This minimal apartment in Montmartre is an ideal choice for those who want to spend their time exploring the very best of Paris’ sights. Conveniently, the Basilique du Sacré-Cœur and this neighbourhood’s quaint boutiques are on your doorstep, while Abbesses metro station is a short walk away. As soon as you arrive, you’ll be greeted by a pretty shared terrace, followed by a staircase up to the apartment. Inside is practical and bright, though the master bedroom doesn’t benefit from any natural light. Still, with Paris' authentic eateries, museums and galleries within easy reach, this is a comfortable spot for a city break.

In a typical period building, your home is on a high floor and is bursting with character. Bright and quiet, you'll be wowed by the tall windows, high ceilings and wrought-iron balconies. There's a lot of love gone into styling this apartment, with homely touches and a real lived-in feel. Smart and stylish, the all-white walls and woodblock floors are timeless, and we love the well-stocked kitchen where you can sip your morning coffee at the little table each morning before heading off to explore.

Situated in the creative Montmartre neighbourhood, this modern apartment is a twelve-minute stroll from the famous Moulin Rouge. Though two guests will be sleeping on a sofa bed here, the living area is a bright spot to hang out and plan your itinerary.

Two guests will be sleeping on a sofa bed in that space, so their privacy will be limited. For this location, we can forgive that though.

There’s also a decadent bathtub here that beckons long soaks with a glass of bubbly after a day of exploring the city. Speaking of sightseeing, you’ve got countless points of interest within easy walking distance, including the Sacré-Cœur Basilica (ten minutes), the iconic Moulin Rouge (fifteen minutes) and the Musée de Montmartre (eight minutes).

This petite apartment is full of light. It boasts a glass roof and windows that look out onto the greenery of Cimitière de Montmartre, making it a tranquil home-from-home. The combination of glass and a mirrored panel makes the space seem bigger than it is, too – though it’s worth pointing out that there’s only one bedroom so at full occupancy, two guests will sleep on the sofa bed in the living room. You’ll be positioned between the Moulin Rouge and Place de Clichy, tucked away in a quiet tree-filled courtyard.

Another thing we love is the location, right in the heart of artsy Montmarte. Staying here is like stepping into a painting or a movie set, with cobbled lanes, blooming flower boxes and views in every direction. Make the climb to Sacré-Cœur – a mere five-minute walk away – then stroll down to the pretty Rue de l'Abreuvoir and enjoy a meal at the famed French bistro. There's plenty of choice for drinking and dining in this neighbourhood – from wine bars and bakeries to gourmet eateries. Plus, with Lamarck-Caulaincourt station just four minutes on foot, zipping around the rest of Paris is a breeze.

The open plan living and kitchen area feels quite spacious courtesy of the cathedral ceiling – by contrast, you’ll need to mind your head on the sloping ceiling of the bedroom which is tucked in the eaves. The courtyard is a quaint spot for a glass of wine of an evening, albeit shared with the building’s other guests. And while there’s no oven here, you’re surrounded by restaurants, so dining out is always on the menu.

Whether you’re a young family, business traveller or small group of friends, this apartment provides a contemporary and convenient base in the 18th arrondissement. The cafes and restaurants of Montmartre are on your doorstep, and La Basilique du Sacré-Cœur is a short walk away. You’re also a few steps from Jules Joffrin metro station, so getting around the city couldn’t be easier. The place is well-equipped, and the sofa bed offers flexibility for six guests. Though the windows are frosted, they still provide a bright and practical space for work or relaxation after a day of sightseeing.

With Montmartre and the Sacré-Cœur Basilica within walking distance, this apartment has an excellent location. There are plenty of shops, cafes, restaurants and bars to explore here too. Or relax with a drink on this two-level apartment’s private terrace which leads through French doors to the open-plan living room. This space also sleeps guests three and four on a sofa bed. The kitchen is quite narrow, but it’s well-equipped for creating some home-cooked meals and there’s room around the adjacent table for all your family or friends.

Spiralling Around

Just a short stroll from the cobbled streets of Montemarte, we love the stylish living space here – a perfect base for exploring Paris. Nearby you'll find the Sacré Coeur, along with the bohemian Abbesses and Rue Caulaincourt streets. Back at home, the balcony, while not offering much of a view, is a pleasant spot to catch some sun with your coffee. And although the location is brimming with spots to dine in, the kitchen is well equipped for cooking.

