a mere five-minute walk away – then stroll down to the pretty Rue de l'Abreuvoir and enjoy a meal at the famed French bistro. There's plenty of choice for drinking and dining in this neighbourhood – from wine bars and bakeries to gourmet eateries. Plus, with Lamarck-Caulaincourt station just four minutes on foot, zipping around the rest of Paris is a breeze.

Just a short stroll from the cobbled streets of Montemarte, we love the stylish living space here – a perfect base for exploring Paris. Nearby you'll find the Sacré Coeur, along with the bohemian Abbesses and Rue Caulaincourt streets. Back at home, the balcony, while not offering much of a view, is a pleasant spot to catch some sun with your coffee. And although the location is brimming with spots to dine in, the kitchen is well equipped for cooking.

When in Montmartre

Nestled along the secret cobbled streets of the 9th arrondissement, the apartment is situated amongst some of the most emblematic districts in Paris, including Montmartre, Pigalle, and the Grands Boulevards. While the space is compact, it serves a solo traveller or couple beautifully for a memorable stay in Paris. As you step inside the apartment, you'll be welcomed in an instant by the warmth of the cosy interiors and dreamy layout the space offers. Snuggle up in the sitting area with a glass of French red wine in hand, before tucking into a cheese platter (bought from a local fromagerie) over at the kitchen's dining area. With plenty of trendy cafes, bars and restaurants on the street below you won't have to go far to try out more of the electric variety of cuisine available in the city of lights. 

Sweet Cocoon

We love all the little details in this Montmartre flat, from the ornate crown moulding and elaborate ceiling roses to Juliet balconies on the big windows. There's no doubt it's charming, but it also has all the 21st-century comforts any traveller would crave – a kitchen stocked with cookware, a lavish rainfall shower in the en-suite and a desk for at-home working. As a bonus, there's even a view of the Eiffel Tower – it can't get much more Parisian than that.

Outside, Montmartre and its bohemian atmosphere await. Here, artists paint along the sidewalks and cafes, bakeries, eateries and art galleries line the winding, cobbled streets. It's Paris at its finest, and the views from Sacré-Cœur – just a thirteen-minute walk away – are pretty breathtaking. South Pigalle's bars and theatres aren't far if you're craving a night on the town, while a quick ride on the metro will get you around the city with ease – perfect if you're in town to sightsee.

As soon as you step off the cobbled streets and into this home, you’ll want to soak in the traditional character and charm. And no doubt you’ll feel uplifted when you open the doors onto the leafy courtyard – this is the perfect spot to drink your morning coffee, read or simply listen to the sound of the city. Whether you’re cooking in the kitchen or relaxing in the bedroom, the space wraps you in a feeling of warmth and wellbeing. 

Outside follow in the footsteps of Picasso as you wind your way through the cobbled streets and up to the Sacré Coeur – only a twenty–minute walk away. This is a wonderful place to get lost in stunning city views, stylish bars and eateries.

Located at the foot of the Butte Montmartre, within walking distance of the Sacré-Coeur, this compact apartment is perfect for a couple or solo traveller. The kitchenette is better equipped for light bites, but with the endless number of restaurants on the doorstep, mealtimes won’t be a problem. Our favourite feature was the private courtyard – it’s the ideal spot to enjoy a nightcap. Best of all, getting around is easy – the Lamarck–Caulaincourt metro station is just a short walk away.

With views of the Sacre-Coeur from every bedroom in the home, this arty apartment also has lots to offer on the inside. You'll find heaps of entertainment options – not only literature but also films to watch on the projector as well as music and games - while aspiring chefs will appreciate the no-fuss kitchen full of useful gadgets and a stocked pantry. Although a group of five may find having one bathroom slightly impractical, we feel that the home's characterful interior more than makes up for the inconvenience of sharing.

