The exposed beams, as well as the feature stone wall – which perfectly matches the cladding of the facade – all serve as reminders that this is in fact a farmhouse, but the way in which it has been modernised means the similarities end there. Sixteen minutes down the road, awaits the village of Pont-Aven – famous for its school of painters led by Gauguin.

Far away from the stresses of city life, this modern masterpiece lets you feel the Breton sea breeze from its southwest-facing private deck. La Rivière

Part of a historic 15th-century manor house, this maisonette is comfortable and cosy. It's 2 km from the centre of Concarneau, 6.5 km from the centre of Tregunc, 2 km from the sea, and 3 km from the beach. It has a kitchen with modern appliances and a dining table, a large living room, one large bedroom with an open-hearth fireplace, and a flat-screen TV. Guests can enjoy the estate's well-kept garden with lawn and wildlife garden area. It's conveniently located near several attractions such as Ville Close, Pointe de Trévignon, Pont Aven, Port Manec'h, and Quimper. Please note that the owner lives on the same property.

The Tidal Wave

This is a warm, welcoming home set in the quiet Breton countryside just outside Camaret-sur-Mer, a short walk from sandy Trez Rouz beach. Renovated with care, the interiors exude French farmhouse – think open-hearth fireplace, exposed beams, and sloping-ceiling bedrooms tucked under the roof. When it’s time to venture out, wander the artists’ quarter in Camaret, hike to the Pointe de Pen Hir, or enjoy wander the nearby beaches.

Golfers will love the close proximity to Golf de Baden (ten minutes away), while water sports enthusiasts will find themselves in perfect heaven in Arradon – just a fifteen-minute drive away.

Maison Champagne

This is a beautiful single-family house located in La Trinité sur Mer, just 900 metres from the sea and 1.4km from the beach. The house features large living and dining areas with beautiful furnishings, as well as an open kitchen with modern appliances and a dining nook. There are four bedrooms, including one on the ground floor with a French bed and an en-suite shower. Upstairs, there is another room with a French bed and two rooms with twin beds. Guests can enjoy a spacious terrace with outdoor furniture and a barbecue, as well as a garden that is currently being developed. Other amenities include free WiFi, a garage for two cars, and storage for bicycles. The property is conveniently located near shops, restaurants, sports facilities, and attractions like Carnac et ses Alignements and Presqu'Ile de Quiberon.

The Marine Garden

Set in a sleepy hamlet in north-west France, this 19th-century house has been fully remodelled with contemporary furniture and a range of mod cons. Driftwood panelling and parquet floors create a warm, cosy ambience, while the plush carpets and occasional intricate antique act as reminders of the property's glorious past. Gather together your travel companions and treat them to a delectable French meal you've whipped up in the fully-equipped kitchen — the local speciality is Poulet Breton, which is chicken in a sauce of crème fraîche, cider and mustard. It's not hard to picture lazy meals that stretch on for hours while you’re sipping wine, chit-chatting and making memories. When the weather is agreeable, the beach is only 500 metres down the road past villas and lush open fields. On this sandy stretch, you can experience days of pure ocean bliss, whether swimming in the shimmering waters, topping off your tan or building sandcastles. In the evening, fire up the barbecue out in the lush garden and enjoy a quiet evening with your loved ones under the stars. 

La Chanson du Grillon

This lovely home has views across the rooftops to the English Channel, which we love. Take a seat in the stylish living room with its wood floors, grey sofa and mustard-hued armchair. We love the little touches at this apartment, such as the botanical wallpaper in the main bedroom and the seaside-themed artwork adorning the walls throughout. This home is ideal for family or friends.

Situated in charming Carantec in Brittany, this apartment is 400 metres (a nine-minute stroll) from Kelenn Beach, while the Golf de Carantec course is thirteen minutes on foot. There are plenty of shops and restaurants on your doorstep too. Other places of interest include Saint Pol de Léon, located ten kilometres away, and Roscoff, under a twenty-five-minute drive from this home.



I Fell in Love at the Seaside	

Beautifully modernised and an architectural dream, this home will be the backdrop to a memorable stay. Nature is brought indoors tastefully through materials and textures, reminiscent of the stunning surrounding garden and beach on your doorstep. Downstairs is open plan and flooded with light – the ideal space for entertaining a large gathering of loved ones. Towering skylights offer a peak at the stars as you relax in front of the log burner on those cooler evenings. Each bedroom is clean and modern with a soft chalk colour palette, tastefully breaking up the serenity of white. We love how each room has a beam of French sunlight creating stunning shadow patterns through the unique windows. 

During summer, enjoy breakfast alfresco on your classic wooden terrace. The deck chairs are tucked around the corner to pop your feet up if you fancy a slower morning, feeling the gentle breeze on your face. Residing moments away from the glistening coastline means all the seaside entertainment is at your fingertips. You won’t need to leave your garden to have a memorable afternoon, however, with a ping pong table and other activities at home to enjoy. Pour yourself a glass of fine French wine, fire up the barbecue and you'll be in for a wonderful stay. 

Oculus & Light

This beautiful, thatched 19th-century cottage is as pretty as a picture. We love the gorgeous panoramic views of the river, sea, and the port from the south-facing terrace and garden. It's the perfect spot to watch the boats go by while tucking into some seafood washed down with a glass of local cider.

The interiors are just as charming as the exterior, with exposed stone walls, terracotta floors, vases of hydrangea and whitewashed beamed ceilings decorated with oars and fishing lines. Gather around the hearth with its deer antlers and wood burner when the Brittany weather turns chilly. There are more of those lovely river vistas from inside too. This place is a great retreat for family or friends all year round.

There's plenty to explore out and about – it's less than a minute's walk to the river, while Névez is just 4 kilometres away. The Port de Kerdruc is 270 metres, and there's a sailing school 5.7 kilometres, or if you fancy a day at the beach, Plage de Port Manec'h is just under 6 kilometres from this enchanting home.


Boats Etching Lines on the Water	

Situated in a quiet village close to the Brittany coastline, there's an air of nobility to the handsome white facade of this townhouse surrounded by idyllic grounds and this impression continues behind the front door.

High ceilings and tall windows make for palatial proportions in many of the rooms, especially the lavish bedrooms and the living room with its chandelier and vintage-style furnishings. By contrast, other spaces have been modernised, like the chic white kitchen which is plenty large enough for cooking up Breton-inspired feasts.

As well as scoring high in the style stakes, there's plenty to keep guests entertained here. On the top floor, a games room with a pool table and board games is sure to be welcome on rainy afternoons, while the three terraces, large garden and hot tub will all see lots of use when the weather's a little warmer.

In local Muzillac, there's a good choice of restaurants and bars a short walk from the home, while you won't be short of ways to fill a day in the wider area.  Beaches along the Brittany coastline are easily reached in the car, as are Brière Natural Regional Park and the city of Vannes.