Nestled along the secret cobbled streets of the 9th arrondissement, the apartment is situated amongst some of the most emblematic districts in Paris, including Montmartre, Pigalle, and the Grands Boulevards. While the space is compact, it serves a solo traveller or couple beautifully for a memorable stay in Paris. As you step inside the apartment, you'll be welcomed in an instant by the warmth of the cosy interiors and dreamy layout the space offers. Snuggle up in the sitting area with a glass of French red wine in hand, before tucking into a cheese platter (bought from a local fromagerie) over at the kitchen's dining area. With plenty of trendy cafes, bars and restaurants on the street below you won't have to go far to try out more of the electric variety of cuisine available in the city of lights. 

Sweet Cocoon

We love all the little details in this Montmartre flat, from the ornate crown moulding and elaborate ceiling roses to Juliet balconies on the big windows. There's no doubt it's charming, but it also has all the 21st-century comforts any traveller would crave – a kitchen stocked with cookware, a lavish rainfall shower in the en-suite and a desk for at-home working. As a bonus, there's even a view of the Eiffel Tower – it can't get much more Parisian than that.

Outside, Montmartre and its bohemian atmosphere await. Here, artists paint along the sidewalks and cafes, bakeries, eateries and art galleries line the winding, cobbled streets. It's Paris at its finest, and the views from Sacré-Cœur – just a thirteen-minute walk away – are pretty breathtaking. South Pigalle's bars and theatres aren't far if you're craving a night on the town, while a quick ride on the metro will get you around the city with ease – perfect if you're in town to sightsee.

Renoir's Lanes

If you're looking for a prime location within walking distance of the charming cobbled streets of Montmartre and the Sacré Coeur, then this apartment is ideal. You'll find a number of eateries and bars in the area and green spaces such as the Parc Clichy-Batignolles - Martin Luther King. Back at this home, we love the large French doors that open to the Juliet balcony. This place is a lived-in home, so expect some of the host's personal belongings around – if that doesn't bother you, it does help give this apartment a homely vibe.

This simple studio apartment in Montmartre is an ideal base for couples seeking to explore the streets of Paris. With limited storage space, we think this home is better suited for those who travel light – good thing there's a communal laundry room here. The double bed is made up of two singles pushed together, and the kitchenette is compact – you won't get up to much cooking. But we like the large windows (although the view isn't the greatest) and the location is fabulous. You're close to charming eateries, museums, and parks – not to mention the iconic Sacré-Cœur is also within walking distance.

The Paris Songbook

Located at the foot of the Butte Montmartre, within walking distance of the Sacré-Coeur, this compact apartment is perfect for a couple or solo traveller. The kitchenette is better equipped for light bites, but with the endless number of restaurants on the doorstep, mealtimes won’t be a problem. Our favourite feature was the private courtyard – it’s the ideal spot to enjoy a nightcap. Best of all, getting around is easy – the Lamarck–Caulaincourt metro station is just a short walk away.

Montmartre Magic

Show up and start living the Parisian life at this exceptional Haussmannian apartment, located in the distinctly bohemian Indian Quarter. Completely renovated throughout by a renowned architect, this home has an opulent feel thanks to the soaring heights of the ceilings and original historical features. There are large, sumptuous beds, freestanding baths, monsoon showers, and an original wrought-iron balcony that sweeps the full length of the home. Or head to Bassin de la Villette, just 900 metres away, for brunch and a spot of people watching - you'll be in good company.

Ode to Haussmann

Sitting on the outskirts of the quintessentially Parisian neighbourhood of Montmartre, this apartment might be a little more contemporary than many of the addresses found in the historic locale, but it's no less worthy of praise.

One of the first things you'll notice – or we did, at least – is the bountiful amount of natural light that the interior is treated to from the large windows that line the open-concept living area. This feature makes it a bright and fresh environment to spend time in, something also helped by the minimalist design, which bears a conspicuous Scandi influence. If we have a bone to pick, it's with the limited scope of the kitchenette, but there's just enough equipment for preparing simple meals.

