Start each day by getting the blood pumping with some lengths of your private outdoor pool, or challenge your loved ones to a game of tennis on your private tennis court. Then head inside to cook a delicious French breakfast in your bright kitchen, and tuck in alfresco at your outdoor dining set. As the evening rolls in, get cosy by the fireplace and chat away into the night with family and friends.

When you want to venture out, you'll find plenty of places to explore right on your doorstep. There are 17 acres of shared parkland to enjoy a bike ride or a ramble. Check out the nearby Teraventure, a fantastic amusement park with rides and attractions that are great for little ones. Or, head into the nearby city of Montpellier for great sightseeing, bars and restaurants.

Quirky & Quaint

Situated just outside the beautiful old village of Saignon and within easy reach of some of Provence's most charming towns and natural sights, it's the perfect base for your adventures. After a day of exploring, kick back in the large living room with a bar and TV, show off your petanque skills or cool off by the pool in the wooded garden before firing up the BBQ and dining under the stars. 


A Touch of Provence

At foot of the Mont Ventoux, in the heart of Vaucluse, nestled between centuries-old oaks and flowers, this charming home is perfect for a couple looking to get away from it all. First and foremost, with a pretty south-east facing garden, furnished terrace and private swimming pool, there's plenty of outdoor space to while away sun-soaked afternoons in the French countryside, with nothing but the sound of the chirping birds to interrupt your rest and relaxation. 

Inside the cottage, appealing artwork adorns the walls and a ruby-red colour palette runs throughout the open-plan kitchen, living and dining space to make for warm and welcoming interiors that will quickly have you feeling right at home. There's a different look in the bedroom with muted grey tones and palm-themed wallpaper to lull you into your restful slumbers with ease, ready for a day of exploring in the morning. 

Location-wise, you've struck gold. While the quaint commune of Carpentras, with its mini-markets, cosy bakeries, cafés, shops and restaurants, is right on your doorstep, you can also reach a number of interesting cities and tourist attractions within minutes. You're a thirty-two-minute drive from Avignon, forty minutes from Gordes, and only twenty-five minutes by car from the Grotte de Thouzon caves, just to name a few. 

The French Garden

Dating back to the 17th century, this historic villa is a true gem in the Provençal hills. You’ll have panoramic views of the surrounding countryside, with cypress trees and old stone maisons dotting the landscape. Drop your bags and head straight outside to the upper terrace, where you’ll find a shaded patio with an outdoor table and a spectacular view. Then, descend to the lower terrace, where a private pool and loungers await. Inside, exposed stone walls and wooden beams convey the home’s age and history, while modern amenities ensure that your Provençal getaway is a comfortable one. When you’re ready to venture out, the boulangeries cobblestoned hills of Gordes are right on your doorstep.

The Hills of Provence

This villa was once a wine-maker’s house, nestled amongst the overflowing vineyards of the Languedoc region. Today, it’s the perfect holiday destination for wine connoisseurs and non-drinkers alike. Surrounded by a charming village and spacious gardens, this is a true escape from the hustle and bustle of modern life. Choose to indulge in a glass of red as you challenge your guests to a round of pool, sip a refreshing white after a dip in the L-shaped swimming pool, or simply retain a clear head as you soak up an atmosphere so special you’ll want to bottle it. 


The Echantillon

This lovely little villa lies on a small medieval hamlet, surrounded by Mediterranean gardens. We think it's ideal for a romantic getaway – children aren't permitted here, so you can take advantage of the peace and quiet. With your own Jacuzzi on the terrace and a private pool heated between April and October, it's well-equipped for alfresco living. We highly recommend hiring a car here to make the most of this gorgeous location, whether it's a day trip to Sommières or the bustling Montpellier.

Private Heaven

Historic charm abounds in this delightful home. It’s tucked away on a quiet lane right in the heart of Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, mere moments from the Wednesday marketplace, museums, boutiques, and wine shops. The historic home boasts magnificent 14th-century features including limestone architecture, exposed timber beams, and antique furniture. It’s been stocked with modern amenities including a Nespresso machine and hotel-quality beds, and with local touches like olive-oil toiletries. Best of all, there’s a private roof terrace that offers sweeping panoramic views of Provence. 

