Lovingly restored between 1998 and 2008, this beautiful, riverbank castle dates all the way back to the 1520s – not that you’d be able to tell when setting foot inside. Though you can definitely feel the weight of its storied past – and also see it in the exposed beams, chandeliers, and statement fireplaces – this home also feels fresh and opulent instead of stuffy.

Located in Arties, an epicentre of the Naut Aran activity and aprés-ski. We love the pale tones throughout and the wood elements that add to the homely feel, tempting you to cosy up around the fireplace in the wintertime, but ultimately, we imagine you'll spend a lot of time relaxing on the balcony with your cup of coffee and croissant for a lovely start to the day, admiring the views over the church of Santa Mara and Montarto in the background.