Show up and start living the Parisian life at this exceptional Haussmannian apartment, located in the distinctly bohemian Indian Quarter. Completely renovated throughout by a renowned architect, this home has an opulent feel thanks to the soaring heights of the ceilings and original historical features. There are large, sumptuous beds, freestanding baths, monsoon showers, and an original wrought-iron balcony that sweeps the full length of the home. By day, the space is bathed in natural light from the stunning original windows. Open the balcony doors as you enjoy a morning coffee and watch the streets awaken below. By night, the rich jewel hues and chandeliers of the interiors ramp up the atmosphere. Come together around the grand dining table as the city lights glimmer in the distance and make mealtimes a truly memorable event. Beyond this luxurious home, you’ll find plenty of culture on your doorstep.  Stroll along to Canal Saint-Martin – coveted by artists and regarded as the centre of modern Paris - located just 750 metres away. Or head to Bassin de la Villette, just 900 metres away, for brunch and a spot of people watching - you'll be in good company.

Ode to Haussmann

Sitting on the outskirts of the quintessentially Parisian neighbourhood of Montmartre, this apartment might be a little more contemporary than many of the addresses found in the historic locale, but it's no less worthy of praise.

One of the first things you'll notice – or we did, at least – is the bountiful amount of natural light that the interior is treated to from the large windows that line the open-concept living area. This feature makes it a bright and fresh environment to spend time in, something also helped by the minimalist design, which bears a conspicuous Scandi influence. If we have a bone to pick, it's with the limited scope of the kitchenette, but there's just enough equipment for preparing simple meals.

When you want to see a little more of the local area, the famous Moulin Rouge is less than five minutes' walk away and is one of a good number of entertainment venues and restaurants nearby. The similarly iconic Sacré-Coeur is only twenty minutes away on foot too and offers spectacular views of the French capital from its steps.

Please Be Seated

Nestled in Montmarte, this charming home is an ideal base for a couple’s stay in the French capital. There’s no air conditioning here, but you can beat the heat in the summer months with the available fan, or better yet, throw open the balcony doors to let the fresh air drift in. The location of this apartment is what really caught our eye, though. A short stroll and you’ll find shops and cafes, while for more iconic sights, Basilique du Sacré-Cœur is a short distance away, as is the Moulin Rouge. 

Magical Montmarte

This modern apartment situated in the iconic Montmartre district is a great base for a couple or a small family visiting the City of Light and wanting to make the most out of this convenient location. While simple in its design, we love the fact that you can stroll down to the Sacré-Cœur, as well as the numerous elegant shops, cafes and museums from here. 

Come in to find a bright open-plan living room with a comfy sofa, perfect for evenings of movies and French wine. While there’s no shortage of great restaurants here, you can choose to stay in and rustle up light meals in the kitchen area and share them at the dining table. This is also a good spot to perch in case you need to catch up on some work during your stay.
 
Get a good night’s rest in the bedroom which offers a soft bed and nice ambience. Start your day with a cup of freshly brewed coffee and plan your city adventures. Why not start by visiting the beautiful Montmartre commentary located just moments away. 

The Lights of Paris 

This petite apartment is tucked away in a leafy private courtyard at the foot of Butte Montmartre. It’s on the ground floor and looks out onto the tree-lined courtyard, where you can sip your morning coffee and plan your day. The apartment is spread over two floors, but space and privacy are still limited, and you’ll struggle to prepare feasts in the tiny kitchenette. Luckily, you have Montmartre’s restaurants, cafes, bakeries and shops on your doorstep. For exploration further afield, hop on the metro at Lamarck-Caulaincourt.

Winding through the colourful, cobbled hills of Montmartre is the ultimate romantic vision of Paris. Imagine strolling just fourteen minutes from the Sacré-Cœur and right into your charming apartment. Set back in the heart of this iconic neighbourhood, in a beautiful 1860s Haussmann building, it’s hard to imagine a more typically Parisian abode. The interiors feel incredibly warm, traditional, yet also extremely sophisticated. Antique furniture sits comfortably on original wooden floors, and the marble fireplace is ready to light up the lounge (one of two in the home). It’s not often that we put a bathroom in such high esteem – its marble sink and rainfall walk-in shower just a few of the highlights. After exploring every corner of this apartment, it’s time to explore the area. Your locale is awash with bars, cafés, boutiques, and galleries. But a six-minute walk away, you can discover the entire city from the Lamarck - Caulaincourt metro stop.