The Presbytery

Set amidst the French countryside, this gorgeous retreat offers the French countryside experience with an added touch of Mediterranean charm. You'll be blown away by the quaint, idyllic scenes found both inside and outside of this home. We particularly love the enormous, curved Orangerie style backdoor which paves the way to the magical garden setting featuring a shaded alfresco dining area, day beds and a crystal clear pool – divine for a refreshing dip during the height of summer in the south of France. Back inside, the stunning open-plan kitchen-living area ensures a sociable stay for the whole group to enjoy together. The kitchen in particular will excite guests who are fond of cooking as the large central island makes it perfect for group cooking sessions. Why not book for a private chef to come and give you French cooking lessons? You'll also find that the local area allows guests to experience French culture at its finest. Mornings are for market visits here, so head on down into the local village, just a three-minute walk away where you'll find a lady named Patricia who sells fresh fruit and vegetables every Monday and Wednesday morning in the central square, Place de la Fontaine. Better still, visit on a Saturday as this is the main market day for the villagers to stock up on fresh meat, fish, cheese, truffles, wine and flowers. It's safe to say that such a warm and friendly atmosphere is hard to come by in France, if you're not in a rural village like this one.

Maison Orangerie

Amidst the serene countryside of Provence, this 18th-century farmhouse sets the tone for an idyllic French getaway. From the private pool, Jacuzzi and sauna to the peaceful rooms, every detail has been considered to create a magical stay. The bedrooms come with en-suite bathrooms and one of them is located in an independent annexe – perfect for those seeking a little extra privacy. Your host is on hand to help organise extras like private chefs, massage treatments and actives. Plus, it’s just a five-minutes to the small town of L’Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, while Avignon is only 25-kilometres away.

Mulberry Moon

Set amidst lavender fields and the rolling hills of the southern French countryside, wake up to the freshly fragranced air surrounding this magnificent setting in Provence. Ideally located in the heart of authentic Luberon, this Provincial country home is a dream come true for those seeking a true taste of rural France at its best. With easy country walks available from your front door and short driving distance to the nearby market towns, and an abundance of old French charm, a break here is like stepping into a carefully curated Pinterest board on the beauty of Provence. 

Smell the lavender and feel the sun on your skin as you wander around the quintessentially Mediterranean gardens with a view overlooking the valley of the Luberon park and the Mourre Nègre. Down the cobbled stone steps, you'll find a hidden terrace that features a heated infinity swimming pool, lounge terrace and breathtaking vistas of the surrounding landscape. 

Inside, the traditional country style 17th-century maison features seven large bedrooms, each with an en-suite bathroom making it an ideal spot for large families or groups of friends. The open living areas present plenty of space to enjoy as a group – as you'll find two kitchens, a piano, a ping pong table, petanque and board games. 

For those travelling with children, the house also has a dormitory-style bedroom which allows up to eight children to spend unforgettable moments together in one large suite with its own bathroom and double shower.

Although the home is in the middle of the countryside and completely tranquil, all supermarkets and shops are located within just fifteen minutes from the town of Apt, where you'll find several spots to pick up the shopping (including Intermarché, Leclerc, Auchan and LIDL) as well as local stores offering regional fare at the independent butcher's, fruit and vegetables store and bakery. 


Lavender Bloom

Provence has inspired many artists like Van Gogh, Picasso and Cezanne, and we would be remiss if we didn’t count the hosts of Le Ballon Rouge amongst them. This home, with its modern aesthetic and intuitive use of colours, is a designer’s dream. The atmosphere, however, couldn’t be further than the stiff formality of a gallery - from the alfresco dining on the terrace, to the poolside loungers, and the comfortable living room complete with fireplace, this home is as welcoming as they come. There’s a sense of play here, with boules and pingpong perfect for a house-wide tournament. If you’re looking for a creative retreat that’s isolated enough for some peace and quiet, yet close enough to access all the cultural sites of the region, Le Ballon Rouge should be rising to the top of your list. 

Le Ballon Rouge

With its secluded, heated pool, this elegant apartment housed in a 16th-century building in Uzès is the perfect French retreat. This charming restored home is full of character, from the remarkable circular stone staircase and wooden ceiling beams to the old stone floors. We love the gracious living room with its views over the fig and bamboo trees, the pool and the town's rooftops. There's a wood-burning stove, too, for cosy nights when the weather turns chilly and a desk for catching up on work as well. 

This place is ideal for a couple or family with two children. The icing on the cake here is the incredible hospitality from your lovely hosts. They can arrange all sorts of activities for you to do, including walking tours and cookery classes. 

When you're ready to explore the area, take a stroll around the town and admire the wonderful architecture or head to its renowned weekly market, then take a seat at one of its traditional restaurants. Further afield, visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Pont du Gard, under a twenty-minute drive away, or discover historic Nîmes, around thirty minutes in the car.