When you want to see a little more of the local area, the famous Moulin Rouge is less than five minutes' walk away and is one of a good number of entertainment venues and restaurants nearby. The similarly iconic Sacré-Coeur is only twenty minutes away on foot too and offers spectacular views of the French capital from its steps.

Winding through the colourful, cobbled hills of Montmartre is the ultimate romantic vision of Paris. Imagine strolling just fourteen minutes from the Sacré-Cœur and right into your charming apartment. Set back in the heart of this iconic neighbourhood, in a beautiful 1860s Haussmann building, it’s hard to imagine a more typically Parisian abode. The interiors feel incredibly warm, traditional, yet also extremely sophisticated. Antique furniture sits comfortably on original wooden floors, and the marble fireplace is ready to light up the lounge (one of two in the home). It’s not often that we put a bathroom in such high esteem – its marble sink and rainfall walk-in shower just a few of the highlights. After exploring every corner of this apartment, it’s time to explore the area. Your locale is awash with bars, cafés, boutiques, and galleries. But a six-minute walk away, you can discover the entire city from the Lamarck - Caulaincourt metro stop.

It’s on the ground floor and looks out onto the tree-lined courtyard, where you can sip your morning coffee and plan your day. The apartment is spread over two floors, but space and privacy are still limited, and you’ll struggle to prepare feasts in the tiny kitchenette. Luckily, you have Montmartre’s restaurants, cafes, bakeries and shops on your doorstep. For exploration further afield, hop on the metro at Lamarck-Caulaincourt.

Montmartre Oasis

We wouldn't want to bamboozle you into thinking that this home is larger than it actually is. In fact, it's rather – as the French say – petite. That being said, it could well be ideal for a couple or solo traveller looking for a simple base in a good location.

Behind the front door, the recently renovated space is bright and inviting, thanks in the main to the row of tall windows lining the walls that can be opened on warmer afternoons for some Juliet balconies. There's a simplicity to the design and the lounge area especially will be a relaxing spot after returning from a day of sightseeing. To be truthful, we don't think you'll be cooking much in the very limited kitchenette, but many might not see that as a major issue given you're in the middle of one of the most culinarily celebrated cities in the world.

Based in such a stunning location, it's safe to say you'll get the quintessential Parisian experience here, and with such rare views, visible from almost every window in the villa, it will be hard to tear yourself away when it's time to leave. 

Montmartre's Villa

You’ll find this one-bedroom apartment just a short walk from the Sacré-Cœur Basilica and the Montmartre district. If you want some green space there are several parks nearby and, of course, plenty of restaurants and bars. Save some energy for getting up the stairs back to this home as it’s on the third floor with no lift. Once there, you’ll find a cosy room with French doors to a Juliet balcony. Guests three and four will be sleeping on a sofa bed in this room at full occupancy. This place is ideal for a family or couples looking for a fantastic address.

La Lagille

Tucked between Montmartre and the Batignolles district, this apartment provides a fresh city sanctuary in a fantastic location. Outside, you can stroll to cafes, restaurants, shops and iconic sights like the Sacré-Cœur. It’s also extremely well connected with great public transport links making it easy to explore further afield. Back at home, you can unwind on the private terrace or in the cosy living room. Remote workers will also appreciate the dedicated desk space in the bedroom. 

Dream Vision 

Set on one of the charming cobblestoned streets that make Montmartre so famous, this apartment has a particularly desirable postcode with plenty of iconic attractions nearby. The interior is effortless, so fans of fuss-free interior design are well catered for here – however, you will find a few artworks hanging on the walls to pique your interest. The windows frame quaint Parisian street scenes, and you could while away the hours simply watching the world go by, fresh coffee in hand. The iconic Sacré-Cœur is less than ten minutes away on foot, and offers fantastic views over the city. Meanwhile, the cute cafés and artisanal shops that this area is known for do not disappoint, and you could easily lose yourself for a few days simply wandering as you munch on a crêpe from one of the street vendors. However, if you want to visit some other parts of the city, simply hop on the métro at Abbesses station – it's just two minutes away from your front door, and will whisk you into the city centre in no time.