Amber & Claw

This bright and welcoming apartment is a lovely base for a couple or a solo traveller in Paris. We love the location in the heart of Montmartre, just a kilometre from Sacré Coeur and the Moulin Rouge. Yet it’s tucked away in a tree-lined courtyard, so feels peaceful. The stairs to the mezzanine-level bedroom are on the steep side, and the bedroom itself isn’t very private. But for a pleasant place to rest your head in between seeing the sights, we think this is a great choice.

This simple studio apartment in Montmartre is an ideal base for couples seeking to explore the streets of Paris. With limited storage space, we think this home is better suited for those who travel light – good thing there's a communal laundry room here. The double bed is made up of two singles pushed together, and the kitchenette is compact – you won't get up to much cooking. But we like the large windows (although the view isn't the greatest) and the location is fabulous. You're close to charming eateries, museums, and parks – not to mention the iconic Sacré-Cœur is also within walking distance.

The Paris Songbook

Cosy and comfortable for two, you’ll find this apartment in the heart of Montmartre. The open plan living and kitchen area feels quite spacious courtesy of the cathedral ceiling – by contrast, you’ll need to mind your head on the sloping ceiling of the bedroom which is tucked in the eaves. The courtyard is a quaint spot for a glass of wine of an evening, albeit shared with the building’s other guests. And while there’s no oven here, you’re surrounded by restaurants, so dining out is always on the menu. 

Montmartre Blush

Tucked between Montmartre and the Batignolles district, this apartment provides a fresh city sanctuary in a fantastic location. Outside, you can stroll to cafes, restaurants, shops and iconic sights like the Sacré-Cœur. It’s also extremely well connected with great public transport links making it easy to explore further afield. Back at home, you can unwind on the private terrace or in the cosy living room. Remote workers will also appreciate the dedicated desk space in the bedroom.

Situated in the historic 18th arrondissement, this place is a haven among the hustle and bustle. As it’s a lived-in home, expect to see some of your hosts’ belongings dotted about, but there’s still plenty of room to accommodate you and your group. Our favourite feature had to be the private garden – a rarity in these parts. What's more, it’s equipped with a barbecue and a dining terrace for taking advantage of the warm weather. When you’re ready to venture out, the famous Sacré Coeur Basilica is reached in five minutes on foot, and the Lamarck – Caulaincourt is a short walk away.

Montmartre Oasis

A beautiful four-storey house with unique views of Montmartre's Sacré Coeur, this home is full of vintage objects and artefacts that the owners have bought and accumulated over the years. Each double bedroom is set on its own floor with a beautifully designed en-suite bathroom and sitting area, making it the ideal spot for a family or group of friends who would benefit from a little bit of privacy. The eclectic array of artwork fills the home with vibrancy and offers a creative nod at the creative district of Montmartre in which the home resides. Meander around the cobbled streets, stopping at the traditional brasserie cafes as you pass the local bakeries, cheese shops and florists until you eventually wind up at the Moulin Rouge, just a fifteen-minute walk away. Based in such a stunning location, it's safe to say you'll get the quintessential Parisian experience here, and with such rare views, visible from almost every window in the villa, it will be hard to tear yourself away when it's time to leave. 

Montmartre's Villa

It's just a two-minute amble to Canal Saint-Martin from this stylish home. The canal is perfect for a romantic stroll with its towpaths, locks, and bridges. A six-minute saunter will take you to the American Business School of Paris, while the Sacré-Coeur is just over thirty minutes on foot. Other attractions nearby include Place de la République, a twenty-five-minute walk. There are plenty of bars and restaurants on your doorstep to enjoy too.

Back at this apartment, have a rest on the comfy sofa after all that sightseeing. Thanks to the vases of pampas grass, orchids and other plants dotted around, there's a lovely homely vibe here. We love the warm wood floors and exposed brickwork in the bedroom. This versatile place is perfect for a solo traveller, a work trip, a small family, as well as two couples.
